God all I ever do is work work work. Well not quite as much as I used to before I moved. Anyway I just got hired on to a cool little cafe' that serves only organic food. Stuff like Turkey sandwiches with cranberrys and pizza's made with organic cheese and sausage are the norm. I was only hired on TWO days ago (I put emphasis on that for a reason). February 25 was my first day and today, the 26th was my second. I got quite the shock to my system today when my boss, a cool 30-something year old guy who has traversed the world and farmed and kept bees, told me something that shocked me. He told me today, on only my second day on the job, that he wants to open more restaurants of the same design. Remember that I am only on day two here, He also told me that he wants to train me as fast as possible so that he can give me a raise in pay. $8.50 an hour is pretty good for such a small job doing nothing but making sandwiches and pizzas and smoothies.

That still is not the best part. He said that he wants to have me take over the store entirely within one year. He has spent almost a year and a half trying to open the place and has been open for about five months. He has a few workers that are older than I am and who have more cooking experiance. One person  in particular has been cooking for top hotels for 15 years, yet he says that he wants me to take his place within only a year or less.

Now please dont take this as if I am bragging, I dont mean to, but It blew my mind when I heard those words come out of his mouth. I have always been the person that could be cut from the team first and the one who is nothing but a lowlife and now some guy that I have only worked with for 2 days says he wants me to take his place while he builds more cafes like this one.

this guy is not the joking kind of person, at least not in that manner
