Ah! I almost forgot that picture Big Grin

The colouring really does improve it. I must admit. Its very basic but, for a first time colouring its damn impressive! I'm really supprised it looks that way for a first attempt, its very good Smile

If I had anything to add its, just keep practicing! I'm sure most of the artists (me included) wouldnt mind you using any other pictures to practice with. Smile

Well good tried Smile
just a hint: If yo uwant to shade with airbrush and you dont plan to make a dark backround, try not to use "black" as a color for the shadow. Instead, choose a less saturated (depends on how o uwant the light to be strong), more reddish yellow, almost like orange. The shadow must retain some f the original yellow color.

Thanks to all of you.
@SimpReal
I don't know how to use airbrush for shading, so I'm colouring all in dark and use glow tool to highlight the area.

If you colored it in photoshop, you can also try using Dodge Color and Burn Color to create highlights and shadows. I also use that for my pics and I think it gives the pics a pretty nice shading.

The picture looks nice, and it's good that you're trying different techniques. Smile
If you need some con-crit, the lines are a bit shaky, and the resulting picture was saved in JPEG with the quality not high enough. But aside from that, it's very good job, and the colored picture looks even magical to me. Love the shading on Lisa's hair especially - it looks so natural and cute! The background in nicely done, too. Thanks both to you and Gustavo. Smile

Hello, mmaavv.
The first pic. Quite good colouring, can't say more, while has painted nothing with my own hands. Sad What's up to me it looks very well.

And the second one, Alone.
A nice job too, especially I like the effect of drawing with oil paints. Yeah, nice colouring.

I see you have co-operated with Gustavo for granting to you the drawings for colouring. Wink Do you have your own pictures? If the answer "yes", well, you already know following request. Smile
And continue to master the technologies of drawing as in special programs, and with own hand. Maybe it even will be useful! Big Grin

Thanks. Lines suppose to be "shaky". In the next picture it would be different.
Then I use 100% quality settings for JPEG size of the file is 415Kb. What quality do you want ?
in "PSD" format it takes 5Mb.  Smile
The next pic already has a size of 13Mb in "RIF".  Wink
Sorry for late reply.
Yggdrasill
Unfortunately I don't have my own pictures in PC  Rolls Eyes yet, but it's just a matter of time - free time  Sad
And I have some pictures made with pencil but it's kinda silly and not simpsons related.  Wink

Well, 400 Kb is too big for a picture like that, but 36 Kb isn't enough either. Tongue Try saving your pictures with the quality of 75-85%. Usually this produces not too heavy files (100-200 Kb) with decent quality.

*slight bumple*

Alone
Thats good, cant say I've heard of the program before but, its certainly commendable Smile
The only thing bugging me is Lisa's skin tone. I wish sombody would explain to me also... when yellow goes dark, dows it go greenish or orangeish? For some reason, I've *never* got it right  Gigi

Anyway, wheee! I like it Smile I think its good practice, on Gustavo's work. Definatly benefits the peice.
Hope to see more  Smile

it is an interesting subject…  Smile

it depends on the imagination of each one…
in the drawing there are no precise rules…  Wink

but in absence of  light.   the bodies do not reflect light…   of there to that they are greenish…   the tone orangeish is a reflection of the skin Tongue….   (very pleasant) Tongue…
normally it is obtained in scenes with light

Nevertheless….   all this is subjective…   "friend the color of the skin tones is a reflection of the feelings that are wanted to express in the drawing" Smile…

greenish reflects sadness….   orangeish reflects joy….     but everything is subjective…. Wink

PS: THANKS MMAAVV! is a honor Smile

That's looks very complex! Really there's so many small details you have coloured, so I simply must to express esteem to your work. The colours are chosen simply wonderfully, the nightsky (oh, the night sky...) with a giant ablazing sun looks unral and...fantastic!
Thank's both of you guys. A brilliant idea of drawing and well realized colouring.

Ooh Nice one Big Grin
I particulary like how you've used the colour here Smile As Yggdrasill has said, you've chosen them well Smile It's so bold and bright that it adds to the unreal, out of this world feeling Smile
Good job ^_^

Very unusual coloring technique, but it somehow works for a picture. Smile
If I can make any suggestions, try to leave some of the outlines (for example, between Lisa's eyes and her skin, around her pearls etc). This can make the picture nicer - maybe not though. Well, it's good as it is, and it's so dreamy and colorful. Smile Keep up the nice work!
