(See my sig...) Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: Empethree on September 06, 2008, 01:09 Ok now i know the rebuild of the equipment is all ok I can hopefully start to plan a special LTS show based on the lyrics, instrumental threads.
If anyone has any suggestions, submissions or would like to help (or even do a live show on the station) let me know Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: G.H. on September 06, 2008, 01:31 Empethree
Cool, so this means we may be able to pick up that idea of doing a radio show based on the "Top 10 Favorite Songs" thread? I'll have to go back and reread some of that discussion, it's been awhile... Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: Empethree on September 06, 2008, 02:04 yeah a long while!
I have a fair amount of tracks there, i am sure i can get hold of some others needed Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: Empethree on September 25, 2008, 01:29 OK done a 2nd test show but this time I archived (most) of the show. The Master file is currently 938Mb for about 1 1/2 hour show. I am currently converting it to mp3 for people to listen to to get idea of what the show may be like.
Note i still resetting my equipment and refining levels for the best quality. Hopfully should have a smaller file online soon! *Edit - File now 109Mb - 160Kbps MP3. I am just editing the sound as the audio is filtered to optimise it for the 64k Stereo & mp3PRO broadcast, so sounds overmodulated at 160k. Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: CalculatedChaos on September 25, 2008, 01:47 I ought to be able to download and listen to it and I really want to!
Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: Empethree on September 25, 2008, 01:54 Still converting rofl...... such large uadio files are hard to edit heh heh. Shouldnt be too long... Gotta figure out of my server big enough to host lol
*Just a thought. i hope there is no-one in the OC Server atm as they would probably be hammered by my CPU sittign at 100% and a very high RAM load lol oops... sorry If you are tonight! Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: CalculatedChaos on September 25, 2008, 02:05 You're going to upload it here as an MP3 right? Because that should work, I was able to DL the interview with Yeardley someone (you?) posted a long time ago from Virgin Radio UK.
Edit: Whoot! 250 posts FTW (well...252), I'm now a Sr. Member! Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: Empethree on September 25, 2008, 02:15 I will probably post as password protected zip as it is a studio file and I can get done for distribution lol Zip is safer. If there is problems I can probably find another way.
Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: CalculatedChaos on September 25, 2008, 02:19 Okay, just let me know. I've had 'Dark Side of the Moon' playing on repeat since last week and could do with a change.
Title: Re: Live broadcast Post by: Empethree on September 25, 2008, 02:34 The broadcast went out live on 24th-25th on MPfreeUK Radio. The first hour 1/2 of the show got cut off by a power blip which took server offline. this is the part of the show which ran from about 11:30pm to just after 1am (BST).
Artists Featured: Angel City Duran Duran Rhianna Whitesnake The Script Buffalo Springfield Colby Callait Phil Collins Pink Floyd Take That Starship Sam Sparro The Verve The Who JoJo Seal Eric Clapton Queen Aerosmith Jordin Sparks William Orbit Vs Ferry Corsten Download URL now availiable: File Size: 109Mb Running Time: 95m http://www.filefactory.com/file/ce73db/n/djfrags250908_mp3 Couple of small cockups, the first thing you hear is the Station ID, music can be heard playing over, this is from where server cut off due to power blip. At and a song starts playing over the playout track, this is the scheduling kicking in too early and trying to continue stream thinking I had stopped live session. For thos who are interested in the tech side: The Studio: http://www.mpfreeukradio.co.uk/studio1.jpg DJ Software - BPM Studio Professional running on the LTS OC Server XP PC. Streaming through the mixer to the broadcast streaming server located on an iMac (Replaced the 2 Apple laptops) which streamed live and recorded the stream. 2 More Pics taken tonight during broadcast: http://www.ejnmedia.co.uk/mpfreeuk/files/bpm08.jpg <-- BPM on the newer monitor than in studio pic, the high res and wide screen makes chatting during the show easier + updating track info on the server. http://www.ejnmedia.co.uk/mpfreeuk/files/djfmic08.jpg <-- the Behringer B-1 Consenser Mic... powered by the mixing desk (Behringer Eurorack UB1204-Pro). Makes even mycrappy voice sound better lol. Title: Re: First LTS Broadcast (sort of), see end posts! Post by: CalculatedChaos on September 25, 2008, 08:31 You sounded fine, if a tad hesitant. It was a very enjoyable setlist, and I'd like to hear more!
One tiny request, if you post another, that is: play Peter Gabriel's "Father, Son", it's been ages since I've actually heard it and the album (Ovo) it's on was never released here in the states, so it's bloody impossible to find! :p Thanks for sharing! :lisa: Title: Re: First LTS Broadcast (sort of), see end posts! Post by: SimpReal on September 25, 2008, 10:12 I'll surely check it out tonight :) It looks liek a massive setup and a greatly planned list, too! Congratulations in advance empe :)
