en.simpoll.simps.ruJust opened.  A little Simpsons-related project (developed by small team, I'm the programmer there), the main purpose is to make a Simpsons episode rating. It supports three languages so far, and you have to register before participating in the poll. Again, it's beta so far, so it's probably full of bugs.  Any questions, suggestions, opinions, translation fixes etc. are very much appreciated.

It looks great so far, but when I got to the part where I had to complete my vote, I couldn't move the episodes up or down with the arrows. So that'll have to be fixed, or else you won't get a representative list of episodes. Chosing 10 episodes from a list of over 400 is hard, by the way.  So many good episodes... |

SuusjeOh, thanks for that report! Fixed, should work okay now. And yeah, I agree. Too many episodes... if you have ideas about how to make that process easier (like grouping episodes, or filtering them out), feel free to share.

Grouping into categorys sounds like a good idea. I know for a fact when i see so many options i would take the lasy route and not bother, mebbe you could also do favourites for each category and ask people to choose favourites from each category.
Also will you be allowing users to change thier vote, as someone like me ho has not seen a majority of the eposides may then find his favourites changing over time.

EmpethreeSo far, the only valuable way I see is filtering, i.e. you write several keywords and the system shows only part of the episodes, the ones that have those keywords in title/description. Grouping is too vague idea for me now to implement. Changing votes is allowed, but only once per month. I.e. if you voted in January, you can change your vote (re-vote) in February. ALMHey, it's my design  but if you can make a better one - I would be glad, I'll credit you of course. MaggiecuteThanks!

DagdamorYou lied to say "it will takes only 5 minutes to vote" ! First I must to choose my most favourite ones - it was turned to be about 25-30 series. Then I build the second list - "best of the best ten" And that's not all. Then I must to find all those episodes (ctrl+f is very useful) and then to arrange all the series. And you need to do this not so easy procedure, if you are conscious fan of Simpsons Anyway I like the idea and it seem to be a good "present" from you to oneself since it works.

YggdrasillWell, a little advertisement trick of course if one says "it will take at least two hours to vote", nobody will do that. But we try to make the voting process as quick and easy as possible. Thanks for your reply!
