When I watch The Simpsons, it's interesting to look at their everyday life, especially Lisa's. Are there moments you like more than others? My favorite moments are when Lisa looks dreamy and thinks about her future. Also, I hope you won't hate this, I like to see when Lisa is sad, even when she's crying.

I have no hate for this, even a breeze of a bad feeling. In such moments you are able to see her sentient being, witch is also part of her, that is even wonderful. It's    just this coexistence with her logical reasoning - that made her so special - like a knight of heart and wit, who never act befor aksing his/her heart and mind.

P.S. If you think we would hate you for such a thing you should read some tales of Lisa in our Library.
I would propose Kind of Blues for a start then Gently and Lisa Fitzgerald, but I should warn you, Gently and especially Lisa Fitzgerald aren't "capable" to everyone, partially they're very sad.
P.P.S. Wings is also commendable and another "version" of it http://www.simpworks.com/forums/round-robins/sci-fi-drama-%27wings%27/0/ Wink

I kinda start to recollect my favourite moments with Lisa. One of the best is her almost apelike duplication of Marge's way of behaving. Like in the cases when Bart and Homer doing something unlawful, the girls of the Simpsons family looks at them with such undisguised... I don't know how to explain this perfect expression Big Grin ... a kind of "boring to death" expression caused by guys' stupidity. That's perfect moments!

Agreed on the sad parts. LF was a very powerful story for me. If you haven't done so yet, I also recommend reading 'Full Life wo Sagashite' for the coup de grace in sad Lisa stories.

Just a side note, 'Lisa Fitzgerald' and 'Kind of Blue' were both written by the same woman named Jenny.

I concur Lisa M. Simpson and CC, it's a bit hard to admit, but seeing Lisa suffering, no matter what the reason is, makes her personality more real, alive to the fans. That's why the most realistic and vivid Lisa stories are the most angsty. Child of Darkness, Gently, Lisa Fitzgerald... in certain scenes, Lisa suffers a lot there. I'm not talking about the mentioned Round Robin, it can be called even "sadistic" in places IMHO. If Lisa was real, she'd probably disapprove such kind of treatment, but on the other side, if she was real, there would be no need in such stories... We all see Lisa in the show, handling everyday situations with ease - and fanfiction shows us her from completely different angle, reveals us something we would never see otherwise. So I can understand what you mean.

And answering your initial question -

Are there moments you like more than others?
Tough question, I'd come with moments when Lisa spends time with her family, especially Marge and Maggie (e.g. needle-working on the family counterpane, babysitting with her sis). Also, when Bart is being nice to her, but that happens extremely rare, so nothing to worry about. Wink What else? When Lisa is singing, she has a beautiful voice, when she's angry and fumes, when she's being evil. Hope that's enough for a start. Big Grin

I love Lisa's singing voice as well. Yeardley does a fantastic job in the old 'Blues' album. Particularly on the 'God Bless the Child' rendition.

I love to see Lisa happy and confident. Also love scenes where Lis and Bart are close or when she is close to a friend.

To a degree I like sandess too, as it makes me feel like I want to give a hug to make it all better.

I wholeheartedly agree with CC about reading Full Life Wo Sagashite..... it is an absolutely fantasticly written, immersive and emotional story which made the tears flow (yes i admit it).

Even if you do not read fanfics, you MUST read it. The mixture of emotions really stirs.

And Lisa singing is great.

God Bless This Child and Moanin' Lisa Blues both played on my online webradio station more than a few times.

I completely agree: emotion, love and confidence makes Lisa human, which we can empathise with. I've yet to read the fanfic- is there a link?
