Hey ya'll. Dunno if anyone remembers me, but I'm C.Victoria from Simpworks. You know, that weirdo who used to draw Sideshow Bob a lot. I found the link to this place on Dagdamor's NHC user profile and thought I'd come say hi since I recognized a lot of the usernames here from Simpworks. ...so, hi! I'm still drawing The Simpsons, but not as often as I used to. Just often enough so that I don't become out-of-practise at drawing the characters. I'm also drawing on paper now, not on the computer. So er, here's something I did on paper and coloured in Photoshop.

Welcome aboard Vicky The picture is very nice! Light colours for a light hearted scenario Cant really crit on it, lots of new additions to the style such as the blue eyes. Very cute! Thanks for sharing

Heh, their eyes aren't blue. If there's one thing I can't stand it's giving the characters of the show irises. Something about it looks weird and ehhh...wrong.

It's okay. I think you just saw them as blue because they look like they have irises in one of their eyes anyway.

Welcome indeed! I remember you from Simpworks and it's nice to see you on here. Great pic too, it's a nice distictive twist to the Groening style and the expressions are very funny. Well, if Barney had married Marge instead of Homer.....

Hehe! Cool, interesting poses and positioning. I like Moes expression And Homer in the bottom right corner is funny too Your new Simpsonic you is much more realistic, hence, much closer to the 'new' Simpsons on TV, where as the 'old' Simpsons would be less detailed. Damn fine Tablet handling. You look tired, or hungover, or both (if that wasnt intentional, which I asume it is, then you can shoot me or class it as con-crit Your choice) Regardless, nice pictures

Mmmm, new simpsonic me? This is the first time I've ever drawn myself in the style before. I've made up characters that I've used to represent myself, but none of them were actually supposed to look like me.
Oh and the tired look was intentional, heh.

(Yey, the school computer dosn't block your art , didn't have to wait till I get home ) *Ahem* Anyway...I think the sketchs (smudgey as they are) Really look proffessional . They're just so...on model and I could even see your simpsonized self appearing in a comic/episode X) My fav out of the random squibbles just has to be Homer though Such a wacky expression I find these quite impressive

I like your expression(s) on the first sketch! Good job - very original but still simpsonized. The second one... is a sketch where everyone can find something or somebody to adore. Mine is Lisa, without doubt. Her pose and expression are great. Very nice work once again, Vic

Hi! You draws very nice. I like very much the strong and confidently traced contours of the characters. That's makes me feel that you have some experience in this, maybe went to drawing study group or so, I don't know... Then the pics newyears2006That's impressive! Very skilled work. The plot, the details, the expressions of Bart and Maggie and their poses looks very good, like the professional artist's hand made it's mark. (oh, Maggie makes me smiling once again ) And shading is very well. Can I ask you what instruments you used to make the effects of the shading? And by the way what size of brush you used here? (I'm just in the very beginning of tablet drawing now). Simpsonic_meThe selfportrait looks nice, can't compare with the original but i think it looks not worse . Still looks good. But most of all I like you "simpsonic look" at Rachel. The right "copy" is rather more pleasant to me because of her shining smile Well they all looks very nice. You should to draw another members of LTS soon to not offend the others

Heh! Finally I know how Rachel looks Or how would she look like if she lived in Springfield. Great job, Vicky. Very "Simpsonish" and realistic. Being honest, I wanted to ask you about something... can I? It's a coloring request...

Thanks alot! Can I ask you what instruments you used to make the effects of the shading? And by the way what size of brush you used here? (I'm just in the very beginning of tablet drawing now). I colour everything in Photoshop 7.0 using the default brush tool, and the size depends on the size of the space I'm colouring. Say, for spaces such as Bart's face and body, I use a large brush, and for smaller spaces that require small details, such as the glasses, I use a smaller brush. I don't use a specific size everytime, just what I feel most comfortable with for the picture that I'm drawing. You should to draw another members of LTS soon to not offend the others I'm always very happy to draw anything for anyone. If somebody wants something from me, they should ask. Heh, I can't just go around drawing random pictures for everybody.

Okay, but don't kill me please... because the subject is well-known... Remember this picture? Well, I still dream to see it colored. If you don't want to do it, then okay, but please explain why and I won't bother you anymore (since it's not the first time iirc). And if you can do that... HUGE thanks in advance!

Picture just before I go to bed. I was experimenting with drawing styles. The colouring style for this was *slightly* inspired by graffiti art, which seems to really suit Bart, him being...the graffiti type kid, and all. I plan on drawing the rest of the family in this style.
And most likely Bob, too.

"Impressive" is the first word that comes to mind. The colors and shading are great. His pupils looks strange though... I've seen "shifted" eyebrows on cartoons often, but never pupils. The picture is still amazing. Love Bart's expression, too.

That works really well, the colouring fits in nicely with the exaggerated style. I'll look forward to seeing how the rest of the family come out!
