A while back I made this video on how to draw and colour in Paint Shop Pro 7, might as well share it here too. You will need a decent connection since the video is 100MB and a decompresser like 7-zip or Win-rar. Download: http://babysimpson.co.uk/staff/gary/grabpiccing%20in%20psp.avi.gz

Of course. Sadly, there's no voice overs.

How the hell did you compress a 391 MB file into 100 MB It looked like a useful tutorial (I've never used PSP ), but some parts went way to fast, i.e. when changing settings. I guess you could pause the video while these dialogs are being shown, but I think it would be more useful if the dialogs were shown just a little longer. Still, I think it's a very useful tutorial for people who want to start making grabpics in PSP. Good job Yes, we need voice overs in the next video!

I personally think that art tutorials should be rarely published as video, because art is a very complex thing and you always have to stop somewhere, to repeat certain steps again and again until you understand what's happening etc. It's not easy to do with video file and imho a reasonable set of screenshots (with the text explanations of course) would help people much more. It also would be easier to download. No offence Gary, I have totally no possibility to download your tutorial with my dial-up. It's too heavy...

I do have a text tutorial as well. I did the video because people on KLS simply werent getting anything that was in the tutorial and kept asking me pathetic questions.

So you assumed that the level of this forum is the same as KrustyLu's, and posted the same here. Tsk, tsk, Gary... How could you? Seriously talking, if you have less heavy version of your tutorial, it would be nice to see it here. BTW, if people don't get what you try to tell them and keep asking pathetic questions, it's not necessarily their fault.

Well, i saw the video version and i agree that some of the movements when changing preferences, tools, etc--- were a bit too fast. I didn't have problems getting them because i'm already very familiar with these tools, but for a newbie it might be useful to "slow down" those parts. Also, i dont think you need to show the complete tracing of Bart: just three or four of the most important bits to show how the Bezier curve tool work, so it will also decrease dramatically the lenghth of the video. Aside all, even if i dont like much Bezier curves, this is a very interesting tutorial for learning some advanced techniques in PSP. Thanks Oh, and i agree with others.. post the written tutorial too, so it will make a good complelentary for the video tutorial

This is frustrating - I use psp, I use bezier curves and the like a lot, and the last live picture tutorial I saw (on Opencanvas) was very useful... but I'm on a dialup network, and downloading 100MB is simply out of the question . But kudos for making it, nice that people are willing to share stuff like this.
