lizard_queenMaybe it's the family thing. The Simpsons is more "traditional" show and easier to relate to?
Dunno.

But there is definitely something mutually exclusive between them. I manage a comparatively big forum dedicated to both Simpsons and Futurama, there are many different people there, but so far I haven't met a dedicated fan who was into both cartoons. For some reason everyone tends to choose something one. Maybe you're right, the Simpsons are for "domestic" kind of people, who value friendship, family, stability etc., and Futurama are for people who's open for adventures of any kind.
