I'm not that good of an artist, but I have a few pics here i would like to show. Here's one of the characters I made up, Robby Simpson. Link to the pictureHere's an old one. The entire Simpsons family, in the future. Left to right: Flora [From my summer of 4 ft. 3 script], Bart, Ameilia [Bart's daughter], Allison Taylor [Well, now she's Allison Simpson], Homer [at top], Robby [in center], Zachary [in front. Bart's son.], Marge, Maggie, Lisa. Link to the pictureThe day Maggie found a comb laying around... Link to the pictureA movie poster made for a chapter of a script-in-progress, "Once upon a time in springfield" [A parody of the movies "El mariachi", "Desperado", and "Once upon a time in mexico".] I still can't draw a gun. And, I intentionally had him hold the gun like that. Link to the pictureMy very first winged Lisa pic ever. I have no idea why Bart thought it was a good idea to hold on. Link to the pictureThe first in a series of illustrations from "Lisa Fitzgerald". Each one has a verse from Bob Dylan's song, "Shelter From the Storm". This first one, I'm going to redraw it. It turned out awful. Link to the pictureThe second pic [remember, these may or may not be actual scenes, just something that fits with the story. Link to the pictureThird pic. This one was drawn around 1 AM, [I had a bad case of insomnia], so this one is waaaaaaayy out of perspective. Link to the pictureThe fourth picture. Link to the pictureThe fifth picture. i am adding more pics to this story, i'm about halfway done with the series of illustrations. Link to the pictureOkay, one day, I was playing megaman battle network game, and watching Simpsons at the same time. The results were just plain weird : ProtoLisa! [With this one, there were problems with the scanner, and the image was cut off.] Link to the pictureHomercloud! Link to the pictureNumbermarge! Link to the pictureToadAllison! Link to the pictureAfter the toadallison pic, I wanted to draw some more of her. This one was inspired by Kathryn Bunny of MT2. Link to the pictureI made her head too big in this one. Link to the pictureSometimes, it's just funny to watch a sibling rivalry take place. Link to the picture

First of all, sorry for replacing all images with links to them. They aren't bad or something, I'm just trying to save people's (and mine) traffic, since all pictures were displaying right in the thread. I'm doing that without your consent, so if you're against that, contact me and I'll return everything back. Okay, the pictures now... Again, they aren't bad, but your style is not perfect. I liked some of them a lot (of course my favorite is Lisa lifting Bart up ) but you have to practice more. The main problem I see is proportions thing. The best way to improve here is doing some grabpics from the show - and judging on my experience, this helps greatly in understanding characters proportions. On the other hand, you have good imagination, and the plots on certain pics are very interesting. All in all, your art looks decent (though some of the pictures are a bit angsty), you just need more practice. And some of the pictures look really nice. So keep it up!

No, I have nothing against you moving the pics to links. In fact, thank you! They were loading a bit slow. Yes, of all my drawing problems, proportions are one of the top ones. Like in the 5th LF illustration, . Thank you for reviewing my pictures.

I laughed out loud at Homercloud!! Actually, all of these pics show a good intent and some have even a nice backstory to them (like sibling rivalry, the family in the fuure...). I would lie if i say that you don't need to improve, though... if you want, i can give you some suggestions. If instead if you're happy with them, i'm sure that with practice you'll keep refining your style, so keep up at it! Just one little thing: I know it's boring, but... keep always a ruler handy And take some time, before the actual drawing, to make a lot of circles freehandedly, to "train" your hand/brain to follow curves. Again, it's boring, but i'm sure it would help greatly! Thanks for the piccies, amateur

That's good advice. Thank you, all of you! I actually warm up my drawing for the day during math class, when the teacher's back is turned. But, you're right, some more drawing excersises wouldn't hurt. Thank you all again!

Sorry for the DP, but here's some new art. More megaman-simpson characters: SearchFlora! [She looks so cute with her gigantic rifle, doesn't she?] This is my first pic with creases in the clothing! http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k2/lisalover1/?action=view¤t=Scan10036.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch3TomohawkBart! [Most of you were suspecting Megabart, right? Oh, well.] http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k2/lisalover1/?action=view¤t=Scan10038.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1Another LF illustartion. For this one, I know the windows and other things are crooked; I couldn't find something to use as a ruler to make a straight line. Anyway, enjoy! http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k2/lisalover1/?action=view¤t=Scan10037.jpg

ametur_poetNice pictures once again my favorite is the third one (LF illustration) - although I cannot recognize this moment in the story, but Lisa looks quite happy on it. I still see problems with character proportions, and can only suggest once again to try making grabs. But it's up to you.

Hi, Chris! Your drawings is amazing! They strikes me foremost by those feelings which they express. The pictures which pleased most to me are those one that contains scenes from LF and lines of verses from song. I think that for a beginner your drawings looks not bad, seriously. And first of all due to emotions which they pass. I am impressed by a picture, where Lisa lies on a hospital bunk. It looks incredibly sadly :-( That's a great one! It contain only pure emotions. I was looking at that picture few minutes and understanding that I must write a review about your pictures. In general you well choose the scenes. Two from them is so frighteningly real. And when Lisa crawls upon the floor she is so small and pitifully...And the scene she getting the punches simply scares me. Well, go on, continue your work because thanking to you I again remembered the unbelievable fic by Jenny Howe.

although I cannot recognize this moment in the story It might not be a real scene, but it's if Lisa went back to the hospital after a few years and remembers how she was saved from a life of tourture. Two from them is so frighteningly real No sense making them fake, right?

Once again, sorry for the dp, but I like to use 1 thread for all of my art. Here's some more LF illustrations, about 3 or so of these to go. This HAS to be the absolute worst drawing of a baritone saxophone I have ever drawn. The basic structure is okay, but the size is WAY off. When I stopped to remember that what Lisa plays is a bari, not an alto, it was too late to change it. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2/lisalover1/Scan10039.jpgAnother illustration, this was my first full-scale attempt at creases and wrinkles in clothing, which turned out horribly. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2/lisalover1/Scan10040.jpgMy second winged Lisa pic. I think I got the feathers okay for this one, not great, many of them look almost juxtaposed, which can get boring, but It's cute to see Lisa bursting through a cloud, IMO. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2/lisalover1/Scan10043.jpg

Well, I don't have much to say about the latest set of piccies, only that they are still nice, though are almost on the same level as your previous ones. Lisa's head is drawn very good on the last picture (love the subject, too) - probably your best one so far. Can't say that her wings look as believable, sorry. But the idea is nice indeed. Keep practicing, nothing to add.

The wing trails does give her a sence of speed. Looks like a super hero! The last picture has been your best, technicaly. If you keep fine tuning your style, you'll get there for sure The second picture is okie. The creases didnt turn out too badly, but then you have to realise that creases in clothes happen where there is a bend in the material. Doesnt always have to be at the edge. Still, not too bad for a first try. First picture was a lil scary. To be honest you could have improved it so much more if you'd have spent 2 minutes rubbing out and redrawing the flat mouth. :/ Anyways, still some improvement. But I must emphasis the fact that all artists make mistakes. I use my eraser more times than I type the letter 'e'. And thats a lot. But its little corrections that will make your work improve. Ask any artist Keep it up!
