I just discovered the best thing since the invention of sliced bread (at least when it comes to Windows 7). Remember how much I complained about the missing "classic" start menu and the new Windows Explorer that got rather worse than better? Well, not anymore, because someone created "Classic Shell", a project that finally brings back all the features that worked fine in XP, but were removed by Microsoft in order to annoy their customers. Read more about all the greate features here:

The good old fold-out start menu is back, taking up less space, and much faster navigation to programs that you don't use very often.

A much improved UI for Windows Explorer, which brings back the dotted lines of the folder tree on the left, a status bar that actually tells you the size of the files which you have selected and a small icon bar with buttons that were missing in Win7's Explorer, such as "One folder up" and copy & paste icons.
