Aww @ the channel name Smile
When it goes to the technical side, you have no equal as it seems - the TV is perfectly done on this picture. Especially all those details on speakers and shadows falling from the numbers. Small but important details. Lisa, though, could be improved a bit... for example, her visible hand. Try to take the remote the same way - you won't be able to do that Tongue her chest is also too thin, it should be wider than her neck. And her limbs should be just slightly thinner than her neck. I hope you don't mind those nitpicks... besides, everything what's above the pearls was done very well. In particular, Lisa has sweet expression!

thanks dag for the comments...... i did vow to stop drawing at 3am in the morning when i am half asleep, i did the TV much earlier lol..... looking back while wide awake i can see the obvious, i was trying a kind of wierd perpective but that did not work well. And yes what looked ok while drawing the remote looks wrong now. I have ideas how I can correct that when I get time. I suppose i got the bidy wrong as i am more used to drawing full body shots and the picture being cut at the bottom of the screen I found it harder to judge.

I am hacked off at myself for making such glaring errors tho. So if you ever see me in chat after 2am please tell me to go to bed heh heh.....

It is the kind of picture I can redo with different themes so I will revisit this idea again no doubt. Smile

I can reassure you that even with those proportion mistakes, you picture is far better than most of my sketches. Huge head and small body is my usual mistake Smile but your picture still turned out very well, after all, it's the idea, and also Lisa's face and expression that makes the picture. But if you can fix her hand, I'm only for it. Lisa
Please keep drawing! regardless of the time.

OK a long time since I last donned the mouse and graphics tablet. This is actually my first drawing this year!!!

Shame I rarely get a change to do something I am happy with lately... I hate work!!! Bah!

Anyway as I am a bit rusty, and out of proactise not opening up photoshop since December I thought I would ease myself back in with a grabpic. Not just any old grabpic mind, I had to totally redo it with shading, effects and a redrawn background.

Anyway it is one of my favourite scenes from 9F08 "Lisa's First Word", Little Bart with Baby Lisa after she said her first word. Anyway I have redrawn this in widescreen format and made it extra high res wallpaper size too.

The wallpaper size pic is here: http://www.ejnmedia.co.uk/simpsons/bartnbabylisa.png

*For WinXP just convert the .png to .bmp (not .jpg as it will create nasty artifact effects on the textures)

Awwww... Cute scene ^^

It's very well drawn. I like what you did with the shades and stuff like that. For someone who hasn't drawn in a couple of months, you sure haven't lost your style. ^^

Waiting to see more.

Very nice indeed! Big Grin The colours are great!

Shame about your schedule, but its good that you found time for this. If there is one picture like this every month or so, its worth it. Smile Definatly a good wallpaper picture!

Oh wow, i've missed such a great pic for too much time. Smile
Empe, it's really beautiful, in every aspect, from the moment you choose, the care with which you drew their wonderful expressions (Lisa's smile is soo cute!)to the spot on choice of colors, to the really detailed and lifelike background-
And you made a wallpaper version too! Big Grin

I cannot find much more to say except thanks for taking an already beautiful moment and "elevating" it to new levels of beautifulness! It goes straight in my "the reason why i love The Simpsons" folder.  Big Grin

Thanks for the comments..... noticed a few little layer mistakes and things that need tidying. I need to rectify while having it as my desktop wallpaper.  I shall hopefully get these sorted in next few days.

I shall also do a standard aspect ratio version for wallpaper if anyone wants it (1280x1024)

Another long gap between drawings..... after beign a bit battered and bruised at the weekend I decided to go for a grabpic until I can move properly again.

One of my favourite scenes from The Simpsons Movie, where Lisa meets Colin, she acts simply adorable in this scene Smile

As usual, I Don't entirely draw it as the original. This is the Enhanced version with more detail, shading and textures too... and an added lens flare for effect. Enhanced the colours to make it look more crisp too, but the sunlight gives it a softness I am happy with. Still I would of liked to have made it so much more lifelike, but I'll wait for my recovery before I attempt something more ambitious.

As usual I create them at wallpaper resolution so they can be used by people if they so wish, having my nice 22" monitor this one (as the last picture) is at a large 1680x1050 pixels and should display nicely on any widescreen monitor.

http://www.ejnmedia.co.uk/simpsons/colinlisarayw.png

And as of most of my images - a Standard Aspect version at 1280x1024

http://www.ejnmedia.co.uk/simpsons/colinandlisastd.png

Sorry for the delay between images!

Great job Carl Smile I like these kinds of enhanced grab-pics, good work!

Sorry to hear about the bump in the go-carts, but glad you had fun Wink Maybe that would be something comic to draw?  Gigi

Thanks for the comments about the last one. A couple of people have contcted me as some prefer the picture if it didnt have the lens flare effect (while a lot loved it better)

To keep everyone happy here is a version without the lens flare, just a normal sun.

http://www.ejnmedia.co.uk/simpsons/colinandlisa2w.png

The originals with the lens flare are unchanged in the previous post.
