There is so much emotion in your pics, Gustavo... I would like to be able to express that in words, but you already do it with images. In this thread, with your pictures, I reached the happiest of joys and the deepest of grieves... Ah, man, stop tugging at my heartstrings so hard Smile

I don't want to comment the pictures technically, although I can see improvements with each one. Also, I wanted to suggest you to trace them, or offering to make it myself... but I think that the "sketchy" nature of the pics, with the pencil dust and dirt being actually a part of them, adds to the rough feelings of 'em. So in the end, stay as you are and never change Big Grin

Hello, Gustavo.
Destiny
That's very impressive!
I'm charmed by it's atmosphere of pain and poetic sensuality. That's right, I like the way you draw Lisa, in spite of the fact that she feels far not well here. I'm sure it's like a birth of a new creature, a birth of an Angel. I'm look at her blossoming out wings, she's like a newborn butterfly just finding its wings. The blood flowing down, her face, the unknown land around her - all of this as a confirmation of her silent suffering. The cordages binding her to the ground do not give her to rocket high into the sky to decrease all that pain she got. Or maybe protecting her from suicide, when she dash downward to the earth.
I would to say you are the Master of symbolism. Could I ask you what you were inspired by drawing this picture? There's some romantic words presents on pic, so I just thought you gave it from somewhere. Or it was your rich imagination?

Enlightenment
That picture is very good and pleasant to the eye. The colours are selected remarkably :-) Half growing up Lisa looks charmingly. Flowers, ribbons - all done in order to underline her unearthy beauty.

Natural Love
Well, the picture reminds me another your picture, which I've seen on SR, called "Light of my spirit" if I do not wrong. As well as that picture, the one represented here also is very handsome. Fabulous and fairy-tale.

She is my friend
I think, you represented here Lisa in a library at which, possibly, you used to go (okay, don't laugh at me. To walk at a library is not very shamefully, especially, if you are the Lisa-fan). The pic is interesting enough, but I can't say anything certain about it. Lisa is pretty good. Why does she cry? (does she cries at all?) Maybe because the real friendship implies the same mutual exchange of feelings?

By the way, you're one of my favourite artists drawin' Lisa on their own. I've seen many of yours pictures and that's impressed me.
So, please, continue to fluster my imagination by your wonderful pictures!

Common remark (don't be angered)
Man you know, your pictures very nice, and your style is very positive. But there's one thing that I can't accept in your tracery :-). This is hints on femininity of Lisa. (I mean the "open legs/short skirt"-style of imagine) She is little girl for me in spite of fact that I personally also drew her in adult condition. Possibly, my life perception is here in guilty (maybe, because I uphold the slightly "puritan" views on life, heh ;-) ), but who said we all must have identical tastes? So continue your work in that key when I'll always look after you. :-)

Don't change it! That's what I always admired at your pics - although Lisa is portrayed as a somewhat fragile being (in a good way), she always has a definite personality, and to that personality also belongs the feminity aspect. As I explained in my introductory posting, the message "You are Lisa Simpson." has a special meaning for me, and it somewhat defines my life as well.

You cannot deny yourself, and regardless how hard you try, you're always yourself - so why not live your life and learn from the struggles you have experienced? It defines you as a person, and as an individual. From all Simpsons characters, Lisa has the strongest individuality, and that's what I love about her. Living your life also means living your dreams - like you were expressing in the thread title as well. Smile

Gustavo
About your latest drawing... I'm not sure I understand it right, but Lisa looks like you did something wrong to her Wink and knowing you, I'd say that's impossible. But Lisa looks very nice in such outfit, I especially like her hat - for some reason, it reminds me of an Italian artist. (No, not necessary Marco. Tongue) Nice picture (if only a bit sad), looking at it, it's hard to believe that you're running out of ideas!

Serge, you don't understand? It means that many emotions of our universe cannot be expressed through mere words. Instead, it is through art that things are best expressed.

I thought before about “black” and month felt always very sad… nevertheless lacked light…. my color is the blue one…. hidden dark… in which my feelings and. clear and it cheers in the days of sun Smile ..... which is your color?

Impossible Love…. a drawing of Lisa in which it is not Lisa…. it inspires to me by a picture of the house of my grandmother…  Wink

Love. the result of nights of cold… and a sadness that is killing to me…. Sad

Your third picture: She has waited, so very long, day after day, year after year, waiting for her love to return. She hasn't given up, but is still forever waiting. Amazing picture, Gustavo.

What is the color of MY soul, you ask? Red-black. Anger and fear all together in one.

I'm gonna be short, and sweet about each pic here. Tongue

Eligtenment:
The use of light and shade is kick butt! Seriously. It seriously captures the mood, its also a great pose.

natural_love:
Is it me, or is Lisa a little well, "flirty" n that pic? Maybe a few too many spikes coming off the dress though, but that's IMO.

she_is_my_friend:
Another great pose. To me, what I look at most in a picture is the pose.

love
WOAH! That is one hell of a picture. The emotion is so in your damn face and effective, it works well even if you were never to colour it. Though a minor detail, is that we can see under table where we shouldnt. (I'm not exactly good at describing but you should know where I mean Wink)

I should have commented your last set of pictures long ago!
Sorry if my reply might sound offensive. I'm not in my best mood right now. Stupid work...

The colour of you Soul - it's nice, very nice pic, but I must say that Lisa look way too offmodel on this drawing... it's mostly because of her mouth and overbite, but I hope other people around liked it as it is. Smile I'm not against big overbites on your pics, it's your style, but here it just doesn't look right imho. Lisa's expression is also a bit odd. On the other hand, the colors are great, and the picture looks nice overall.

love impossible - aw! The only thing in the whole drawing I didn't like is the title. Wink Everything else is great. Heh, "a drawing of Lisa in which it is not Lisa"? Interesting idea... though someone else might want to add her sax to the picture, or a couple of books, or at least a pencil. Lisa is a creative person, right? Very creative, and this picture shows her only as something fragile, cute and adorable (which is true anyway). The drawing is nice nevertheless... I like it very much. Even if technically there is no Lisa there.

love - again, Lisa looks a bit offmodel on this picture, but aside from that, it's good.
Keep it up Smile

Gustavo, i have not enough words to describe how much the feelings that pour out of your pictures makes me feel empathic for you... I never saw such "window on your soul" like pictures. I am torn between praise for you and your creativity, or sorrow for your situation.

Trust me, i understand it very well... i wish i could hug you know and tell you it'll all be ok Smile I want to talk, of all these pics, of "love impossible". It struck me dumb in its originality and effectiveness. Exactly as Dagdamor said... a picture of Lisa without Lisa, and it works so well! I can't praise you enough for this, it makes me feel things that i didn't feel since a long time.

Thank you very much Gustavo, i wish i could do anything to make your torment go away, but i also know that the worst of Torments can also be the greatest of Love. How silly we are, huh?  Tongue

a picture of Lisa without Lisa
What is left of Lisa is what the picture is. A simple memorial to the kind little girl. It is peaceful, and saddening all at the same time.

Gustavo, these rock dude Wink

Colour of your soul is a brilliant name! And the picture match's the quality of name Big Grin
Its very well drawn, and coloured. Not much to say about it other than its like looking into tranquility Smile Cherry Lisa is always a joy to see  Lisa
My soul would prolly be dark metalic green with red strips. Yeah.

Whew... Love_Impossible is damn well drawn. I'm not very good at working out meanings to art, prolly because of autism. But I can comment on it technicaly.
Flower Smile Hehehe!! Tongue
The butterflies are nice, they look purty.

I do have an idea for this one... seems like she's worked so hard she's drifted off into sleep, and her evironment fades into flowers and nice things!
... seems, in her dreams... the table also turns to glass Wink
A few proportion issues but nothing too heavy. I'd leave it and slap a 'Finished' sticker on it. Well, nothing that would cover up the beauty of the picture Smile

Awsome-id-ness! Good luck with future drawings Smile
