I wanted to make this a post in the trivia Thread, but after thinking about it, i think it deserves its own thread The question was: In an episode, we're given a glimpse on what Lisa would call her sons/daughters. Do you remember the episode, the numbers and the names? As for the thread topic... if Lisa had children, what do you think she would call them? Would she give homage to people she knows, would she go for classic, american names, would she go for esotic names? What do you think? Btw, we don't discuss the father here

Wasn't that fantasy from this site's namesake episode, 'Lisa, the Simpson'? She dreams she's married to Ralph, has donned a southern accent and put on a few hundred pounds from watching trashy daytime TV. I don't remember what the kid's names were, though. Non-canon, in the episode 'Lisa's Date With Density' there is a deleted scene in which we see Nelson and Lisa's child. Lisa: A baby? Oh, we've got a baby! Nelson: Our love created it...somehow. Baby: Wah, wah...

Why does that scene where Cletus spends 2 whole minutes naming all his kids morbidly flash through my mind? I'm drawing a blank on any other scenes tonight, my head's too muddled. Perhaps someone else will have more luck...

SimpRealIIRC, every time Lisa has fantasies (and we didn't see anything but her fantasies) about her future children, it appears to be something funny and/or weird - for example, when she imagines herself fat (Sleeping With My Enemy?), or ignorant, or whatever. This is funny - looks like Lisa never thought seriously about her future maternity. Of course this is due to her age, but from such a smart person I'd expect something more serious than that... oh well

@Calc.chaos I do remember that scene too, but... Let me say i dont feel any disappointment. Maybe it was done to summon the feelings of unease in auditory? Because of such degrading of Lisa. But as for me i'm ok with it. And i don't think this is TOO terrible destiny. (hint: there would be much more unattractive fate for her in real life)
@Dagdamor Hmm.. How can you wait from her more or less wisdom look on her future? I think the own childhood is not the perfect time for such global thoughts. That follows from Lisa's child' side, not her intellectual side. How i consider her such lightness? I think it's rather good for her, no?

Shadow NaitMaybe so... but what looks funny to me is, Lisa thinks about her future, and tries to do that seriously, but her imagination always builds rather weird and comical scenes to her. It looks like subconsciously, Lisa doesn't believe that she has future at all when she grows up. And this is actually true!

The episode you referring to would most likely be Lisa the Simpson. We all know what happens in that case, but she only says one of the kids by name, Wesley, who happens to be the kid with the "Prying Bar" the rest just poke her while she's watching her stories.

I'm not sure Lisa would end up with kids of her own. She'd make a good Bergstrom-ish teacher figure, but a lot of her daydreams seem to be about accomplishing great things by herself.
But off the top of my head: Ariel, Liberty and little Murphy (who's completely tone-deaf).

I like Beb's names I'd go personally for Sarah, Valerie and(if there's a boy) ... Colin As for the question, no, the episode is not Lisa the Simpsons, but it's hard to get because the scene i am talking about has been removed from the TV airing and you can find it only in the DVD extended editions

No matter how Lisa will call her children, I'm sure she will treat them with the best care, just like Marge. Although, Lisa could be not the best mother, if her grandmoms' genes will activate in her instead of Marge's... both Mona and Jackie aren't the best mothers in the world

BebAgreed... I think she'd be very good at inspiring people. She'd make a good teacher - and maybe it's for the best that she doesn't push for a profession that could "corrupt" her... in other worlds, politics. But off the top of my head: Ariel, Liberty and little Murphy (who's completely tone-deaf). Tone-deaf... nice touch. Sorry everyone, but Beb's list struck me as the most Lisa-like by a long shot. She would name a child something very unconventional, with a touch of reverance about it. DagdamorAlthough, Lisa could be not the best mother, if her grandmoms' genes will activate in her instead of Marge's... both Mona and Jackie aren't the best mothers in the world Jackie Bouvier? *scratches head* Maybe I missed something, but how was she a bad mother?

A couple of suggestions of names. Lisa's buddhism may play a part in choosing a name. I would think if she went down this route of naming she would choose something not outlandish, but easy to say and not something that would cause her children to be made fun off. So a couple of suggestions: Girl: Charini, Tylanni Boy: Eila, Hema I personally think the girls names sound very nice, especially Tylanni

I liked the names Ariel, Murphy, and Valerie as mentioned. I cant think of others names but, would be interesting if she ended up like Bob Geldof and call them something along the lines of ' Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Simpson' (And yes, that is all one name).
