I'm locking the topic temporarily to read (three pages have been added since last i checked) and to take measures if needed. Will probably unlock as soon as i'm done....
P.S: The topic was clearly about a certain kind of pics without focusing on any "fetish" or artist in particular, yet i see the most heated discussion was on the subject of OB being the artist and the pic depitcing Lisa and a tampon. I would like to note that the same persons who went most against and got most heated up fighting about these two things are the same who made those two thing public in this thread despite the pic was deleted and no one would have known about them if not asking LL directly, thus saving the thread from another humiliating useless flame.

I think next time we should reserve the right to remove the most stupid acting (i.e. publishing names, details etc.) from such topics... better to hear an accusation in the "fascist regime" than to frame a person. Besides, if certain members say that removing the picture is the right decision, they should agree that removing unnecessary hints about the same picture is also the right decision.

It's a bit like when you go see a movie, and a plot twist or the ending gives the movie a bad turn in your opinion. You could say you didnt like the movie freely, but if people ask why, you'd tell them to go see the movie first ,without spoiling it for others that don't need-don't want to know. So yeah, if the pic is forbidden but in private then discussion about it is also forbidden but in private. I reckon this way of doing things might be silly but i don't see any other way to prevent people that would be offended by such arguments (see BR) to be safe from them. Now the damage is done and there's no meaning in cutting/editing, but i hope this will be remembered for the future (i also hope it WONT happen in the future too). Oh and Mr_Snake, congratulations for making a fool of yourself with your first post on LTS. Not funny. Also, the discussion didn't start with that and didn't end with that, check back your joke factory, it's broken. |

You should have deleted this thread from the beginning... as I said. I mean, this topic IS about this picture, his artist and nothing else. So Marco, you are wrong, I guess, it?s more like a spoiler thread - the one who saw "the movie" can talk in here as much as the person want to.

I just don't see any way that this discussion couldn't have gotten out of hand, I mean there were bound to be opposing sides, and they were going to argue about it regardless. I don't see what's the huge fuss about the fact that we mentioned some of the details of the pic, it's not the same as actually seeing it (in this case it's different than spoiling a movie).
Blaming this whole situation on the fact that Frank and I mentioned details of the picture and the artist's name is pretty low. I still don't see what difference it would have made. You took the picture down in consideration of the minors on the forum I presume, but this doesn't mean I can't use details from the picture to validate my point of view.

Well, I just checked the beginning of this thread, and Marco deleted the offending pic only ten minutes after it was posted. I don't know how many people managed to actually see the pic, but judging from this discussion, it was only a handful of users. In my opinion, it is moot to discuss about something that has been removed as quickly as possible - LoveLisa obviously didn't read the forum rules in the first place, and he got a friendly reminder for that. But still, some of you went on a crusade, displaying flat-out repudiation over several pages (!) within a couple of hours. The mere fact that this thread was not locked isn't exactly a carte blanche for a flamewar. So much for intelligent discussions...  |

I agree with the above statement. I got home and logged in to this forum and was dissapointed to see this. I do think these things should be discusssed from time to time but I think things have gone to far here. LL made a mistake and this was discussed. and LL replied soon after with a reasonable post saying in a kind of way that he realises why they were deleted and gave some reasons why he did. Then things got out of hand and before you know it insults were flying around from the OP and other members. The discussion should have really stopped there and not degenerated into one of the worst threads I think I have seen on here. There were some good points made within however, like those made by Black Raven as tho why she would find this uncomfortable, which is a good angle to have. But i do think that a lot of other posts here were only made for the sake of one upmanship and to create a fight. Both sides of this arguement have valid points, but both have some frankly useless comments only posted to stir things up it seems. This has gone far beyond LLs original post and into a full blown bloodbath between members. Both sides have to realise that some people may like this, and some people will be offended and respect thier various views. People should have just put thier points across, others put thiers. Why do these things have to be so personal and hateful??? People have thier own right to make thier views known, that is to be welcomed, but when these points are used against others then this is totally wrong. Some of these views say that is is ok to devalue others opinions because they dont agree with this... Not the spirit of Lisa i think! ... so now lets please get off this topic and get back to some wholesom Lisa cookie munching  - Carl |

Thanks to Andreas and Carl for being the voice of reason in this matter.
As for me, frankly, i am sick dead of these quarrels. If i locked or deleted the thread, you would have screamed "censor censor". If i had let it go, i'd have offended the people who do not want to see such pics. I did what i thought what it was best, and i still was wrong. Now i even have to stand a bunch of members fighting themselves just because they want to "have reason", just like always, everyone thinks he's best and doesnt care if the thread turns into a cesspool just so they can prove they're right.
I am, sincerely, very pissed off and i will decide soon if to leave moderation of this place or turn the severity up a dozen of notches. Either way, i'm sick of this happening every goddamned time.
I'll start with locking this crap, this time PERMANENTLY, and if you have to protest about it, don't.
If you want to start off again with the right foot, do, but be aware not to go this way again.

Most of the members here are intelligent people, like on any other mature forum. As for Mr_Snake... meh. If tampons and blood are the only things he noticed here, it's up to him. He behaves exactly the same way on all forums, so it wasn't something exclusive  BebNah, it would be a good joke if he didn't mix up the cause and effect

SimpRealI hope you won't do any of these things; I perfectly understand your reasons, but what to do, being an admin is being an admin. Having heated discussions on your forum is a headache, but it's still better than having a dead forum or a forum where most of the topics look like "check this link!" - "wow!" - "cool!" etc. Different people have different opinions, and if they are mature enough, they tend to prove their opinions with lots of arguments it's life. And if Snake's comment was the "last feather", I ask you to not to take this so hard; it was just a silly joke, not something to humiliate us all. Like Gustavo said, it's an open forum, so let's keep it open. I wouldn't even close this thread, better to wait until it exhausts itself, but it's up to you.
