For myself I think there's nothing strange with that, it seems that Marge really has fed her children. And story writers rally has meant it, even there's no proof of that. Still, I think I understand you with this question, what if Marge has really not fed her kids. How would she couple with it? Do she feel herself guilty and had this an influence at her present relations with her relatives?

Even just hinting on breastfeeding, without showing anything, is still treated as sleaze by the censors? Wow.
This is an interesting observation actually, because I can't remember any more similar moments. (Except for the one Braku's mentioned... although it was a Halloween episode, which means we can't trust even that phrase.) If someone could name at least one moment where Marge is feeding baby Lisa or Maggie, I'd say that yes, Marge cares about her children the same way every mother does. So far this sounds suspicious. How would she cope, you mean? Well, in real life certain mothers have the problem with absense of milk, that's a known thing. In the past they were asking another mothers for the "help", nowadays they buy milk for their babies. No need to feel guilty in any case, I guess. Smile It's just a problem that can be solved.

There isn't a moment like that in the show. But Marge has said she loved her childeren plenty of times, so I don't think we need the breastfeeding thing as extra evidence.

Edit:
I have found one with Homer feeding Lisa. (not breastfeeding ofcourse)

You're 'LOLing' us, don't you? ^_^
About the screenshot you've got. That was from the eighteen season if I don't mistake. And the thing that once again Homer feeds Lisa by a bottle milk proves only that Marge's dont like to bare before camera. I believe in more intimate situation she surely would feed her children by breast, all three of them. Smile

I mean to say what if Marge really has some "clause" considering her figure or such female points? If she really does not accept breast-feeding only to keep her bust (that is really well-saved on tomorrow Big Grin ), I think it could be disputed. I know, every woman decides to herself do it or not, but still it souds a bit weird. The mother that doesn't like her girl at such degree that can allow to herself to do such...

Heh, as for sleaze - I don't wanna see parts of Marge's body I haven't seen before, and in "Large Marge" or "Natural Born Kissers" it was good that they showed nothing (and also great that in case with female characters they are even more careful; simply can't imagine Lisa or Marge in sutuations, which are so usual to Bart and Homer with they partial nakedness).

But just a hint, please! Although I can't say I believe Marge avoided this type of feeding because she cared for her body, sometimes it seems that she cares more for physical conditions of her kids than about deep emotional contacts with them, and it makes her kinda "robo-mommy", machine for raising kids (well, just a bit, but still). Yes, it's hard work, I suppose, but many mommies in Springfield look not very caring. Actually, on surface it's hard to believe that any woman in town can breast-feed her kids, if even Marge doesnt. Brandine maybe? Smile

But I remember one moment from the show, that probably can be loosely related - I suppose, everyone here remembers that wonderful pink-coloured scene in "Lisa's first word", when happy Marge sits in a chair with baby Lisa in her arms and Bart comes to visit them. There without any hints there was so warm and kind atmosphere, that I can imagine, that it was just after Marge fed her, without any proofs Smile
And Marge still makes wonderful breakfasts and lunchboxes for all members of her family now. Probably I exaggerated a little about importance of this thing, I just was curious. Yep, maybe George right, it's the thing, usual enough to hide it behind the screen, but for me it still could be great to have some related moment. If they could show births, with cords of babies, I suppose they could find a way to do it not sleazy, but in a beautiful way.

sounds like a wake-up call for your friendly neighborhood fan artists to arm their ball-point pens, and wax crayons and rectify these unjust shortcomings of the series :3

I myself always wanted to do this, but I suppose only great artist could do this in non-sleaze way Smile Yeah, if someday I'll see this plot in a fanpic, I'll be happy Smile

I suppose it would be interesting to see a picture of this done non-sleazily. Of course it would still make for an awkward moment; I don't know, for me somehow, I see simple nudity in art as different than a woman breastfeeding. The whole breastfeeding thing doesn't strike me as something beautiful or artful. But then again, that's just me.

I think my reaction to seeing a picture like this would be "Erm... okay... interesting subject!"

Look at that hand, lying there
The room is dark, she shows no fear
I'm lying still, my eyes are wide
My heart is pumping, I'm still alive

I'm still awake against my will
What will it ever take
To still this burning in me?
