Oops, the picture got stuck to me from another post because my session timed out while I was uploading this. :x
But anyways, here's my trade with Marco.
I'm so sorry I took so long.
I did a picture, I looked at it and decided to start all over again. D:
I tried a new level of shading, which took forever. xD But I think it was worth it all in the end.  Smile
Light vs. Dark

Lisa and Maggie? Perfect combination Wink
I like the idea (*lol* at the flying animals) and yes, I agree, this kind of shading looks smooth and neat.
I must admit I don't really understand the idea behind the pic (for example, why they hold these scrolls), but technically - it's amazing! Snowball's expression alone is priceless Big Grin

D'oh! I cant see that picture. Just the typical red cross top left corner. Embarrassed
Odd because, it loaded but, once it was almost done, it goes blank with the cross.

Help?  Sad

It's a .png, I don't know whether that has any bearing on things?   I guess you could try saving it and then viewing it.
As for the pic, though I'm not familiar with the references, the hybrid character design is very inventive.   Winged pets!   It had to happen at some point!    Gigi

Casper
You're right, the image seems to be corrupted... though my Opera still displays it.
I've just reuploaded the fixed version (it's 2 pixels shorter), does it work for you?

Ah! Thanks Dag, can see it now Smile

Well, what can I say? Its a great picture Big Grin
I the costumes are well designed and displayed properly on the characters.

You seem to have a theme going on with scrolls! Big Grin The characters are well spaced and looks nice even without a 3-dimentional background.
If I took a stab at the meaning, I think Lisa (above) and Santa's Little Helper are with the angel, god like style. Where as Maggie and Snowball (bottom) are the evil, sin like style. However I may have them mixed up Tongue

Nice one Rizzy, hope to see more Smile

Well, that looks very good. I like the colors and the poses of the characters. The bad think about your picture is, that you placed the characters randomly. They are "flying" over the picture and the backround is not there at all. You could create a much better atmosphere if you let your figures integrate into the backround, and nicely drawing enviroment or something.
I do especially like the pets on this pictures, they are well drawen and very amusing. Carry on! Smile
Can?t wait to see Marcos half of the trade... *_*

I don't normally do backgrounds ( such as enviornment, scenerey, etc. ) Because I don't think I'm fully capable of doing it. Pardon me if I sound lazy, but believe me, I've tried for other trades in the apst and have been rejected for it. I was afraid it would happen again. So I slap a background I really like onto it.
Sorry for the lame excuse. Sad

Yey it's working for me again now, it's great Rizzy! Big Grin
I love the colours used, and their clothes Smile Maggies inparticular Tongue ( Not just cos she's carrying a scyth XD)

also about the whole background thing, I'm sure your work wouldn't be rejected here if it included a background Smile

I still think it looks great as it is though but in the future, don't be afraid of trying something new, I am sure you will be able to do well with it! Smile and I'm sure it's something everyone here would like to see Big Grin

Keep up the good work though Smile

Rizzy, i bow to thee!

Both in shame, because i've ignored this thread for SO much time i feel like a horrible person, and in admiration because this pictures rules my world. Smile But more into detail...

Maggie and Lisa look so much lively and in character than i ever hoped to see them, their clothing reflects PERFECTLY what i wanted their personalities to be like... your nice styling is all over the place, i can't but squeal with glee at the scrolls (remember me of Naruto, yes? Big Grin ), and the pets are awesome too! They are cute, and funny, and again, very much lively. It's a picture to look at with admiration for the amount of little things that get attention. Smile
I share your disliking to drawing Backgrounds too RIzzy, so i can't really say anything about it. most of the times it's a bore, but i think that in this picture it was not particularily needed.

Anyway, my part of the trade... eeh... it will come. Smile I'm sure you are all bored to hear me complaining about how much i'm busy, so i won't this time. But i didn't forget my part of the deal.  Maggie
