A world without string...?! Is CHAOS!!

That is incredibly impressive. Its weird because I've seen girls similar in real life, but not quite. I wonder when the exact replica comes along, her name will be Lisa, in an American accent, that more inteligent than me! Tongue
Aye... I have dreams too...

Its a brilliant picture Yggdrasill! Very very well done. Smile

Great picture, Yggdrasill! Your ability to draw is certainly improving!

But I like your previous realistic-looking Lisa much more, although it's hard to explain why. On From another reality you show atmosphere of Lisa's room so good, but I can't believe that this girl is Lisa, not because of her hair(i like this hair-do), but maybe 'cause I think that she is too old for Lisa. I imagined her younger (a little), but anyway this girl is very pretty too. You are an outstanding artist! ;-)

So many replies! :0 (Wink)

It was only the baritone-sax for which I used some kind of example (sure not copying that). So I can declare with pride that the image of little girl is constantly presents in my mind. Gigi I didn't use any fotos or pics, that's true. The baritone sax as said Suusje is really of big dimensions. Anyway thanks for your commentary!

"I am also amazed at how you've drawn the Baritone Sax and the detail you have included. Looks very realistic"
You can say it from the professional point of view? Wink Well, I just want to say  you wrote somewhere that you playing on some wind instrument (if I'm not mistaken now). Thanks for reply!

Thanks, fellows! I really glad it was pleasant for you. Your opinions are very interesting and necessary for me. Smile

brakusaetsya
Thanks a lot! I know why she is pleasant to you a bit less, beacause previous Lisa was more similar to herself. While this one is an experimental variant. Smile
And I'm glad to see ya here at last!

Hehe, I play the clarinet, which is indeed a wind instrument Smile I don't play the sax, however, I've come across many, and have had a few goes at trying to play one though Big Grin

Don't kick me, but I liked this version of "Real Lisa" way more than the previous one. Smile She looks very cute! And realistic, too. Nice yet complex pose, adorable smile... heh, she does resemble Lisa, necklace and hairstyle aside. Amazing work - I have no words again.

Hello to all you people once again. Have to show you my new picture. It was another song of the Great group called Emperor that has inspired me (the song is "The Majesty of the Nightsky"). Started as true black metal band they find their face in symphonic branch of the style. (disbanded since 2001)
Now I try to reproduce even a small part of that I have felt listening to their music. Just see the picture and feel that almighty force of the nightsky, and all the purity and beauty of life you ever live. It's only one and unique.

Wow, Lisa looks so small in the middle of all that city and huge sky.... the play on light and dark is wonderful. I'd say you managed pretty well to make music in picture for this Smile
You said it all in your comment really... i can stay and look at this for hours.

What REALLY impressed me here is Lisa's expression first, her surroundings next...
I can't stop but think that Lisa feels like she will dissolve in the air the next moment, and she's glad to - just look at her face! It's so unearthly, calm, and... happy. I also love that dimple Smile it makes her look very cute.

The background is incredibly detailed (and well-shaded, too). I have no words about the light parts on the tree, or the sky. You're squeezing out of your pencil everything it can give Eek I don't remember many pencil drawings shaded that well. Simply great.

That, Yggdrasill, is absolutly amazing. A brilliant combination of music inspired art and pencil technique.
I think we all could learn from the way you shade. Such as shading different materials reletive to the position of light sources, and shadows disipation through a distance.
I love the way you've drawn the neon light signs, and the reflection from the road surface. Though I cant be certain, it looks like a gallaxy, or some kind of large planet is visible. I love the way the light difracts through the atmosphere, creating a ripple effect, which is very much realistic as well as artistic.
Lisa's expresion is awe-inspiring. To witness such an event for such a bright person must be extaticly amazing. She is of course very well drawn, her feet seem to be supporting her mass, which is very hard to acheive. Her hair is beautiful, aswell as the rest of herself.
Also, the trees and vegitation are extremely well placed. It compliments Lisa's very natural personality. She looks right at home within the forestry.
The only aspects that change the pictures light atmosphere, is the great looming power plant, hangning over the small town, threatening the sky with its bright and clear vapour...

Cant think of anything to critisize, but frankly... even if I did it wouldnt dent the magnificence of the picture.
Well done Yggdrasill, one of my favurate pictures. Smile

As to previous work... Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked it and have undersrood an atmosphere I tried to enclose in pic.

Longing for Springfield series
When I'm looking at those scenes I'm going to think the same thouds like all of us...to be in Springfiled! To go onto the Springfield mountain, from where opens the perfect view on the town, to walk on the streets, which so knowly so good, to go at the Evergreen terrace and of caurse to meet them all.

These pics are kind of series which is dedicated to our belowed town. (parts I and II) I hope to make third part, final. By the way some locations I "have stolen" from the Hit&Run, I remember such place when I has played times ago Tongue

Wow! Second pic is incredible! Lisa and the Sun - they're looks so similar Big Grin
But Lisa's mouth looks strange - I think, it should be invisible from such angle. On first pic proportions distorted a bit, IMO. But both pictures evoke so many feelings, especially second one. Oh, I just like atmosphere of your drawings so much!

Thanks a lot brakusaetsya and SimpReal. Your replies is very pleasant for me!
brakusaetsya
I remember that her Lisa mouth may be hidden with own cheek, but i think in some ways it may be possible to see her smile from this point of view.

And if someone interested with this question in the second picture there's decline imaged not dawn, though it is possible to mistake for one by one... :/
