Like that picture,as D.B> said... i love the hair too, it has an "angular" crudeness to the spikes which actually suits the picture. Again the fault is that pencil line which looks out of place and where the rock dissapears into the water... just looks wrong. Otherwise great picture!

Thanks a lot guys!  You know, I've never imagined to have more comments on a pic that I almost didn't pay attention to, more so than to other one more elaborated.  But maybe when something is more original it creates that more artistic view, sometimes.   Gigi  I never cared for the result and just went crazy with the tablet.  Lets just say that it was a glorious experiment and the result is yelling at me to have more of these crazy experiments.
This is the pic without those unwanted lines:

great work opus........ makes the picture so much better Smile  Big Grin Though the silhoette underwater should be more distorted by the waves, the silhoette on the original seemed more beleivable.... still does not stop me loving the pic though!

Omar,

this is a very sweet picture indeed. It's probably not that elaborated, but being so spontaneous surely helps to love it anyway. I've seen many artists who did some scribbles or very quick colorings in just a few minutes and found them subpar, but because they came out in a constant creative flow, rather than putting a lot of work in them, they are "artistic" in their own way.

This picture deserves more opinions... I apologize for my slowness Smile
OPUS, I've shown your last drawing to many people, some loved it, some admitted that it makes them feel uneasy, because Lisa (or Maggie) looks very young, despite her attributes of a grownup person. Not sure who is right, to me she looks like a perfect mermaid teenager Smile Maybe because of her head (it's a bit big compared to her body) and her bulgy eyes. But still, it's a great picture, I liked it a lot. Keep drawing!

Thanks Serge for your comments.  Now, about those attributes.   I never imagine that some one would feel uneasy about this kind of picture,  the warning in the previous post was just a joke, and I do think that there is nothing to hide or to show.   The little mermeid was just a teenager when the first movie and it was ok.  I guess it all depends on who is looking at the picture and as you give to understand people think different.  Nothing wrong with that.   About her head being too big? Well, keep in mind that most of that is nothing but hair and sorry the pic was done in a rushed so Yeah It might be a teensy bigger that the way is suppose to be.    Again thanks for your sincerety.   Smile

Nice work, OPUS.
It's very smooth for what you claim was a rush job. Wink
The head is fine, by the way.
Man, I wish I had your talent for lines that don't spell things... it's a true work of art.
Seriously.

I like the drawing a lot, and the hair styl is something very special that defines you and your art. Things that are not drawing skill related: Your choice of Lisas color is very wirred and wrong in my eyes. Bit slighly brighter yellow would have done the job - but as I said, not a matter of skill, a matter of a bad decision you took. Big Grin Wink

Well, the water is not really well done, you can do that better, I know it. Try to mirror the image on a second layer behind the main layer and use that "finger"-icon-tool (dunno the english name) to sponge wild around... than fade the colors a bit - you will get a excelent water result.
I think Beb did it well on her "Ganges"-picture.

I must say, I like the choice of colour in this pic.   The darker yellow, along with the shading and highlights and the colour of the sky give it an early evening feel.   I imagine Lisa looking out to sea at a  great big tropical sunset, which whether by accident or design, is rather cool!

Opus
Nice one, it has very warm and easy colours and nice atmosphere in all. As if it was done at the dawn. I wonder - is it Lisa or Mag? As I know you drawing Maggie in the first place than her sister. And the her hairdo is more in "adult Maggie"-style. Lisa looks differently...No?
