I already sent some pm's asking for help to some of you guys about a Calendar and I want to expand it to writing. Everyone loves the characters, and so, I don't think you won't waste this chance to draw or write something involving them.  The year is almost over, and, well I know there is no way to gather so much work in so little time, but we can start ahead of time and we can practice for the upcoming year.

This was done already in another forum, and the result was magnificient.  A bunch of talent burst out the pages while the were opening, and not only that, but the feeling of participation was amazing.  I have to thank all of the members involved back then, but I won't mention names.  Thanks a lot for your help, guys.        I've been watching this forum and, Serge and Marco, you really made one great accomplishment here; not only you have less flamewars, but you got even more brilliant artists.  I'm sure is the atmosphere here causing that .

I will need the help of everyone to accomplish this dream. Every dream starts with a thought, but not every thought is carried out without will and passion to begin with, so I'm asking for volunteers for art and writing besides the ones that already received my messages.


Artists, I dont know if you have seen the crossover pic I did a few weeks ago, its name is?cloudsurfin'.  That's the idea for the calendar, or any piece of art where a poem or thought can be written on.

The Calendar.

A wide screen format like: 1440 x 900 pixeles or try to make it wide, leaving space above the character and below if you dont know how to do it.  I will help you making it at that resolution.  Now, the size in inches for the picture may vary, but please try to make it big so when we resize it to fit a screen its details will look finer and sharper.  Resoluton to a minimum of 150 pdi and not above 300 because it will be to big of a file.  For those who scan their work just make sure you set up your art at 150 dpi minimum and adjust the canvas size after scanning.  I can help you in how to do it if you need help. 


Colors: well, thats up to you to decide, but I suggest digital. 
Characters: one is enough.  *Imagines and emplty page*    but the more the better.


Regular illustration

Resolution at least 150 dpi
Size: Whatever you want, but not too small.
Colors: any media
It has to have a theme, a story needs to be told within.  This to help the writers do something nice for them


Icons or avatars.  Is there anyone wanting to do any icons.  Lisa, Maggie, etc.


Writers.   This is the time to express yourself even more and it does not have to be a poem, it can be a thought, but It can not be too long or it will not fit on the individual pics (illustrations)

Imaginaton is the limit. 


I'm pretty sure we can all make something really nice, all I ask is for patience and motivation.  After all we do art, and writing anyway, let's just give it a purpose and participate with each other.

Thanks everyone for your support.    October maybe dalayed, but this year is already gone, and like I said before it is just to practice and planning for next year.  I think I will end up doing the rest of the year, me and some folks I talked to are willing to do some months too.  I loved the idea of having two versions for the same month.  Thanks again.

I will fill whatever months is left behind and if there's none, I will just repeat several of them.  After all I willenjoy doing it, and there is plenty of time.


*Something I'd like to ask you, please have the month ready before the begining of that month, that for next year.  This year just try as hard as you can. 

I see.  Well, if one didn't worked out, well, that does not mean this one isn't.  There was a lot of preasure back then if you know what I'm talking about.  A lot of perfectionism just to appear good with others while keeping a "good reputation" or whatever you want to call it.  I dont think that will happen here, because that line of separatism does not exist, or I haven't seen it.   We all know there are ones better than others, but like you see here Serge a lot of people is willing to participate, and I feel more at ease working with this idea inthis forum than the previous one.   Now, how about a wing?

I personaly would like to see more people who are new to art take this sort of thing on. It shows the difference and in some cases progression from artist to artist at all levels. I wouldnt be too thrilled if every peice of the calander was completely perfect in everyway. If I wanted that I'd buy the official one.

If it's not too late I'd like to switch to January.

Sorry, but there has been a mistake in January.  I took one artist without checking at my pm first, so we have 2 artist for January:

Yggdrasill and The_Real_Joe_Cool.  Remember that there isn't nothing wrong about having two artist doing the same month.  We could be changing our wallpapers if we get bored of one , and use the other one.  I'll be doing some months that are already chosen; remember variety is the key!

This picture is wonderful! Heh, Colin resembles Jim Carrey a bit but their expressions are so nice. Looking at this picture, I can believe that those two actually love each other. *sigh*

Please, let other people see the pictures before the whole work is finished. They deserved to see them, artists deserved some comments... once the finished calendar is published, it will be discussed separately, don't worry about that, it won't be left unnoticed.

Should I be posting "spoilers"  I mean I'm not the one to decide, not Serge, but I just wanted to show it all together , or the most I can by January first.


Important:  Folks november is already running and we need to have more months.  No pressure, but a reminder. 

Well, I think a dedicated 2008 calendar is a good idea, and somewhat better than to start somewhere in the middle of a year. Maybe the artists could try to finish their pics for Christmas? The calendar would be a wonderful Christmas present for the LTS folks.

I would love to take July; but it looks like it's already taken.
