I dont think Lisa will ever be able to find the perfect person, one perfect person is more than enough for this planet, and sadly, she was born with said gift. *sighs*

Beautiful sentence, and very symbolic too. Smile

Makes you think... Unperfection is human... Lisa is not from this world... you know...

I think Lisa can find her love in future. Not today of course, while she's in school. Somewhere away from Springfiled like it was in Weddin'-episode. But only with a difference now it will be real love. But in her school there's no worthy couple for her, or at least as she thinks by herself. Still I can't say I want to see her as marry in the sequel. It's rather interesting to see her as a smart girl than a smart wife of someone. Wink So I'm definitely for the continuation of her character without too much relations with men (or boys).

I’m not sure what Colin was for in the movie, other than to get Lisa acting dizzy and adorable. He needs a lot more development if he's going to stick around in the show. He’s wonderful, sure, but perhaps after a while all that perfection would start to grate on Lisa. (Remember Allison?) She’s competitive.

That isn’t to say that she needs someone who’s her inferior -- but I do think that Milhouse, already an interesting character, could grow into someone Lisa would feel equal to. Not necessarily mentally, just someone she could respect as a partner. He does have occasional moments of wisdom that are usually overshadowed by plain geekiness; a little like Lisa only without the development that comes from being a main character.

Of course, this is all hypothetical and I don’t see anything concrete happening in the show itself – either they’re still just kids, or it’s an ever-more-crazy flashforward. But my vote goes to Milhouse. He’s already a good character with potential, and he’s one of the easiest to sympathise with (any other female Milhouses out there?  Big Grin). If the show was about Milhouse we’d be supposed to hope he gets together with the girl of his dreams.

They are still kids, true, but has anyone noticed that as the show progresses the Simpsons kids deal with more adult situations? For example there is the episode where Lisa thinks that she is fat and goes on an unneccesary diet (then swims in a cake, which I find so funny and adorable). And she and Bart are more often dealing with lust and such.

Ah the infamous cake scene... it's caused quite a bit of discussion and argument between LTS members.

I guess you're right about them dealing with more adult situations, I can't say for sure since I don't watch any of the newer episodes, but it would make sense. They give the kids a lot more maturity than typical children their age (even Bart).

Somehow I knew you would leave me this way
Somehow I knew you could never, never stay
And in the early morning light
After a silent peaceful night
You took my heart away
And I grieve...

Exactly... I like that they are maturing bart, and I love the heart warming scenes that are becoming so frequent between Bart and Lisa.

I do love the scenes which show love between Bart & Lisa....... I think they both deserve it.. they need to be close, even though they are different.

So may scenes I am fond of... I would love to draw a scene with Her and Bart but I am useless at Bart. I don't think they should go too far with them maturing, as that would spoil the innocence of childhood they have.
