It was part of the soundtrack to  the film "Armageddon". I found the film a bit far fetched but I still managed to enjoy it.

The film stars Aerosmith Singer, Steven Tyler's Daughter... Liv Tyler.... thus the link with the film Aerosmith play against the backdrop of a fictional space shuttle in the film, along with a full orchestra.

The music video has modified parts taken from the film and a modified scene which Liv is acting out the scene where she speaks to her dad Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis) over video link. In the video he is replaced by her real life dad, Steven Tyler

This is going to be my most personal contribution to this thread in several months...

This song was written by Roger Waters during Pink Floyd's early days, and is probably one of the most personal things he ever committed to paper. It's basically a reflection of his personality, which isn't the nicest at times - and even though he means well, he fails in his efforts to be kind and comes off as something of an ass (remind you of anyone?). A close friend of his at the time, Ron Geesin, said "He found people difficult to be around at times, I think, but he was a deep thinker and a man who really felt things - even though he knew he sometimes wasn't the nicest of people to be around - very confrontational."

Waters is, without a doubt, a man I can very much connect with and understand - his entire persona seems to reflect mine in a way. His personal angst and inner turmoil laces every line in the album The Wall, just the way that he portrays dissatisfaction and sad remorse at the way he is in this song.

In the past two or three months I've hurt more people in my life than I have in the past year. Close friends who were always there for me when I needed them, even if they weren't perfect at times, I chose to oust them for little failings and petty disputes. Maybe those friendships and relationships were beyond repair - but that doesn't mean that getting rid of them was any less difficult. And this is without even mentioning my many outbursts on this forum alone, those that were justified and those unjustified.

So many things I could've done that I will never forgive myself for. So many little things that could've saved me hours, days, weeks, months, years of headache and heartache. If I had acted before then maybe she'd still be around - yes, I'm talking about the girl in my sig. I'll always blame myself for things turning out the way they did, and for not being there.
