"Breathe the pressure! Come play my game I'll test ya!" (- Breathe) *headbangs* Awsome choice Rizzy, love The Prodigy [edit] Anyways, another list to fill in... and as D.B. said, it will never be constant. 1) Agalloch (listened to these for a few months and I still havent tired of them yet. Thanks to Marco for introducing them to me ) | [huge gap] | v 2) Slipknot 3) Machine Head 4) Soilwork 5) Rammstein 6) Stone Sour 7) System Of A Down 8) The Prodigy 9) CKY 10) Bullet For My Valentine 11) Metallica 12) KMFDM 13) Fear Factory 14) Alien Ant FarmAnd thats all of the bands I listen to. Theres probably something I've forgotten though, there are other bands like Shadows Fall, Pitchshifter, Lunatic Calm, Aphex Twins, which have all made the odd track that sticks in my mind. But for the majority of the day I spend miming and air guitaring Agalloch.

Enslaved - Yggdrasill (1992, demo)
I *knew* your nick seemed familiar . Enslaved missed out by only a couple of places for me (mainly on the strength of Isa, which I think is an awsome album).

Sheffa Nice choices. I would've included Beatles solo careers, but in my opinion putting down The Beatles is enough to say that you enjoy the work of all four.

1) Queen 2) Enigma 3) Depeche Mode Well, that all It seems that only these 3 bands stay in my playlist for a long time. Others are constanly floating and changing from one style to another. Right now Staind and Breaking Benjamin probably could be in Top 5 too, but I'm not sure. As for favourite albums, all my music was downloaded, and often wasn't sorted, so sometimes I even don't know, to which album any track belongs and how many albums does some band have. Shame on me

If Brakusaetsya has replied here, I think I should, too 1. Opeth. One of the most talented bands I've ever heard. Various kinds of music (heavy mostly), but all their songs are very deep, touching and professional. My favorite albums are Blackwater Park and My Arms, Your Hearse. 2. Nightwish. Another well-known example of brilliantly done metal music. 3. Everclear. I have only one album of them (Good Time For A Bad Attitude) - but God knows how many times I listened to it and how many times it pulled me out of bad mood. Thanks to those guys for that! 4. Enigma. Very good music, distracting and relaxing one. Goes well with the worktime... 5. Pagan Reign. A very talented Russian band. There are other great bands as well (Metallica, Shadow Gallery, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Novembre etc), so those numbers above aren't something static. Everything changes... *goes listening to Bloodbath - Bathe in Blood* EDIT: Offtopic... Ygg, why you've deleted your post once again? There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Please, I ask you to be less uncertain about your posts, every time someone deletes their words, I feel that the forum looks unfriendly to them.

Ah! The good old favourite band topic...got to be done! OK, here are my ten, they're in no particular order as I can't rank bands, they all have their own unique qualities and that makes them hard to compare. -REM -The Who -Led Zeppelin -Pearl Jam -Crowded House (and I'd include anything by Neil Finn/Finn brothers in there too) -Midnight Oil -Idlewild -Bloc Party -The Byrds (well, their pre-country & western stuff) -Rammstein (yeah...I know...) Rock on...

Ah, dammit! How could I ever forget my favorite local band, Everclear! D: I don't think I really think when I type. They have so many songs that really get to me. (wonderful, for ex.) Nice picks Jangle, Cargo. Gotta love Rammstien.

DagdamorThere's no tragedy in my actions. Everything I do I do more or less certain, so to delete some spam by mine was not so bad thing. Sorry for making you feel uncomfortable. And - what the Hell? - I was going to write about Pagan Reign's album "Древние Воины" (Ancient Warriors), but in the last moment I've decided to replace it with another band.

I'll split my list into two:
5 Bands that are "classics" and will always have a place in my earth despite i don't listen to them a lot recently
1) Opeth 2) Agalloch 3) Anathema 4) Dark Tranquillity 5) Pantera
Honorable mention for Novembre, their music always peeking in my life lingering in the air like the scent of a beautiful girl that doesnt want to let be seen...
and 5 bands that are my favourite listens in the last months:
1) Threshold 2) Machine Head 3) Strapping Young Lad 4) Meshuggah 5) Dream Theater
Honorable mention for "Elio e le storie tese", Italian band that are as great with the instruments as funny with the lyrics. Like an Italian Weird Al, but with more intelligently funny lyrics and great musicianship (without sticking to a genre).

* Dagdamor is surprized at how many unknown bands are being posted here Sometimes I think I'm dump when it goes to good music. But Marco's and Rachel's list are very close to mine, so... nice choices. Still have to pick and listen the new albums by Amorphis and Anathema...
