I wouldn't have thought to post this if not for something that happened tonight... I went out to dinner with a friend of mine, and we were sort of half-listening to the songs that they were playing, and she'd occasionally say something like "Oh I remember this song", or "Oh I like/hate this song", stuff like that. I thought, "Wouldn't it be funny if they played "Amanda" by Boston"... well, they did. This song means a lot to me, to say the very, very least. Here it is.

John Lennon's "Imagine"... that is, essentially, the anthem to any Communist nation. Just read the lyrics, and if you understand anything about creating a Marxist society, that song basically advocates it.

This song I can relate to in the sense that I feel like I've been living for twice, or sometimes even three times my actual life. Funny how time slips away. But so much has happened to me, even in just the past year, that it astonishes me that I'm still going. One of my teachers told me last week, "You're way too old to be a sophomore in high school"...

It was probably the truest thing someone's told me all year.
