I'd ask you to post your pictures as attachments next time, DeviantArt works slowly sometimes...
I don't like bashing fanart, but Gary has a point. This is either your first pictures, or you didn't even try to make them look nice. In any case, you need some practice if you want people to like your art... my first sketches weren't any better, although I will never show them to anyone Big Grin Learn the construction method. Read the "Cartooning with the Simpsons" book. Try some grabpiccing first... good luck! Smile

To be honest I never saw the point of those Simpsons drawing books myself. I just traced over the comics when I first started. Eventually I learned how to draw freestyle.

Really? You mean the book is not toilet paper? o_O

Anyway... Those drawings... umm... kinda suck... no wait... they don't "kinda suck"... they are the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked... *sigh* Moving on...

I think that you should look at your drawings first before you start posting them Confused

And honestly, Serge didn't deserve that kind of answer coming from you VG... You're only ruining even more your reputation, which was none...

Come on! Do it! My sketches weren't very good either and I still posted them Tongue

ok... where do i start.... i dont think i can.... I cannot see any effort there at all, just like someone has spent about 2 seconds with a mouse and MS paint.

If you are serious about art then you need to take  the advice from those who give it. Dag gave spot on advice you need to follow to improve your skills, no need to shoot him down like that. He has shown that out of the discussion he will treat you like anyone else and offer his advice and help.

What you need to understand about these forums is that personal differences should be left out of these parts of the forums. In here we put any diffences aside to celebrate the skills, achievments and advice this section brings, same with the ither on-topic sections. We all know you and dag disagree big time about non relates subjects but this thread has nothing to do with that. Thats all that should be said on that matter.

Giving that attutude on here is more likely to make people laugh at you and not bother with even looking at your stuff and wont bother giving you ANY help.

With that said, if you do take this seriously, PLEASE take the advice of ANYONE who gives it and read some of the great tutorial stuff on here. Also if you have a camera, take some pictures of your sketches, that will suffice. Drawing on the computer can be vastly different from the tracing and freehand you do with a pencil, so in most cases you have to learn again. Now please just forget any past differences while in thiese sections and just enjoy where the path takes you!

Man, everyone is so negative since yesterday... I understand tempers can run high, but come on... I've come to expect better from LTS.

Yesterday (and a bit of today's) little discussion shouldn't spill over into the rest of the forum... I'm with everyone else here in the sense that personal issues really need to be forgotten quickly on a forum like this. It's like bad weather - it's here for a few days, and then it goes (well, at least in my little corner of the world Tongue). I've had plenty of rows with people on here but I can't say I hold any grudges at all. And after staying here for awhile (if you choose to), you'll find that Serge is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Okay... your drawings... I've gotta say, they do reflect little to no effort. I won't, however, be as cruel as some and just say "WOW YOU SUCK" (by the way Gary & Tiago, there really was a nicer way to put that instead of just saying "You suckity suck suck suck!" Think... what would Lisa do?). You just need to sit down for some quiet time with a pencil and a piece of paper, let your mind go, and your pencil will follow. Put some music on maybe. Get in the mood to draw something. And draw. In time, you'll get better. But if you just keep churning out 5 minute pencil sketches on Paint, you'll never go anywhere.

Hope this helps.

Look at that hand, lying there
The room is dark, she shows no fear
I'm lying still, my eyes are wide
My heart is pumping, I'm still alive

I'm still awake against my will
What will it ever take
To still this burning in me?

If Dag apologises I'll ease up on him. I just wont talk to him. I'll talk to everyone else here as long as they dont give me not shit. You shouldnt take no shit from nobody, that includes the internets.

I dont doubt that. Hell, he could be the Russian Mother friggin Treasa, doesnt change the fact that he acted out of turn the other day.

I still think you're asking for too much. Usually the ultimate end of arguments on a forum like this is the "agree to disagree" thing. We all have our different points of view, no matter who's wrong or right in the end. And the fact that Serge offered you advice in this thread is testament to what I'm saying - arguments like this usually don't lead to public grudges between members.

He could easily say the same about us, but instead he chose to offer you constructive criticism. He could've locked your thread out of spite, but of course he didn't. I'm just asking you to accept that Serge has a different point of view, and move on. Never mind who you believe to be right or wrong, or out of turn.

Well, when I wanted to post my Death Knight drawing I just gave it to a friend who has a scanner and let him scan it for me, then email me the document... I don't know if you have any stores over there with public scanners though? We have Kinko's over here, they provide copy and fax machines, as well as scanners and other computer-art related stuff for public use. If my friend didn't have a scanner I most likely would've taken it there.
