Frog's stuff ;)

Here is some 'tries' I made with Adobe Flash.
I learn how to draw Lisa with the book 'Cartooning with the Simpsons' (a very good book for a begginer like me Gigi

) but I can't draw any other character of the show than Lisa for the moment Sad

. I have to learn how to draw backgrounds too...

So, the first picture is a high resolution of my avatar (colored and sketch versions on the same picture) and the two others are a simple drawing of Lisa Lisa

(sketch and colored versions).

Good job!
About the second picture... it's great too, I'm glad to see a finished version, not only a sketch. Flash seems to be useful tool for you, smooth lines. I'd only nitpick that Lisa looks very well-fed. Tongue

I can't draw any other character of the show than Lisa for the moment

Same story here, although my "moment" lasts for several years... Big Grin

I agree with Serge about that she looks just a tad bit pudgy, but overall nicely done. As I've said before I think you did a good job on your avatar. Maybe her spikes are just a bit off, but it doesn't bother me at all.

Good tries, Loic! The main problem to the last pic is her right arm (never do angles, especially not in that way)... Lisa's arm should look just like two curves with yellow in between them Smile

Also, the body seems to be "stretched" horizontally, but i think a major fix would just be making the legs a bit thinner and closer to each other.
Overall, clean crisp and cute ! Smile

Here are two others pictures I made some weeks ago:

The first one (lisa_famas.png) was made for the board of an online game I play: that's why the picture has a 'strange' size. Lisa is carrying a F.A.M.A.S. assault rifle (a French weapon) because my nickname on this game is Famas.

The second picture (simpsons_cell.png) is my first try to draw a background with Flash (and it's not very good for the moment Tongue

). I know that there are Metal Gear Solid’s fans on LTS, so for this picture, my inspiration came from his main competitor: Splinter Cell Wink

I hope you'll like them... Gigi

Seriously, the first one is a bit small yet i appreciate the idea, it could be great as a button. The second one is much more interesting, good crossover and very well done detail on Lisa's clothes-armor. As for Flash... it makes for good lines but lacks a bit in refining touches Big Grin

I'd suggest loading up the pic in PS or a similar program, and just brush some low opacity black color to create some very simple but effective shadows Smile

In fact, I try to make pictures in Flash only because it can make vector graphics (and it's very interesting in order to make printable pictures) and Photoshop can't Sad

(maybe I need to use Illustrator).
But I agree with you: for the moment, there isn't enough details, especially about shadows (I haven't find the way to choose layer opacity in Flash Confused

).

Whoa! Thanks for drawing this, it's a wonderful picture... and I don't remember this particular scene to be drawn before. Maybe because it wasn't in the story, but it's great anyway Smile

I love it, you managed to keep the "correct" drawing style, both Lisa and Homer look like in the show (it was always an advantage for me), and at the same time you showed unusial situation. I also love how Lisa's wings are ruffled and raised up, like they are expressed her feelings instead of her hands. Homer looks confident anyway Big Grin

Nice job with lines and shading. Again, pictures drawn in this style are always my favorites!

Yes, this scene isn't really in your story. But it's inspired from this scene:

The door had opened. Brockman stepped onto the threshold... and froze when a shotgun barrel was leveled against his face. Homer was staring at him with a very aggressive expression. Brockman stared down the barrel and raised his hands.

I really like this scene because Homer acts like a very good father: he protects his daughter without thinking about the consequences. Homer

And I add Lisa in the picture (even if she was actually in the house) because I wanted to draw a winged Lisa. Lisa

Thanks for posting the sketch! I see you have used construction method - my respect, lately I don't see much artists using it, hell knows why. People prefer drawing "on the fly", resulting with quick sketches having noticeable proportion mistakes... on your draft, both Lisa and Homer look correct.

If suggestions are welcome - when you draw legs, try positioning them on the picture just the same way you do with arms: i.e. if a character is turned to one side, like here, one hand is nearer to the viewer and therefore starts/ends lower than another one. The same with feet, for example Lisa's right foot should be positioned a bit lower, just like her right arm. That would give some additional volume to your picture. Smile
