Shall we get acquainted?

When watching The Simpsons, was there ever a time where you just wanted to just jump into the TV and give Lisa a big hug?

I have to admit, I wanted to do just that on "Lisa the Beauty Queen", when she was crying on her bed, thinking she was ugly after seeing how that one cartoonist characterized her.

At first, I was thinking the same, but I guess that runfromcheney was referring to the "Aww, poor Lisa!" moments in the show. There are certainly quite a few of them, and I did want to give her a big hug more than once...

Oh, hell, when I saw the moment from "See Homer run" when he opens Lisa's hand-drawed book he
offended he so deep by accident (because of his bloody dumbness!). And then that scene with a magnet - it was quite cruel from authors' side to make her pass such trial. (I always feel a heartache when see her distorted weeping face..)

THe end scene in Lisa's Substitute, where she runs upstairs after calling Homer a baboon after being upset at Mr Bergstrom leaving.... that needed a big hug.

The moment from 'Stark Raving Dad', when Lisa is singing a birthday song for herself and starts to cry, because nobody's there on her birthday. She really could've used a big hug then.

Oh, that was heartbreaking! Though then again, it is heartbreaking to ever see Lisa sad or crying.

I also think this is a different topic... although, if so, it would be rather sad thread... Sad

The moments people posted here are very good, but my "favs" are different. First, is the moment from the same episode Suusje mentioned, when Lisa is sitting in her room with saddened look and Michael and Bart are watching her from outside. Michael says: "She's looking sad." Bart replies "That's because she knows we're looking at her." Then Lisa... oh my, she turns to them and calmly says: "I know that you're looking at me, but I would look the same even if you weren't." ..... I wish I could hug her that moment. Sad Love

Another moment is the scene when Murphy has died and Homer tried to cheer Lisa up. See attachments...

Sad Yes indeed it's a sad thread. And those pictures you posted are heartbreaking. >_< Great episode though, I love the ending...
In the scene with Michael and Bart in the tree, although I agree about the hug part, I thought it was pretty funny the first time... definitly didn't see that coming. o_O
