Well my question is simple. Who is the toughest video game boss you have ever faced in your life and why? I want answers soon. I will ask this from everybody now. I say, that Doom's own Cyberdemon is one of toughest bosses I ever faced. When I encountered a Cyberdemon about 10 years ago, I was playing Doom with my older sister and we go to level called "Tower of Babel" (E2M8, the last level of "The Shores of Hell" episode) I was thinking first, that the entire level was empty, but when I heared a roar of this bastard, I relised something big is here. I died by his rocket blast far away. Then I know how to defeat The Cyberdemon. Get BFG and shoot the walking skyscraper to death. I will open a topic about top 10 video game bosses soon, when I have time.

Shin AkumaHah! Ugh Zan III from the first Serious Sam, for no doubt. All other bosses look pygmean comparing to him. He's also extremely hard to beat. I managed to kill him in the easiest level, but abandoned the idea on more advanced ones. It appears to be impossible. *hears "Get back to work!!" yell from Burns*

Probably Dark Ixion in Final Fantasy X. I had Tidus and Auron with Auto-Phoenix, since Ixion kills you pretty much one hit each time with counter attacks. I had a stock of 99 Phoenix Downs. Wakka was dishing out 12 x 9999 rounds with Attack Reels and Auron and Tidus were doing 10,000 + each round. I managed to win the first round with only 10 Phoenix Downs left.

Haha ... well ... admittedly, I do play games It's tough to think of a specific "boss" that has given me trouble, being that the games I play usually are not of the straightforward FPS nature. One encounter that stands out in my mind though is from a game for Nintendo GameCube. It's basically a Lord of the Rings rip off of Final Fantasy (I actually remembered this thanks to ALM's post ), called "The Third Age". There's a level in there where your little band of people (can't remember their names now) catches up to the actual Fellowship and you have to help Gandalf fight the Balrog on the Bridge of Khazad-D?m. That fight ... was ... impossible To this day I haven't finished it. The addition of Gandalf to your party was nice and all, he had some attacks that would be devastating in the normal gameplay, but nothing would drop this sucker! Eventually I just lost interest. Too bad, it was a pretty enjoyable game.

Riku (Last Time, Highest difficulty setting) [Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. I simply can't beat him. No matter how much I level up and refine my battle skills, he always manages to beat me when we're both down to a few HP. I've been trying to beat him for months, but I can't win. Either that, or The "Enigmatic Soldier" in Legendary mode in KH2:FM. I haven't been able to beat him/her/it. And frankly, I don't care if I do, since it's a hidden boss. The only boss to ever kill me in under 20 seconds when I'm at level 100.

Thats a really hard question... but I think I'll go for Malcom from the PC game Unreal Tournament 4. Every other level was completed with reletive ease, with an steady but not steep slope of increasing difficulty. Until the last level, which was like driving over an anti-tank mine. In a petrol tanker. I did manage to complete it though, one keyboard later. But I cant think of a more stressful experiance with a video game boss. Not really a boss, but worth mentioning: I've never, ever completed any Gran Turismo game. By the time I get really far on it, the next GT is out, so I buy that one. And the fact that you have to be very determined and patient to complete it all. I just love that game though.

I think it?s Bowser from Super Mario . Very nasty enemy especially in the Mario 64 because it?s so hard to toss the Koopa boss to lava. Bowser isn?t so hard in old Nintendo games, but this creature is a little bit legend nowadays.

I never really have many problems with fighting bosses on games, as its just problem solving, you have to lose to learn in many cases, however some of them are just bastards. For the life of me I cant remember what its name was, but there is a Dragon on the online final fantasy (which I dont play) and honestly it took my friend and his party of 21 people '4' freaking hours to NEARLY kill it before they all got wiped out. they did manage to kill it, in 3 hours, but it had SO many health points, they were doing a rotor service to keep everyones fingers from going numb. This is a guy who can beat the final robotnick on Sonic the Hedgehog in 9 seconds. It just seemed a bit much to me.
For me though, the only boss I ever had massive problems with was that solid prick at the end of Mortal Kombat. He took hours to figure out. It turned out to be really easy though, so that was just me being dumb.

For the life of me I cant remember what its name was, but there is a Dragon on the online final fantasy (which I dont play) In most cases the Dragon would probably be Bahamut. And the Online Final Fantasy would be XI. and honestly it took my friend and his party of 21 people '4' freaking hours to NEARLY kill it before they all got wiped out.
Party of 21? Hm.. considering that the maximum party for each character is 6 in XI, then some party members of his party must've been forming separate parties of their own. they did manage to kill it, in 3 hours, but it had SO many health points
It's the Dragon King, so of course it's gonna have alot of HP.

1 - thankyou that sounds about right
2 - its the quikest way if it is cheating sligtly, and I thought you could merge parties anyway? I dony know how it works I just laugh when he gets his ass handed to him.
3 - Dragons arent as strong as you thing methodically.

It's probably quite simple to have a party of 6 and a party member within that 6 has a separate party of 6 of their own and so on until it reaches 21. 3 - Dragons arent as strong as you thing methodically.
I've fought enough dragons in my day. They may not be as strong true. But they do have a high amount of HP, which would require a bit of time to defeat, especially if you have to keep healing. In games pre-VII, I'll always have a designated healer healing all the time. (Usually the White Mage like Rosa for example in FF4)

But there's one boss, who is resist any projectile attacks and I almost got pissed, when I tried to fight him. I call him as The Dragon King as well, but his real name is.....ONAGA! The final boss of Mortal Kombat: Deception. The only way to defeat Onaga in MKD, I have to shatter all the Kamidogu, what are shown at the final stage. These Kamidogu are source of Onaga's Immortality. Once the Kamidogu are destroyed, Onaga is weak of basic attacks and combos. The one (or tag) character is very good to use to defeat Onaga and I always use Noob-Smoke (Noob Saibot & Smoke) to kick his ass. Here's a pic of Onaga, the true Dragon King.

While we're here. During development of the Original Simpsons Fantasy (not the current one set in Gaia, the original was set in Springfield), Sideshow Bob was a boss. And even just during a test battle he was too hard. Maybe it was because I was using the development level of 1 and bypassing all the standard battles during the game. (actually, I was bypassing the game entirely).

I can't really say that I remember any boss fights as being incredibly tough. Maybe Komari Vosa, the deranged Jedi who was the final boss on Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, but I don't remember spending hours on end trying like a madman to beat her.

I had discovered the final boss of Tekken 6. Like Ogre, this boss is NOT a human at all. Name of this strange creature is AZAZEL. It has similar moves to Devil and Jinpachi (Like blasting lasers and stun an opponent). Also Azazel is the biggest and tallest Tekken fighter ever. That means it's a giant! Here's the only pic of Azazel in action. It's fighting against Zafina in this pic. But the real question is: Is Azazel playable character in Tekken 6? Only time Namco tell.
