www.pics.lisa-simpson.net  I've been working on this site since november last year and it's finally finished! Lisa's Pics is a site dedicated to pictures of Lisa. But it still needs many more pictures, so it would be nice if everyone here could donate something. That way we'll get a nice and big collection of Lisa pics. So... What do you think?

Yay! Nice idea, nice design, nice content.  I'm glad your project finally sees the sunlight. As a programmer, I'm also very impressed because your site's engine is rather complex and I know you wrote it from the scratch yourself. Kudos! Keep up your nice work, I will search for nice yet unknown Lisa pics too. There should be quite some of them around. Going to add your button to LTS right now |

Very impressive. It's got a nice design, it's easy to navigate, it's got a wide range of content and hopefully that content will grow in time. Can't ask for more than that!

Well done! Navigation is very comfortable and pictures are so great. Always nice to see a new Lisa-shrine, and every section is interesting and useful!
Just want to ask - how would you divide distributors to fanart section of LP with SR? Wouldn't these 2 projects copying one another partially? That's nothing bad in it, just interesting.

The black background is somewhat unusual for a Lisa fansite, but the overall appearance is very nice. Clean, reduced to the necessary items, and of course lots of wonderful content. I think you could make the fontsize a tad larger; I figure that it might be hard to read with a large screen resolution. Other than that, very nice work!

Thanks for the nice replies, everyone! I've added 18 new pics (10 promo's and 8 pics from Yggdrasill) to the site. brakusaetsyaYeah, most of the Lisa pics will probably be on SR and LP, but the big differences will be that SR also has non-Lisa fanart, descriptions and the option to post comments. AndreasI've chosen 11px as the font-size, because 12px looks really big compared to 11px. For some reason the letters get really big, even though it's a difference of only 1px. Because of that, 11px makes the lay-out look a lot cleaner than 12px. |

SuusjeNice update! A little remark - just tried to add a comment, but the site said "An error occured while processing the comment!" The comment text is alright, I guess, not too long, although it contained ' and ^ chars. Please fix when possible brakusaetsyaSR is for original art only, while LP also allows grabpics, promos, wallpapers and other kinds of Lisa art.

SuusjeSome more little remarks and suggestions - There is a space between thumbnails in the gallery, but only between two pics in a row. Maybe adding a space between rows would make it look nicer. - When you open a picture (in the popup window), there is a small white margin visible in my Opera. Looks like "margin:0px" is not enough for the "body" tag, you also should add "padding:0px". - Why not displaying the title of a picture in the popup window's caption. - When you calculate the Y-position for the popup, it's better do divide by 3 (or even by 4), not 2, because of browser's menus, toolbars and such which also take place and moves the popup down. - Pictures in popup windows are not centered. - There is no way to link a certain picture (for example, to show to your friend). Suggestions aside, in the "promos" section there are some great pictures which I've never seen before, thanks!

SuusjeNice update! Finally, one of my favorite pics with Lisa (actually Lisa and Maggie) is there too. Also congratulations to Maggiecute! By the way... do you have more 88x31 buttons to exchange? The current one is okay, but I'm thinking about one with different color (not so pure blue one), maybe it would fit better in the LTS buttons list.

Agreed with Dag "Real Lisa" rule, there are some nice 3d-versions, although Lisa with black outline of eyes is strange and a bit scary. Thanks, very interesting section. And all grabpics are great, when I look at this gallery, I think about your amazing ability to choose such great moments! Very inspiring. |
