I've just heard that
Michel Modo -a French actor- passed away two weeks ago. He wasn't very famous outside France and I'm not sure anybody on
LTS have already heard about him. You're probably asking yourself why I'm posting about that here?
In fact,
Michel Modo spent the last 20 years of his life making voices for movies and animated cartoons: he was a voice talent in The Simpsons Show (French Version).
Today, the French Simpson's community is in mourning, because
Michel Modo was behind the voice of:
- Seymour Skinner
- Montgomery Burns
- Krusty
- Clancy Wiggum
- Julius Hibbert
- Marvin Monroe
- Kent Brockman
- Joe Quimby
- Sideshow Mel (Tahiti Mel in the French version)
- Sideshow Bob (Tahiti Bob in the French version)
- Jasper
- Gil
- Kirk Van Houten
- and some others...
This event came few weeks after French version's writers announce that there will quit the show at the end of Season 19. Without all of them, I don't know if the Simpsons' French version would be the same anymore...
Rest In Peace, Michel!PS: I hope I'm in the right section.
