.. yes! Only that this one is held at Groening's Fanworks Central and is a Futurama based one. I know LTS has little to do with Futurama, but in case anyone's interested in joining or just looking at the piccies,
here it is!
Here's also a quick run.down of the rules:
The GFC is running an art competition, starting on April the 7th and running for five weeks, though you can begin entering before that time. The theme will be "What if the Futurama Cast had Different Career Chips?", which should give a fairly wide leeway for cool art stuff.
First prize will be a choice of one of the following:
The Complete Futurama Boxed Set, comprising all four seasons of Futurama,
A set of art guide books, including The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Workbook: Guided Practice in the Five Basic Skills of Drawing,
A Wacom Volito2 graphics tablet and pen.
Second Prize will be a copy of The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and a copy of Time-Bender Trilogy, the 'graphic novel' that picks up somewhere between the start of Futurama and the end of the universe and a copy of Futurama Adventures.
Third prize will be a copy of Time-Bender Trilogy and a copy of Futurama Adventures.
Style, composition and the like are entirely up to you. You don't need to stick to the Groening style, though it's nice if you can. The rules are simple:
Please note, these rules have been updated.
No porn. No unnecessary violence. Essentially nothing you wouldn't let your mother see after a few marguaritas. Otherwise you're free to do what you like within a roughly PG-13 (or BBFC 15) rating.
Crossovers with other fandoms are allowed, if you absolutely must, but try to keep your cartooning style consistent. Nothing ruins a picture more than mixed styles. Very few people can pull it off.
You may enter art that you have already created as long as it fits the theme of the competition. You may also enter as many pieces of art as you like.
Have fun!
