Aww, that's too bad indeed. But I cannot stress it often enough - do backups on a regular base! Not only because hard disks can fail, but also because of the human clumsiness, hitting the wrong buttons at the wrong time. Probably the easiest backup medium is using an external HD. They are not that expensive anymore, and with a proper backup software, it's really just clicking one button.

Well, as I am a a mac user too ( 2 imacs, an ibook and a powerbook) i have some experience with them too. I have heard a few people have been successful with FileSalvage..... http://www.subrosasoft.com/OSXSoftware/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1Sadly it's not free. There may be some free solutions availiable i dont know about. I am a member of a large Mac orientated support forum. http://www.macosg.comMay be worth posting there see if anyone else knows anything which may also help you out. They have heped me out a lot. And i have done some cross platform support articles on there too.... I have even been guest on the european podcast heh heh... look out for me "MPfreeUK"

Doodled this in paint chat tonight.
Oh, and I've searched all over for a free program but I can't find one anywhere =[ Although I did manage to recover some stuff anyway (stored on a disc, which I didn't know) but thanks for the help, though.

Oh that is great I love south park too, so nice to see a drawing here heh heh. The method od drawing and colouring makes it look very stylised in appearance, gives it a very nice effect I often like to look at doodles as they are often very charming and show a sort of personality better than fully mastered drawings. Good to hear you recovered some bits.... hope you got a lot of what you wanted

Oh Vicky, i'm so sorry i missed your comeback on the art section... so much catching on to do... But worries aside, i loved watching at your new creations. They might be unknown people to me, but it's hard to make original characters "interesting" to look at at the first try, wspecially on a forum that's focused on always that bunch of characters that everyone knows well already. They look... well its not anime and it's not toon, it's a great personal combination of styles. The camera angle is awesome, it's very hard to pull off too. Congrats, i hope you'll work more on these

(sorry for not posting before ) If it looks anything as profesional as that, I dont suppose anybody would mind if it was Simpsons or not. Very interesting to see the transformation from the sketch form to the completed form, thanks for showing it!

:3 Just doodled this quite fast in oc. It's Victoria my two year old character. She's uh, well...a vampire, and has a brother named Victor. She baby sits a little boy named Aidan who is scared crap-less of her. Sorry for not being very active.

Is a drawing excellent! the range of yellow is cold and very elegant, you get a good contrast with the dress in this pic .... the style in the hands is very good! yay!

the "ma_lu" pic is great, clean lines, nice colours and the choise of colours for the outlines gives it a nice softness , sort of real and cartoony at same time. I cannot yet comment on the OC pic as hard drive falire has trashed my OC install, not got time to re-install at the moment, hopefully i can come back and add comments when i get something sorted Knowing alkl your past drawings it no doubt is great lol Carl!

You manage to pull of character's expressions/poses so well it makes me wanna draw more but I fail capturing the same level of personality each time D: Hehe, guess I just better practice I like how your work is colourful, professional looking, yet laid back (and done on OC ) It's great to see you're still drawing
