Who, in your opinion, could fit Lisa better? "to fit" here = to be worthy enough, to suit better, to be a related soul, to be useful, understanding, helpful etc. All in all, to be good enough for being with Lisa. As usual, I will post and explain my choice later (although you can easily guess it).

We don't know much about Colin, but seeing as Lisa doesn't like Milhouse at all (and is annoyed by him most of the time) I'd vote for Colin anyway. She really seemed to like him in the movie, so...
I wouldn't know any other characters who share the same interests and hobbies as she does. Most of the characters that do have the same interests are either too old or one-timers.

I Would also say colin. Milhouse is a very erratic childish character, not the kind of person for someone of Lisa's personality.
Colin seems genuine, shares her beliefs, seems level headed and likes Lisa back.
Other characters as Suusje said are either older, or come and go. Other characters who have a sort of similar personality are also female.
If I was Lisa's age i would hope i could be a good friend but I couldnt be suitable in the slightest. Even though I am an outsider like her, i have selfish tendancies at times and can be hard to get along with. I would wish for more for our Lisa.
I hope Lisa stays with Colin. She deserves a little happiness. She deserves Friendship and she deserves someone to talk to properly about her feelings.

Colin of course,,, for now... I'm sure she'll meet other boys in future. But she will probably always go for enviromentally conscious, animal friendly, rebellious and (possibly) musician types like herself.

Serge must've had a devine moment when he made this thread, because in the episode that aired yesterday, Lisa starts to like Milhouse. But that's more because Milhouse his parents were missing (and presumed dead) and he changed from being nerdy to being self-reliant and sad, which in turn made him cool and somewhat poetic. Lisa really liked that. My vote for Colin still stands, though. I don't think Lisa will ever really be able to get along with Milhouse.

Suusje, she also liked Milhouse when he was helping her with Italian. In other words she likes Milhouse when he's not acting like Milhouse. Speaking of Milhouse and his unrequited love.... I found this funny thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1AVUJ5MxYs

Suusje, she also liked Milhouse when he was helping her with Italian. In other words she likes Milhouse when he's not acting like Milhouse. Speaking of Milhouse and his unrequited love.... I found this funny thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1AVUJ5MxYsAw... thanks for finding that clip, it's so cute... and actually makes me think over this a bit. As it is apparent, Colin is the perfect boy for Lisa, he has eveything that she could want and has no flaws whatsoever, or at least that we were able to see. But he was clearly "built" for that role, the little time he was with Lisa isn't enough for me to make such a bit assumption... besides, Lisa has had crushes before, and they were all relatively quick Milhouse on the other hand... as was stated here, he can act like a good friend to Lisa, and his crush on her lasts for years and years now. Just for his "dedication" to Lisa, he should earn at least the benefit of the doubt from her. I wish that Lisa gave Milhouse a serious chance (and of course, i wish for Milhouse not to blow it up, but... boys in love can be quite stupid). Honestly, Milhouse reminds me of myself when i was a kid. Glasses, nerdy, uncool and picked on by bullies unless i was a sidekick to one of them, and forever in love with blonde girls that were all too interested with more cool guys (and it hurt to see them so happy with them too!)... so yeah, the reality is that Colin would win, basing my opinion solely on what we see in the movie... But i stand by Milhouse here. Go Millie, you'll win her over sooner or later! Do it for me! (Oh and besides... Milhouse doesn't count )

Well, from my different and unregular thoughts about the subject of Milhouse' fit to Lisa, I've not sure at the end. Milhouse seems to be haunting for Lisa, like a stalker in some cases. I am not surprised with Lisa's denial of him. At the end, who is he? Nothing, but a usual boy with some crazy idea of love from such uncommon girl, like many of members here. I don't think he's really worthy of her strong untaking him as the worthwile. Lisa should be at least even more objective. But it's only my personal thought. It's not that I'm for undeserved love from Lisa's side, not at all. Still I think, if Milhouse cannot reach her real attention, it's only his own fault, and nothing else. He should be more of her lifelooks, should pay more attention to lifeproblems, that exists in the world, for he can see that such subject is really interesting to his unreciprocated passion. And, of course, he should think very hard about his own person, what qualities Lisa don't like in him. Still, if he simply can't change himself, at least he should ....pretend to make sure Lisa, that he's really deserving attention. But, again, his first actions must be adressed to environmentalism, social and psychological problems. It can be looking strange, but to reach her he must be ready to reject her for sake of those problems. Only after that she [maybe] gives him a slight good look. And what I can say about Colin. Well, he seems to be an ideal couple to her, he's full of principles that Lisa takes high, his tastes coincides with hers and he loves nature, animal, plays own music... I think it's the perfect type what Lisa-fans should try to reach in perspective. I'm fully confident he's a vegetarian, goes to meetings, takes part in various movements (to say his first appearance in movie was perfect witness of that). And by the way - he's smart boy It's not a mystery why Lisa had a crush on him from first minutes of seeing. Not a bad sides of him, but some questionable items that arise in my memory cotained in his birth and so sudden appearance. He mentioned that his father was a musician from Ireland, maybe the one who already cared about nature and who simply rendered his assistanse on his son. So Colin became really interested in such question person. What I'm trying to say, he had an inclination to such stuff almost from his birth, being a kid in such family. (yes, I remember, what kind of family has fostered Lisa in opposition to Colin) The thing that we maybe never know is what about Colins past - how he raised such qualities in himself, how he dealed with others, with children for they not mocking him, was he a "fighter" or just calm nerd like Lisa most the times she's in the school. His musical talents should take much of free time from him, but he's not strong attached to some instrument, he's a kind of multiinstrumentalist, like Lisa, but I dont think both of they will become someday a great musicians (but it's not ruled out). So, summing it, I think at present time Colin is the ideal deal for Lisa (*envies*). Only if Milhouse will chage something with himself (be it real things or just another performance from him) maybe there will be some changes. Or not.

Well, Milhouse is indeed erratic childish. And that's one of his main characteristics.
He would fit to her as a good faithful, helpful and kind of useful friend (like he's to Bart but oh well, not always.)

It is a difficult question. On one hand Milhouse would be a loyal and dedicated boyfriend who would do any thing that she wanted him to, but I really don't think that she wants that from that kind of relationship (maybe from her parents), so I think that Colin would be a better boyfriend. They share a love of the environment and music and get along really well and have so much in common. Also, Lisa likes him back which is more than we can say for poor Milhouse...

Well, looking at the results, i guess Colin will be Lisa's soulmate in the end, despite how little we could see on the movie compared to how much we know about Milhouse. Not that i complain Colin's a great guy for Lisa.

Heh, maybe it sounds weird, bit from my point of view they both don't match Lisa perfectly. Milhouse is a total loser, constantly moaning now. Sometimes in books or movies people, who hated each other since there were kids, change and then understand, that for so many years they couldn't realise, that their perfect soulmate was so close But in Milhouse's case he needs to understand, that he can be helped only by himself and became an independent person to match Lisa. Everyone can do this, but it's hard to begin, because it's so easy to be a loser and so hard to start living on your own. As for Colin... He's simply boring. Probably, I think so because writers couldn't depict many sides of his nature in one movie. If I could watch him through a couple of seasons, I suppose I could change my mind, but for now I suppose they couldn't be together for a long time, they're too independent, too similar, too perfect. Boring

Nobody voted for Milhouse? *scratches head* Aw, poor little nerd. brakusaetsyaAgreed about Milhouse, but maybe you'll give one more change to Colin? We didn't see him much yet, and I had a different opinion about him after watching the Movie. What attracted me the most, is how caring and understanding he was with Lisa. A boy who's so gentle with the character you like, cannot be bad... unless it's an evil plan to gain Lisa's attention and trust, then do something unexpected to her. But in any case, I wouldn't claim him too boring.

Nobody voted for Milhouse? *scratches head* Aw, poor little nerd. So many votes for Colin, and only one vote for Milhouse. I have voted for him! brakusaetsya, I do not agree with your statement that Milhouse the total loser. And an episode in which his parents have ostensibly died confirms that he reasonably is independent. Milhouse with dignity has overcome difficulties and loneliness. And even Lisa has supported him. And as to Colin, he simply is not interesting to me. He is boring, in it I agree with you.

MilChaosYeah, but we probably won't see Milhouse like that ever again. Milhouse has been pushed around by Bart and other kids from Spingfield Elementary for long, it's kind of hard to think different of him. So I still think Milhouse is a loser. Colin might be a bit boring for Lisa, because they have so much in common. And they do say opposites attract. Maybe Milhouse still has a chance (although I prefer he doesn't)

You know, this thread has made me feel even more sorry for Milhouse than usual... He is a nice guy, but he still needs to find his own way in the world and stop doing as others tell him all the time. A good example of this is in 'Radioactive Man' when he decides that he no longer wants to be playing Fallout Boy and runs away. If he stood up for himself a lot more I think that he would be a really good character. Lisa might even consider him to be a decent partner. We shall just have to wait and see what crazy plots Matt Groening has planned for us...

GeorgeHarrisonIn that episode... ...Milhouse's parents take a trip on a cruise ship, but for some reason I can't remember anymore they fall off the ship and are assumed dead, because their bodies can't be found. At the end of the episode his parents find they're way back to Springfield. Little Orphan Millie

I will speak with all sincerity ... The personality of Milhouse is not adequate ... this guy always tries to take advantage of the situation and appearances ... Colin is not the right person is very perfect (a bit false), and Lisa needs a person to send and Receive love ... I prefer Ralph (or "Rafa" in spanish) (from the first season, when he was more intelligent) Ralph is a guy very innocent and ready to surrender their hearts... maybe the perfect lover to her... a good guy.... (or me.. but i live in other world.. bad luck ) well in a word : Ralph...

GustavoThe personality of Milhouse is not adequate ... this guy always tries to take advantage of the situation and appearances ... Can't agree more. Colin is not the right person is very perfect (a bit false) Why? Colin seemed to be honest with Lisa in the Movie. Unless you meant that his character wasn't developed enough in the Movie... but it still was, to some degree, and Lisa liked him (and I did, too (not what you think )). Of course old Ralph, Ralph from the older seasons, would fit Lisa much better than current one. But I'm not sure he would be the perfect candidate. What if he grows up into another Wiggum? Sarah doesn't look very happy in her marriage to me.

I don't know if I've even posted here yet, but I'll give my two cents.
Milhouse is just a plain loser. They wrote him to be that way, and so whatever he does, he will inevitably fail at. He's a sexually confused, socially unaccepted, lovestruck fool who worships Lisa's every step. There are hardly any redeeming qualities about him, usually we only see the worst part of Milhouse. And of course let us not forget in the episode "Future-Drama", in which we see a possible future for Lisa with Milhouse. It's not pretty.
Colin seems to be the perfect match for Lisa, but I'm a bit biased against him due to his first appearance in the movie (which, over time, I have grown to dislike more and more), and the fact that his character is the exact opposite of Milhouse. Milhouse is constantly trying and failing to catch Lisa's eye, while Colin doesn't have to try at all, and Lisa falls for him instantly. Milhouse epitomizes everything Lisa doesn't want, while Colin looks like the perfect soulmate to Lisa. They wrote his character to be like that, and so whatever Lisa wants, he'll of course have. A love of the environment, laughably prodigious musical talent for such a young boy, etc...
In my opinion, they really should create a character with flaws to have someone like Lisa fall for. When they create someone for her like Colin, who appears to be flawless, it just gets boring. Because of course Mr. Do-Right will always be there and on top of everything, always there on his white stallion to save the day, perfect in every single way.
Ralph might have once been a good choice for Lisa, but they really destroyed his character. Plus it would have never been like something meaningful, instead it would always be Lisa caring for and looking after Ralph, due to his... slow mental progression.
I'm going to refrain from voting at all, because in my opinion, there exists no character at this point in time who could ever be the "right person" for Lisa.

despises a man with good feelings ?.... Wiggun is a good man .. (A bit stupid) but a good man ... Not perfect in the world ... And is very important understand the feelings of all .... This is a defect of Lisa .... She should also understand the importance of everyone, not forgetting the importance of the people who loved... and yeah... you are right GeorgeHarrison "there exists no character at this point in time who could ever be the "right person" for Lisa" (by the moment)

I think Lisa can find her love in future. Not today of course, while she's in school. Somewhere away from Springfiled like it was in Weddin'-episode. But only with a difference now it will be real love. But in her school there's no worthy couple for her, or at least as she thinks by herself. Still I can't say I want to see her as marry in the sequel. It's rather interesting to see her as a smart girl than a smart wife of someone. So I'm definitely for the continuation of her character without too much relations with men (or boys).

I’m not sure what Colin was for in the movie, other than to get Lisa acting dizzy and adorable. He needs a lot more development if he's going to stick around in the show. He’s wonderful, sure, but | | |
