.... BAH!

(Though, I wouldnt be too concerned if it was sombody a little more.... German.)

Well as long as they're just in THAT small part only, it should be okay...
I doubt Green Day will "take over" the movie in any way like guest stars usualy do in a normal Simpsons episode... Confused

EDIT (AGAIN): Well after a bit of research I found this but I'm not sure about it's reliability, could all be wrong and...I'm really hoping it is!

A spokesperson for 20th Century Fox wouldn't confirm anything, but according to the band's rep at Warner Bros./ Reprise, the erstwhile American Idiots do appear in the film and will even have a song featured. It's not clear if the tune will be something written specifically for the Simpsons' flick, which hits theaters July 27

Hehe... compared to other guest stars, that's a bigger steal than usual.

Oh, I don´t mind seeing some guest stars on the movie. It is not a must, but I also don´t care. What I have seen from the trailers and teasers is so far so good. I will watch this movie in original language on the premier (or my birthday, on day after). Smile

Yup... though, predjudice against Green Day aside, I see this as a way to attract more audience. And since the exact same thing would happen with Rammstein, I guess its fair play.

I would have loved to see Georgie boy Bush in this though. Or Jeremy Clarkson. Or Daewon Song perhaps... but thats ambitious.

well Green Day is a very popular band their music is very well known. I myself went to one of their concerts and it was cool (even though i dont really listen to them anymore). It does not bother me is they are in the movie, but in all honesty I only know one name on the list of people that you named off, and that is Daewon Song. I think that the writers and directors or whoever does the guest bit just picked them because of their overall popularity

Probably. Lately I've noticed that guest stars have gone from people like George Harrison and Paul McCartney to people like 50 Cent. I wonder why.... Wink

Then its settled. I hearby announce we sign a very large petition to grant Serge the greatest award of all: Most Popular Man of the Year award for 2007.

Then we can watch a good episode. How can a Serge involved episode NOT involve Lisa?  Lisa

Nah, if it was Jake I'm sure we'd be trying to put characters IN to the show, instead of take them OUT. Big Grin

As for Lisa, if I was in the show, I would see myself more as a body guard than a close friend or god father figure.

I prefer Green Day's early stuff. Billie has certainly let his hair grow out, it's ugly. x.x
But I'm curious as to why they're in it. Publicity maybe? For both Simpsons and Green Day?

(Oh no, where'd the posters go?)

Ya mean Rammstein, don´t ya?
Rammstien is awesome. Smile

I was just thinking that Greenday should guest star as they are a fairly decent band. Now I've found out that they are in the movie, I am even more stoked than ever.

Oh and FTR: I like Armstrong's hair style.

I really wouldn't like to see GD in the movie if they and the Simpsons will just be leeching off each other's popularity. I suppose they think that the fans of GD are seperate from the fans of the Simpsons, and that even more people will see the movie.
