And maybe most of you already noticed it and i'm just being forgetful... but here's a freeze frame of a scene i watched randomly while testing out a codec. The episode is "Old Yeller Belly" from Season 14 i think.

Notice how in the list of "best family members" that Homer has, Lisa is above Bart. Big Grin I think that it's sweet, although reasonable after all (Homer would prefer the less troublemaker Wink ).

Of course Lisa would be higher. She's the only worthwhile thing attached to Homer's name according to him.

Though, for Maggie, I would also expect her to be above Bart, but I can see why she wouldn't be being only a baby and as he calls her the "poop machine" Tongue

I think Maggie is lower, because Homer frequently forgets who Maggie is, as you may have noticed every now and then in episodes. Homer probably made most of the list, then was too lazy to go find an eraser and fix it. Tongue

The dog comes in 2nd place I see. Good to see Homer has his priorities right!  Big Grin

Mad

* Dagdamor would be happy to steal Marge (also Lisa) and let Homer sleep with the mentioned dog, or pig he had in the Movie, or whatever else, if he loves them so much.

To put himself in the beginning, to put "dog" before "Marge", to put "Maggie" almost in the end of the list, to add his Vegas wife to the list, argle! Not funny at all to me, hope Marge has put some laxatives into his dinner afterwards. :/ *fumes*

Since you take it so hard, i'll explain...
the dog is in second place because of a joke about the episode's plot, in fact as you can clearly see, the dog was (before the plot taken place) last in the list.

Oh brother... please, not this discussion again. All of us know that some people here take the Simpsons more seriously than others, and there's absolutely no point in both sides arguing with each other.

Serge, the dog thing was simply done as a joke pertaining to the episode I'm sure (as Marco pointed out), and besides, it's Homer.

Gary and Marco, you and I both know how Serge feels about Lisa, and the Simpsons in general as a family. If you really think this is a problem, then you have PMs and chat to berate him in, but not this thread.

It's completely unnecessary and pointless... this has been covered already in other threads, never with pretty results. So before anyone else replies, please keep in mind the tone of your words.

Ok, keeping in mind my tone and my specific choice of words, i will put in my totally un-biased, completely rational masochistic statement.

Thanks people, George especially... I don't think Marco said anything offensive though Smile
Gary, okay, my reaction was aggressive, but since when you're Homer's executor? I could expect a sentence like that from anyone but a person who spent so much time on a forum like LTS. Yes, I treat Simpsons as something real sometimes. No, it's not just a "freaking cartoon", it's definitely better than some WB shit. Wink And let's close it here. If you want to comment more about my craziness/stupidity, do that via PM please. Wink

Its cute that, even in Homers very primitive mind, he recognised that Lisa is probably less of a headache than Bart, even with the Saxophone in the equation. But in any case, putting your family into heirachy can be seen as cruel. But this is Homer, I'm pretty sure he loves his family equaly depending on the circumstance, like most of us. Smile
(Though, having 'Vegas Wife' on the list, beggers belief Rolls Eyes)

And, my opinion is, its a cartoon that has been going for so long, characters become predictable with emotions and actions, which mentaly makes them more human. I prefer it that way. Tongue
