I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies...

The last one I read was a Calvin and Hobbes comic. I don't have a picture, but here's what it said. They were sledding down a steep hill:

Calvin: Do you Believe in life after death? You know, reincarnation?

Hobbes: [Covers eyes] You just steer, okay?

I'd give this comic a 9/10! Big Grin

Last comic I read was absolutly ages ago... I think it was The Official Simpsons comic #99, and I cant remember much about it. Sooo... I can tell you about the last peice of writing I read.

Its called Aggressor by Andy McNab (Who in short, was a member of the British special forces unit called the SAS).
The book rivals Lisa Fitzgerald in my opinion. But thats because I'm a military enthusiast. I dont want to give it a grade because it wont do the book any justice. But, if you happen to have a copy lieing around, give it a thought, its well worthy of a read.

I too dont read many, if any, comics anymore. But if you want books, my favorite is the "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the complete unabridged collection."

Another C&H:

Calvin: Hey, dad, remember our car?

Calvin's Dad: Well, of course I... Wait, what do you mean, "Remember"?

8/10!

I think that the last *real* comic i've readed was "Lobo", with "Hitman" inserts. Great fun Smile After those, i've readed, but in .pdf form, a couple of italian comics (Ratman and Dylan Dog) and of course a non specified number of Simpsons ones Tongue I can't remember which ones particularily.

@Casper: I will have to pick that author up soon, very soon... i'm sure i'll love it!

Oh, i forgot the ratings:

LOBO: a full 8 and a half in the first miniseries, because it was REALLY distinctive and outrageous. Then it mellowed out too much and was just average.

HITMAN: Again, the first stories were incredibly refreshing, original and also very politically incorrect and out of canon. 9. Then it was stained and slowed out becoming a cauldron of "let's put vampires in! oh, and superheroes! oh, werevolves too! And what about zombies!!". 6, just sufficient.

RATMAN: Too bad it's only italian or i'd show you some strips. Funniest comic strip i ever read. 10.

DYLAN DOG: A timeless classic that sadly feels the bites of time (after all it's been going for like 20 years)... a 9 for the legend, an actual 7 (because it's still charismatic and has great stories).

A garfield comic strip, they are sitting by the fireplace:

Jon: You sure make a lovely fire, garfield.

Garfield: I do make a lovely fire.

Jon: Well, I have to go get ready for my date, you enjoy your lovely fire.

Garfield: I'll enjoy my lovely fire.

Jon: Hey! Where are all my bowties?

Garfield: They make a lovely fire.

 Big Grin 10/10! Hilarious!

wow man, that garfield comic was made almost seven years ago if not longer. i would have to look at it again to see. i love garfield. i have all of the books including many artist books and books interviewing the creator and other such things. Short of remembering all the strip dates, i am bigger Garfield fan than a simpsons fan.

I have pretty much every Garfield book ever published, too! Even Garfield's big book of insults, put-downs, and slams!
