Ok take that back.... think firefox did some strange rendering of it's own and added borders. reloaded and no lines. firefox 3 seems to sometimes do things strange when I get a error on page load, i live too far from the telephone exchange so get flaky downloads at times and very strange results!

* Empethree kicks the interweb.

So without phantom lines, perfect!

** Edit, I am getting it load with lines again on Firefox 3 on XP. I have tried it on mac and it loads without... strange...

I am guessing FF3 is doing something very strange, it loaded once without lines. I have looked at page source (i hope you don't mind) and the code is correct, borders are set to 0.

Currently am looking at it on Firefox 3 on my vista PC upstairs and again, it displays correctly. So it looks like my other PC, one of the plugins must be doing something to the page... sorry about that. Hope it didnt make you do any unessisary work Sad  Embarrassed

I checked the site both in IE6 and FF3, and the layout is completely garbled. Something went wrong indeed...

Anyway, Lisa is very cute here, and the choice of colors gives the right autumn mood indeed. Maybe you could make her feet a bit larger, they look awefully small. Wink

Sad Really? It looks fine on all computers in my house in all browsers... would you mind taking a screenshot so I can see?

Sigh, I must be a terrible coder -_-;

Sure. In Firefox 3, it looks normal if I make the window smaller, but on my 22" widescreen TFT it looks like in the screenshot below. In IE6, the header just disappears behind the content box if I make the window smaller.

The attachment shows how it looks for me. Firefox 3.0.1.

After checking your code a bit (really quick) I think it might be solved by removing all the aligns in the <table> and <td> at the top, since they serve no purpose anyways.

Also, don't use "id" for css if you're going to use it more than once. Use "class" instead, defined by '.' instead of '#' in the css code.

I.e:

.entry{border-width: 0px; background-color:978173; width: 570px; font-size: 11px; font-family: verdana; color: 392c21;}
<td cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="entry">

"id" is supposed to be used only once per page, whereas "class" is used when you want to apply the same style to many objects.

edit: After shrinking the window a bit, I saw what you are going for. Keep the aligns in <table>, but remove them from <td>. You can align tables in html, but you cannot align tds, it's not possible. Align in <td> defines how the objects inside the <td> is supposed to be aligned, which is not what you want, I think.
To get the desired effect of the design, try forcing the tables to be on top of each other (rather than beside each other) by adding one <br /> after the first two </table>.
Also, make sure you close all <table>,<tr> and <td> tags, since some browsers are picky about that.

Vicky
Yes, now it looks correct, both in Opera 7 and Opera 9. Don't have other browsers nearby to check Smile
I'd ask you to keep her feet as they are. They look very cute, the size is okay IMHO... better have tiny feet than huge ones Big Grin
BOB: I strongly disagree with the last statement.

Seems to work ok now, however, the whole layout is aligned to the right - is this intended?

Just some stuff  Lisa The first 3 are over a year old, and the last one is from 2006. Look at all the spaghetti junction in that photo... I should've cleared my TV set up before I did it.

Hi, hi. The once where Sideshow Bob is playing with his son is great. Nice shading.

Vicky these are wonderful Big Grin

meeep2 is wonderfully drawn and a great moment with SSB. I do much prefer this one over the flat version, but both are great. Shows your great drawing skills You have a great way of drawing expressions, same with bwa.

Trade2coulour i love the use of colours here, your simple backgrounds add something to the picture.

Maria again shows different drawing styles, especially is good is the balancing knife.

Lisa looks great in the candycorn pic. Has a sort of stylish "clipartish" look to it! Love the idea and the smile Smile

Ts is a great picture. Love the way you have drawn them climbing out. Again love the colouring. I had a similar idea for my earlier TV pic but couldnt make it work the way I liked.

Oh and one thing, spaghetti junction, you should see behind this desk. I have all the cabling for the house wired network, all my audio cabling for the station, cabling for 2 PCs and laptop. I cannot go behind it as i may become entangles never to emerge again :>

Again thanks for posting, brought a smile to my face Smile

After three months of delay, here i am back to praise vicky for her sugary sweet and cute arts Smile I sure hope you didn't forget about LTS and that you'll be reading this, V!

My favourite of the bunch is without doubt the Sideshow Bob and his son picture, so happy, so colorful and so cute. Smile  Next comes Ruth Power's pic, for the same motives. It's incredible to see what you draw become so nice to the eyes, i'd never get tired of looking at these.
Maria looks beautiful and cute in her younger ages, the balancing knife pose is the best of the page Smile
Lisa as a candycorn is just precious and i agree with empe, it has a nice simplistic-clipartsy feel to it that makes it outstanding.

Also props for the family on TV one, good idea well executed. I love marge and maggie especially here! I sure hope you'll be sometimes back with some more goodies. Thank you for all you did so far though Smile
