Hey all. Just wanted to let you all know that it has finally happened for me. I know I have not been on for a while. I have unfortunatly been living in a "hell hole". I have had no heat, water, or food in my house for almost three weeks. Mind you that the current temperature outside is about 30 degrees F. That makes my house about 20 degrees at night.

The good news is the fact that I am moving this week into my own apartment. I will have my best friend who will be staying with me and that way I will be paying about half of the rent. Anyway I will be back on as a regluar member of this forum in about a week or so.

So untill then...

Yep, that's pretty much what my place looks like.

Some people ask me why, and then I just smile Smile

Look at that hand, lying there
The room is dark, she shows no fear
I'm lying still, my eyes are wide
My heart is pumping, I'm still alive

I'm still awake against my will
What will it ever take
To still this burning in me?

20 degrees Fahrenheit = -6.6 degrees Celsius
30 degrees Fahrenheit = -1.1 degrees Celsius

Sounds rather unpleasant... But how did you survive without water and food for three weeks?  Eek

Well I did have food, just no running water. Have you ever had to resort to living like a transient in your own home? Well, that is what I did. My food was mainly stuff I bought while out at work and what ever left-overs I had, I ate before I went home. It really did suck, but that is ok. I am getting a new job and a new place to live so it was worth the crappy living conditions.

The one job that I am hoping to get would put me on easy street for a while, If i get it that is. It is a simple job, just a bit of typing, telephone answering, and paperwork, and it would give me almost $4000 a month. For someone like me that is like winning the job lottery. I currently make about $200 a month, so this would be a big step up. $200 a month keeps me right at the point where I can get to work and eat, but should anything go wrong, I would be screwed.

The worst part is the fact that the reason that I don't make much money is because I work for my family's business.

Eh, that must be a typo, right? $400 sounds more reasonable for a job like this. If not, I'll move to your place right away. Wink

Congratulations, anyway, Laguna. Smile

Heh!   Don't forget the UK - our civil servants do very nicely too!   In fact, I think it's more or less universal - in far-off galaxies somewhere, little green government employees are rolling in their version of money...
Anyway, I hope you get the job Laguna and all the best in your new home.
