Or at least that's what Wikipedia says, it's international:-)

Anyway, It's quite the hell of a holiday here in Russia, so I'd just like to share the fun:-) Congratulations, our dear ladies, all to best wishes to youse! I think this holiday must be something special for us all, because you know, Lisa is a woman, too:-)

According, to Wikipedia, there is - but International Men's Day was introduced only recently, in 1999. International Children's Day is on June 1st, which is my birthday (yay!). Smile

Anyway, I HAVE to let this out! Sorry that its rather complicated...
May not make sense to everyone though but nw..

I'M GOING TO UNI THIS YEAR!!  Big Grin

Basically cos I have no choice, but wow, I've had such a confidence boost today!
Usually before going in to an art degree, most people have to/choose to go through a foundation course in art and design for a year, before their degree....
As for me, I applied to BOTH, kept my options OPEN Tongue
and today I had my interview for a foundation course at my local college, after my uni interviews (4/5 uni's offered me a place)
I was turned down..cos I was "too good" Gigi...which has really made me happy!!
They felt I just didn't need it, already had my focus, and sense of direction, they weren't harsh or mean, just very friendly and advised what it was best for me to do and, it just made me so happy to feel that I was beyond the foundation level Big Grin
Would be sad to leave my friends behind but then again, it gives me more freedom and I'll be able to just "spread my wings" and go on towards a career in art Smile...

Sorry if this doesn't make much sense but wheee! Big Grin

My decision has kinda been made for me! I dont have to threat about "what ifs" cos I wasn't offered a place anyway Smile
Uni, here I come!

Yay, Congrats Casper. Doesnt sound bad at all, and the rythm is right. It'd be great if you learned to do it completely... solo aside, it doesn't seem very hard. If i had an electric guitar i'd try it Big Grin
