I don't make a habit out of reading comics, and never have. I usually just stick to books, comics have never really appealed to me as far as something that I can sit down with for awhile. However I did dip into my friend's Simpsons comics whilst at his house last year... I don't quite remember what the comic was called, but I found the story mildly interesting and was let down when I couldn't find the discarded comic the next day.

All I remember was that Dr. Hibbert discovered the "Flanders birthmark" on Bart, and it was suggested that perhaps Bart and Rod were exchanged at birth. This resulted in Rod living in the Simpson household, and Bart at the Flanders house.

During the course of Rod's stay with the Simpsons, he and Lisa found out that they had a lot in common, and got along much better as brother and sister than she and Bart ever had... so when it was revealed that the "Flanders birthmark" found on Bart was nothing more than chewing gum, Lisa was quite let down.

That's all that I can remember, although I know there was more. Hence my disappointment about not being able to find it the next day Ah, well.

Yay, I like Simpsons-Comics a lot, I have all from 40 - today! And I got paper bags for the older comics. So I do know every single comic. I love the story with Lisa getting a poet and fighting in an poet contest against Martin. Really heartful, even for a simple comic. Liked it very much. ^_^

YAY! I'm glad people like this topic and I am glad that I am not the only one that reads Simpsons comics! I like the one where lisa and martin have poetry competitions against each other too. It is very funny and I like the way it ends. i read that one in the Simpsons comics Ago-Go, which is a digest sized paper back. Keep writing about your favourite comics, and ask questions if you need to. I'm sure that someone out there will be able to answer them!!!

I was collecting both English and Russian versions some time ago. It was interesting, I must admit... there is a difference between the Simpsons episodes and comics, even official ones. Characters are usually put in much more weird and unusual situations, there are moments we'd hardly see in the show. Several issues were just brilliant to me, for example, that Halloween issue (don't remember the #), where Simpsons family was assisting Frodo Baggins in his Ring adventure. The moment when Marge has cured the Evil Eye, made me laugh.

There *is* one Lisa comic - "Lisa in Wordland" (a parody to Alice in Wonderland, I guess). I have its scanned copy - btw, you can download it here, from the "Lisa Comics" folder. It wasn't bad at all, but wasn't fantastic either. Just a nice comic with Lisa and her cat as main characters.
