The picture in question came from the episode Lisa the Greek, Season 3. Though i didn't like how Homer treated Lisa at the start of the episode!

Forgot i had a webcam in my laptop, so i took a snapshot of my 1st drawing and now you can view it below, as i said it isn't perfect, but at least it's a start!  Smile

Hhmmm me like this sketch,  is simple and very cute,.... although the drawing and the technique is not perfect, your drawing is a reflection of the innocence of Lisa, her smile it shows ... That is the most important , you just need practice, a good start Smile

Thanks by post your art,  this is very important to our dear forum Smile

Thanks for the support Gustavo, i'm currently drawing again and again trying to perfect my drawings, though i do have trouble with some parts of my drawings, such as hair, hands and eyes, apart from those niggles i can do the rest such as the dress, but i will keep on drawing until i get it right. Back to my drawing and grabpics!!

It's your first picture? Congratulation, it's pretty good for a first try. Lisa
Did you read the book Cartooning with the Simpsons? I'm a beginner too and this book helps me a lot.

Where have I seen that Maggie hair-pose before...

Oh right.. I drew it. Me no like when people steal the things that I do. Now that I look at it, all (or at least most) of them seem to be drawings from either me or Leif. While I dont have a problem in itself, being told would've been nice.

Oh well, nevermind. Though I would like to display any Maggie's on TCB.

It is not always possible to avoid making something that looks like something, someone has done before. I have sometimes fallen into that trap myself. (I just can’t remember all the grabs Gary has made. Embarrassed)
But if possible I avoid it unless I can make it in a very deferent way. No point in doing something someone has already done.  Tongue

I don’t mind you finding inspiration in my work, but as Gary said a simple reference that you did, would be nice.

Stealing, not stealing... how you can say that about non-original pictures, about the modified scans from the show Smile
Even modifying an original picture, officially speaking, cannot be called a steal. Just because characters involved in that drawing, are owned by different people, not picture author.

So, you decided to switch to Maggie now? Wink I cannot say I liked that particular picture, that scene (with extra-proud Lis) was used and reused so many times. Try to use less often used scenes for your alterations please! Smile

I will try to use less often scenes wherever possible, it's just that i like that picture that i modified. And also i agree with everything that Dagdamor says above, it is their pics that they worked on, but they don't own the modified versions that i made, though i will still ask before posting in respect of their work that i modify.

And i'm not to fussed if anyone wants to edit any of my pics, but as before please ask me before posting, because at the end of the day we are all sharing pictures in this forum.

And last thing, from now on my pictures will be in png format and i am now using Flash CS4 instead of PSP 7!

Both of them are nice, but for some reason I liked the first one more.
Lisa looks more... close to reality on it. Smile Perhaps Bart did something again...
Also, the thickness of the lines is better on the first one IMHO.

The line thickness setting in the first picture is 5.00 which is what i use for my pics, as for the second one, i used 6.00 as i felt the line was to thin when i started to grabpic, perhaps i should have set the linetool a little higher to make the lines thicker, but yes i think Bart messed up my grabpic while i wasn't looking, BART!!!

Both are very professionally done and cute as a button. I prefer the first one with the thicker lines too Smile
