I just discovered the best thing since the invention of sliced bread (at least when it comes to Windows 7). Remember how much I complained about the missing "classic" start menu and the new Windows Explorer that got rather worse than better? Well, not anymore, because someone created "Classic Shell", a project that finally brings back all the features that worked fine in XP, but were removed by Microsoft in order to annoy their customers. Read more about all the greate features here: http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/

Some pics:

The good old fold-out start menu is back, taking up less space, and much faster navigation to programs that you don't use very often.

A much improved UI for Windows Explorer, which brings back the dotted lines of the folder tree on the left, a status bar that actually tells you the size of the files which you have selected and a small icon bar with buttons that were missing in Win7's Explorer, such as "One folder up" and copy & paste icons.

the best motive of purchase a mac is to run bootcamp and install windows on this machine... I am wrong? just look the video and the declaration of the user (and the laughs of ballmer)....  Wink

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwzklHZqkbE

dialogue:

user: Mr. Ballmer,

ballmer: yes?

user: would you sign my Mac?  Gigi It's got windows on it, I promise.

***** insteristing video, since the news of bing as default search engine in the Iphone, the support of windows 7 in the new version of bootcamp , or the version of "office" to the apples...

really the eartshake of the Ipad is not by the product... is by the declaration of his CEO, .... the ego does not exist in the technology, the standard are good to all... and flash is a standard... and Android is the best a good OS to smarthphones (but we need look at the version nš 7 of win mobile), is impossible close the eyes with the time... the ipod and the iphone are just products in a timeline, like the walkman of Sony.... now sleeping in peace...  the words of the CEO of apple are a bit hards and a bit disturbing... this is not a battle...  and poor adobe Big Grin i am thinking that both have a bad relationship ... and to google the theme is not important they are young...

sometimes the sketcher need draw a idea quickly, (the moment of inspiration is really short) of course big tools like photoshop, Procreate Painter, etc are very slow by his big characteristics, the solution are always the small programs, this is is one of my favs by the high performance and low weight, SmoothDraw...  the GUI is really simple perfect to hyper quick scribbles  Big Grin

sometimes the people talk much about a theme... this is the example of this programmer of MS about the next windows os... this entry of a blog of MSDN talk about it , sadly the entry is delete quickly... but thanks at god exist the Google cache  Smile ... is not a lot of info, but if "oficcial info" of the hands of the programmers, and is interisting read this article... let me share the link...

http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cache:BQ1-4H56ZKcJ:blogs.msdn.com/sharad/archive/2010/01/31/whats-in-store-for-the-next-windows.aspx+

and remember windows 7 is NOT a major release and by this motive is very similar at Vista 6.0 vs 6.1 in the kernel is not a big diferrence , but the next windows (called not officialy windows 8, code name windows.next) is a major release with a new core... by the moment me continues with xp, win 7 is nice but i love the performance n___n

news since the creators of OpenCanvas.... sadly the support to english products of Portalgraphics  finish soon, and now we need check the japanese web-site ... in the last year the company presents SketchBox  as a alternative to the japanese sketchers and artists... let me share the link to the trial version...

http://www.portalgraphics.net/sb/

if your skills with the japanese are bad this is the quick link to download the trial version  http://www.portalgraphics.net/download/dl_log.php?dl=79361834568d4b83c3f75e6de3ba5ec8

really does not exist big features versus other programs like Paint Tool Sai or Open Canvas... but the secret of Sketchbox is the simply and functional Interface and this is useful

bye bye and enjoy  (and sorry by my bad english)
