Title: see ya later!
Post by: CCD! on July 14, 2008, 05:29
I should admit my small inspiration and energy to draw, could not find a justification. maybe are my skills, my technique and style are not surprising or  correct (i am not a sketcher)... but occasionally can sen you a  nice lisa-pic ...

I try to fly and find an answer! How could despite the distance  establish a link with you?

my fustraciones and your cries are the material of my wings, and the sweet fantasy is our sky ... free of selfishness and incomprehension ...

ok! is time of take my old pencil again!  :lisa:
Cherry Blossom!!!

see ya!

Nice work, but...
More canonic style! I vote for Lisa that does look like Lisa in the show :)
Say yes to short spikes! Say no to anime, manga and other stuff like that :red:

Say yes to letting artists have the freedom to explore their own creative ideas...

G.H.
I expected such comment, but...
Let's admit, for years Gustavo's drawing style kept deviating the more and more away from the original, canonic style. I'm all for original pictures, especially Lisa ones, but all I want is to see Lisa that does look like Lisa from the show, otherwise it's hard for me to convince myself that I see Lisa, not some sort of random Anime character...
Sorry, but that's how I see things. Look at Vicky's pictures and you'll understand me.

Gustavo, no offense intended! I remember one picture you posted not long ago, with the same Lisa pic drawn in your own and more canonic formats. What you draw now, is very far even for that "original" version on that pic, which means that you keep flying away and away from your own old drawing style. I miss it...

Dagdamor
Well, as I said in another thread (it was half-joking so I think the point was missed), draw your own Lisas. Serge, I've seen your art, it's nothing to be ashamed of. If you want to see Lisa drawn canonically, you don't have to look much further than your own hands, a pencil, and a piece of paper. When I was as Lisa-obsessed as you are, I drew my own Lisas, and still did even after I found this forum. It was a kind of "therapy", if you will. Maybe Gustavo sees Lisa in a different way than you do - perhaps he sees her as a different entity. Certainly his anime-ish style gives Lisa an entirely different feeling. You, on the other hand, see Lisa every way she is on the show - that's fine - but that's something you want.

The point I'm trying to make here is this: There's nothing wrong with wanting to see Lisa drawn the way Matt Groening draws her. But don't pressure other artists to want to the same thing. Either do it yourself, or commission them to do one for you.

By the way Gustavo, I think your last few sketches are wonderful - even though I really dislike anime, your style of drawing Lisa has always captivated me. You give her a twist that makes the cuteness some see in her turn into beauty.

Title: Re: Cherry Blossom
Post by: CalculatedChaos on July 14, 2008, 23:58
I agree with G.H. on that important point. If it wasn't for artistic freedom we wouldn't have some of the fantastic works we have here. And the Lourve wouldn't be nearly as incredible.

oh.... -_- "this is a long story"...
well.. (again)....Serge please understand me.. I can't draw with the "rules" or in a canonic style.... :(  ... It is impossible to my hand... thanks by your sincerity... but if do you like look canonical lisas please search in topics of real artists... remember This is a long history my friend...

I can't draw by this motive...  and I don't need more discussions in my topics!  :( GH and Serge.. please peace!..  please only enjoy...
well I try draw somes canonical lisas Mr Serge... please patience...
George... thanks by your words.. thanks a lot..

Ok this is a canonical Lisa... in reality is a "mirror"... and maybe is a sad picture...

Title: Re: Cherry Blossom
Post by: El_Barto on July 15, 2008, 01:36
I agree with Gustavo... Let's not turn this topic into a discussion x_x

About this last pic, it's very sentimental... She looks sad... I wanna give her a hug!

Title: Re: Cherry Blossom
Post by: Dagdamor on July 15, 2008, 01:41
*sigh*
Gustavo, I have no idea why you pictured her like that, if that's your best picture then I'm Chinese :(
I won't raise this question again, I see it's no use. You either can't, or don't want draw in the canonical style anymore, and that's your right to do.
Sorry for raising this ruckus.

Title: Re: Cherry Blossom
Post by: Andreas on July 15, 2008, 02:09
I don't know why someone should draw "canonical" Lisas - it's entirely up to the artist how to portray a character. Maybe except from some very old sketches, Gustavo never drew canonical Lisas - and regardless how old a Gustavo pic is, you will always recognize his style immediately. I admit that his style developed into a more anime-ish one, but I think you can still recognize immediately that it's a Simpsons character - and if it's only the yellow skin and the overbite. ;)

For us, who enjoy the pics that are created by the artists, it shouldn't matter how they look, and we simply don't have the right to complain about the lack of certain things and stuff like that. Of course it's up to us to like a pic or not, and I think we should be also allowed to say "sorry, not really my cup of tea". But we should appreciate the effort, or at least keep our mouth shut (as Lisa would like to say "It is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." ;) ).

Well, that said, let me tell you that I really like the three pics you posted, Gustavo. :) The second one is the most impressive one for me - and it makes me really wanting to hug her right now. I wonder what saddens her so much?

Title: Re: Cherry Blossom
Post by: CCD! on July 15, 2008, 02:13
well Serge.. me no like draw in a canonical style.. I can draw a normal lisa but it is bored and is only is a copy of the style of matt greoning... "only a copy" is the exact word...  and me no like this... maybe other artists like copy the rules and  skills of  others artists.. but remembers this : I am only a lisalover  ;) and Lisa to me is a combination of two parts: the first in the Lisa of the TV show and the second part is a bit of my own soul... and my pics only a mirror..

but i promise draw a canonical lisa to you sometimes  ok? :) (I try.. but is hard .. I have "short fingers")...

*Lisa send hugs  :lisa:*

Title: Re: Cherry Blossom
Post by: Dagdamor on July 15, 2008, 22:41
I wanted not to post about this discussion into this topic anymore, but Andreas has raised a good question...
I agree that we should never tell artists what they should draw and what not. But Gustavo and me are good friends, for years we were sharing similar views on our favorite character, and I enjoyed his pictures as much as this can be possible. Like you said, his style keeps developing, while my views don't change and I don't feel I like his recent pictures as I did before. What can I do in this situation? Only ask him to not to deviate too much, risking to insult him... I know it's not right but I don't see what else can I do instead of keeping my mouth shut and possible lose him forever as one of my favorite Simpsons artists.

And Gustavo, don't you like Lisa on this last pic :) Lisa still has some animeish features here, but doesn't it look like much better compromise between the show canons and your own fantasy? I'm not pushing anyone, I'm also sorry for my words I said before (pretty harsh ones)... I don't want to push you to draw what I like. I want you to like what you draw, and especially what you drawn in the past.

Thanks for understanding me :)

Loving all of your pictures in this thread...... I would like to apologise for not commenting before. I love both the styles you have done in his thread. I love them both in completely different ways for different reasons, thats why I find your non-canon style refreshing.

Your lastpic though is extremely cute on so many levels..... dont think its your best drawing wise, but best for the feel and the situation of the drawing....

I hope you can continue to draw in both styles :)

Aw, cute pic :) but why her wings, at least the left one, appear to be in front of her hand?
If I imagine wings' anatomy correct, they should be almost unable to bend forward, like we are unable to bend our elbows backward. Aside from that, sweet one, makes me go "aww", also sleepy :D

Title: Re: Cherry Blossom
Post by: Empethree on July 20, 2008, 00:36
I dont know Dag.... I am sure i seen pictures of birds (and bats too) who fold thier wings forward. Doesnt look wrong to me personally..

...than again I am the man who drew Lisa's hand in an impossible position rofl.... so I may be totally wrong :red: :D

I agree with you Serge...... I have looked at the picture before bed and it gave me a sort of warm peaceful feeling :)

*On a side not I would like to apologise for some of the mistakes in my posts tonight, spelling and layout. I am in the bedroom using the TV as screen and my Mouse and Kayboard batteries are running low so the mouse is skipping across screen and missing out clicks when I edit and they keyboard is missing out keystrokes..... also due to room layout the reciever is at limit of this mouse and keyboard so makes it worse. I hate wireless KB + mice, only using it due to the "remote control" nature of using the TV. Other PCs/macs are wired.

D'oh!

In a lot of ways, Like Dagdamor I would really like to see you (Gustavo) draw a show style Lisa. I'm not bored of your style drawings and, dont think I ever want you to stop drawing in your style. But it would be interesting, as a technical excersice. ;)
Drawing the original Groening style would take longer, but you could reward yourself with a Gustavo background :D
Then again, I cant talk... I havent drawn Simpsons in ages...  :red:... This inspiration cube isnt working!

Anyway, the new pictures are nice, and although it would seem a step backwards... doesnt mean it isnt a step in the right direction. ;) Keep it up!

anyway... in the night again...

Evening
Richard Aldington (England, 1892-1962)

The chimneys, rank on rank,
Cut the clear sky;
The moon
With a rag of gauze about her loins
Poses among them, an awkward Venus—

And here am I looking wantonly at her
Over the kitchen sink.

anyway... in the night again.... is 30 minutes is midnight and the next week... in this moment my room is very dark, alone with the laptop... alone? ... no no.. I am with "her" .. with my shy lover... we are timid lovers... "her" is my bed with me in this moment.. sleeping in peace between my cries and our hope...  in this moment the peace in my room is complete... is stranger but I can't undertand my feelings

"...I need to sleep and be alone ... with Lisa".....

Hah, that one is pretty nice, CCD! Especially her face with such embarrassed expression. I wonder only what is the letter, is it a love one or a kind of communication 'without words'? And I like the view from the first person, it is always looks very personal. as if artist shares with you his own feelings. I mean here it is more implied than in other pictures. Of course I keep in mind that all pictures are what the artist wants to express to others.

If a man could say what he loves
Luis Cernuda

If a man could say how much he loves,
if a man could raise his love in the sky
like a cloud in the light;
if like falling walls,
in order to salute the truth, straightened in the middle,
he could plunge his body headlong,
leaving just the truth about his love,
the truth about himself,
which is not called glory, nor fortune, nor ambition,
but if love or desire,
I would be the one who imagined;
the one who, with his tongue, his eyes and his hands,
proclaims in front of the men the ignored truth,
the truth about his true love.

Freedom I do not know but the freedom of being imprisoned in anybody
whose name I cannot hear without chill;
someone for whom I forget this mean existence,
for whom the day and the night are for me whatever he wants,
and my body and spirit float in his body and spirit
like lost logs that the sea submerges or raises
freely, with the freedom of love,
the only freedom that exalts me,
the only truth for which I die.

You justify my existence:
if I do not meet you, I haven't lived;
if I die without meeting you, I don't die, because I haven't lived.

The powerful divinities of the Simpson VS Futurama  Art Contest are a big event  ;) but remember too the normal divinities, as the divinity of the dreams... yeah  :gigi: she a small angel that live in your sweet dreams... but caution too is dangerous... the limit between dreams and nightamres is very small  :)

I love your drawing style of Lisa. It differs from classical style, but in it there is a charm. In your pictures Lisa more lovely than usual and habitual to us Lisa. In many your pictures Lisa looks more infantile than usually. But in this picture she's more adult. Enamoured, she looks like little vamp. In the sight of her eyes there is something attractive and hypnotizing. This picture is a real masterpiece. I'm amazed by how you express your emotions through the pictures!

Gustavo does it again!.. Another tiring day at work ( i hate long bank holiday weekends as I work extremely hard throughout) ANd yet another smile on my face. Gustavo you have the knack of turning a few simple lines into something magical, it seems no matter how long you spend on a picture you ALWAYS capture the emotion and the message of the picture, you most simple and most complex drawings both have the same level of charm and feeling.

In a stange way your simple sketches kind of remind you of my grandfathers work. My grandfather was an artist and his business was designing adverts. He designed the drawings on a lot of clothing packaging. One notible Rael Brook shirts. Hi made simple concept sketches, but he had knack of making them come to life, and the concepts were often used over the planned full artwork because of that. You seem to have a similar knack of turning simple sketches into something that lives.

I may wallpaper my bedroom with your stuff heh heh!

I agree with Mr. MP3!

I do have one small thing that bugs me about her pose though, Gustavo.

It almost looks like she has the wrong leg propped up and really has to stretch to get that elbow on top of it. (Meh, maybe it's just a perspective issue)

I can't live forever  and by this motive is necesary enjoy each minute  :lisa:

No offense Gustavo, but lately it seems like your pictures have been a bit... lacking. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but if you want my advice I'd try spending a little more time on your pictures. Instead of sketching out a picture and posting one every few days, I'd take my time and draw it, refine the details, add color, etc. to make it look really amazing.

Take Frank for example. He doesn't post art often, maybe about a month or a month and a half between drawings, but when he does post, it damn near knocks us off our feet. I'd try doing the same... take some time and refine your work, instead of scrambling to post every little sketch you can. You're not under contract.

Title: Re: galletas, mazapan y chocolate caliente
Post by: CCD! on September 16, 2008, 23:31
@GH

.. you are wrong in a big point... I only take the pencil "because yes" and i don't need quality in my drawings... to me only is necesary draw lisas by "other motives" (anyway you know the motive or only read the "lisa marie simpson thread" ... ok? :-/

my feelings are different from those of a normal cartoonist ...."ok?"... if I need think as an real artist just only need a register in deviantART :-/ ... Do not you think? ... LTS is a home for me and I am one of its first members,  this place is a refuge for me and my friends...

anyway....thanks by your words...  but I am under a "special" contract with a nice girl with spikes hair...

Just offering some constructive criticism. Like I said I'm not seeing much inspiration in your drawings lately.

Title: Re: galletas, mazapan y chocolate caliente
Post by: CCD! on September 16, 2008, 23:59
Do you know the reality, deep and demonic  that actually contains the word "inspiration"??? :-/

The inspiration is a kind of madness that envelops the body in flames, can be creative, as in a artist, or of the "desire", as in the lovers, the bloody spiral of pain and tenderness caused by living a limbo is something magical and is reflected not only in the quality of a picture, ... also exists in the words, in the message of the eyes and lips and (of course) in the acts of love, but I can't talk about this in a public forum, are themes  of "real maturity" to talk about this with sincerity....
... in resume I draw only "because yes"...

(pssst.. I write erotic poetry in the university... maybe my inspiration live in my words... but you are very young to read a poem of my hand)

"ok"?

anyway "thanks" again by your "constructive criticism"

Wow, such hostility. Do you expect everyone to just die from the cuteness every time you post a drawing? The moment someone tells you something other than "Wow Gustavo you're just amazing I wish I had your talent", this is your response...? Yikes. Last time I comment here.

Argle :)
This reminds me so much of the time I was asking Gustavo do draw Lisa in more canonical style. I remember George barking at me about every artists having the right to draw what he/she wants :) I think the same applies here, to some degree.

George, no need to push on Gustavo, you know how he loves Lisa and how he treats her. If the guy wants to draw quick sketches involving her, why not, this forum's database won't explode. :) You can just ignore this topic if you don't like the style/subject/technical mumbo-jumbo.

Gustavo, no need to take a break from this forum just because someone criticized you/your art. You should be strong... much more strong than that, in fact. For that spikey boss you apparently have, don't act like Milhouse ;) Also, I think that if you pay a bit more time to each of your pictures, you won't fail Lisa at all.

Title: Re: see ya later!
Post by: Empethree on September 17, 2008, 02:08
A shame to be driven away from the forum :(

I did not realise there is a rule anywhere on this forum that states that users cannot post thier thoughts in sketch form and all works have to be of the highest quality! What is frankly been said is that CCDs basic sketches are of no value and doesn't deserve to be posted. That is so wrong :(

If there is such a rule I shall no longer post my stuff here either.

CCD, please carry on posting your sketches and do not feel under pressure to "conform" to anyone elses expectations. Not all of the best art works in the world are about the best quality, but rather the message contained in them. Some of your works are not of the highest quality, they are good for basic sketches dont get me wrong. But who gives a toss, the feeling and message of the pictures are present in all your works and that in itself makes it high quality.

... sorry for posting this but seeing this kind of thing in someone elses art thread really hacked me off! There is constructive critasism, and users have posted this in CCDs thread before and got a positive response, but there is no need to insult someone's work or compare it disparagingly to others work.

*posted just as dag posted hius reply so this not aimed at dag lol

Well, since I'm the one with cold head and heart here (;)), I must admit that at first, George posted his thoughts in rather delicate way. Art threads should allow criticism as well, not only praise, otherwise artists will degrade. I cannot blame George for his opinion. But somehow things and feelings got heated very quickly...

One more thing: I liked Gustavo's last sketch. Yes, it's simple, but I was glad to see it, it radiates peace. :)

/me scratches head at George's avatar: Joker's face + "R.I.P." note below. Great job, Opera cache :/

Title: Re: see ya later!
Post by: G.H. on September 17, 2008, 03:31
Since there's too many accusations being aimed at me at once, I'll just sum it up in one statement without decorating the post with quotes.

I'm not "pushing on Gustavo". And this is not like Serge's comment about wanting to see more canonical style Lisa. Serge wanted a different style. I'm not asking for that, hell I'm not asking for anything. I'm just suggesting spending a little more time on your drawings... it gives each one more uniqueness.

I did phrase my words nonchalantly at first, though I was surprised at the reaction. It gives rise to the question "Are you ready to be criticized?" Perhaps Gustavo isn't. My intention wasn't to chase him away, only to suggest something. If you are an artist, you should be ready to receive criticism.

And I'm not "insulting his work" or "comparing it disparagingly to others work". I'm offering constructive criticism. I don't know why I'm being made out to be the bad guy here. Because I didn't back off when Gustavo shot back at me? Nice.

/me scratches head at George's avatar: Joker's face + "R.I.P." note below. Great job, Opera cache :/
Now it's my turn to scratch my head... my Wright avatar isn't loading for you?

Woah... what went wrong here?
A misunderstanding seems to have been taken way too far...
CCD
If you really feel you need time away we will still be here, though I hope it's not for too long.

I actually don't see what upset Gustavo initially, the comments were fairly phrased. It would be nice to see some more finished work from his hand but I respect his decisions on quality and quantity.
*sighs*
Man this has been a cruddy week...

Title: Re: see ya later!
Post by: Empethree on September 17, 2008, 06:16
OK.... Stressful evening, I been working on a OC chat room and things were not quite going to plan so I retired to my room angry and saw these posts. Guess that didn't help. Also last day of my holiday so back to the stressful job!

I guess that in my angered state i read too much in to G.H's post, although I do not retract my comment about people being able to post any sketch or thoughts on paper they so desire. Reading back on the thread then it shows gustavo is very busy and I guess trhese sketches are his way of letting off steam, without having time to do a more complete drawing. I find Gustavo's simple sketches charming and thoughtful.

Its kind of like writing a simple verse on a piece of paper. Or a sketch on a school book. Thse show the thoughts at the time of drawing. Moreso than a more complex drawing which in many cases evolves as thoughts, emotions and the situation changes. Gustavos sketches seem like his raw thoughts placed on to paper at that moment. A more complex drawing will change from the original thought, even slightly over the time it takes to draw. It gives us an insight into the person behind the drawings. Yes I agree It would be nice to see one of Gustavo's full drawings again, but he does need to find the time and the right moment!

I think the language barrier has caused mis-understandings between G.H. and Gustavo which caused things to flare up. I personally read Gustavo's "taking a break" post then G.H.s last post first and it made me angrier, as I read after hitting the last reply button from the forum thread and went back. I suppose if I had read G.H's first post first then my anger wouldn't of flared more and my post would of been calmer and to the point like this one.

I apologise to both Gustavo & G.H.  (and to Serge too) for posting my last post in this thread and continuing a heated discussuion that Gustavo didnt want. Hope no hard feelings are left

-Carl

It's okay... I agree that the language barrier may have played a part in the misunderstandings here. And I'm not saying that Gustavo's sketches are bad, either. Certainly they're a hell of a lot better than I could ever do. I just think (my opinion) that they're becoming more rushed. Maybe I should step back and look at it as just letting off steam...

These are stressful times for all of us... and I'll be honest with everyone... losing Rick Wright hasn't been an easy thing for me to come to grips with... I'm still very much in shock. So I'm sorry if I seem a bit more unstable than usual... I just never prepared myself for this to happen. No I did not know him personally, but I very much admired him... and when someone you look up to passes away, you can't help but feel a void in your life...

Sorry...

Always while i sleep, eh?  :o

Anyway it's all been said i think, i have nothing to add.
Just a request for CCD to not to take so seriously this whole thing, and to come back to the forum and draw whatever he wants.

GH's criticism was correct, if we want to look at it more like a suggestion to give CCD more viewers, maybe on the wrong assumption from GH's side that CCD wanted more replies to his pics (while he draws "because yes"  :) ). CCD was free to take it or leave it, his reaction was indeed a bit strong... maybe it was the language barrier to make him misunderstand, i don't know, but imo GH did nothing bad.

I agree that it's all been a bad coincidence of bad moods and misunderstandings.

Yes, for some reason your old avvy stood even when I pressed F5 - but now it has changed. It's my Opera's behavior, not LTS' one, don't worry :) And yes, sad news about Rick Wright... my condolences to all Pink Floyd fans :( I haven't became one, but I liked the music.

Er...my 2 Cents?..

Gustavo, you're an amazing artist :) and although I like your recent sketchs of Lisa, I can see where GH is coming from.
Quick sketches are good practice, and not bad, the last Lisa sketch was rather cute admittedly, and I rather liked it :) But I, like GH would also like to see you do a big picture one day, if possible.  No pressure, but if you ever have a few free days, experiment and try to do a big, in depth Lisa picture if you wish to ^_^ After all this practise, I have a feeling it could turn out amazing.  However, it's all up to you.  If you wish to post quick sketchs more than a few big pictures every now and again, it's fine by everyone here. ^_^ Your art is always a pleasure to look at :D

…here’s my little tick-tack bomb

El saludo, Gustavo, de otra parte de nuestro planeta. Perdone por mi espa?ol, si algo no es correcto... =)

My apologize for what I didn’t posted here before, but i just want to say few words about…
Well, first of all, you’re very talented artist (for me). You’ve showed us a very specific and unusual art style, which i like rather more than any other.
Second, i’m very glad to find someone, who loves Lisa so much, so infinite…
And third: most of all i’m glad, that you has choosen the “art” way to show and describe your feels to Lisa. Not fictions, not music… just art. In some reasons i perceive your art works as some kind of love letters to this spiky-hair yellow girl. Very poetical and emotional letters, i must say. And you, my dear LTS-visitors and Lisa’s fans, are messengers, in my view of the subject… All of you.
You send these letters to location, where Lisa is living now. It’s in different places at once, and first of all, in your minds and hearts.
And your comments, your praises are Lisa’s replies to the artist. That’s how i see CCD’s art.

And a some of MHO, if  you don’t mind. It’s about “looks like” hostile reaction on G.H.’s criticizing post.

to G.H.
(Please, don’t perceive the text below as offend or call to “challenge”. But i’m afraid that you won’t listen to my request.:( Don’t forget that i’m not english, so maybe some words, i’ve used at this post, you’ll find aggressive, or offensive. In that case, accept my apologise for these words):
Haven’t you realized, what did you do by calling last pics “a bit… lacking”? And for what need was that inappropriate comparison of CCD with other artist… For damn sure there was no language barrier problem, and i’m sure that Gustavo understood all correctly.
The point is you had offended very roughly without understanding, that those pics are the only CCD’s vision of Lisa’s image, and if he would like to draw her more detailed or in another way, or to make the finished colored and clean picture – he will definitely do it.
So that what you said about need to take more time with details, colors etc… is, imo, SO OBVIOUS for everyone (including CCD!), that posting advice such as that was a senseless act.
Well, let’s return to main stream of my thought. You offended very roughly… no, not the artist, not his artwork. You offended his feelings! You made him feel very deep pain for his love (i describe it as i would feel myself in CCD’s place). Same painful could be only getting the message in one day like this one: “Sorry, but we should never meet again!”, from beloved girlfriend…
So, haven’t you noticed that natural and so pure love in all previous CCD’s artworks? The real motives of his art?.. All these heart-shapes, notes and how Lisa looks?
You should have more acute mind and choose words wisely and carefully, while postin’ a comment in such a thread. So maybe it’s all really just because of your age (i’ll repeat: please, i don’t want to offend you with these words or call you on another “challenge”, not at all… it’s only for your consideration).

In fact, CCD not an artist, i think. He’s first of all, a lover, who sends the letters, who writes poems at his own way to beloved and waits for that wonderful moment, when he’ll meet his love… Man, it’s so deeply!

Since i’ve started to speak about such a different and (in some points) such a controversial term as “love”, i want to say my opinion about what was discussed at closed thread “Lisa special gallery”.
Let’s start from admitting the fact, that all things you can see, for example, at LTS is inspired by reality and taken from it (absolutely everything). Because, first of all, we’re – part of this reality and we are brought up by real life.

to G.H.: (again)
Pictures, which show underage’s privacy violence are disgusting, you say? And what makes you think, that so called (by you!) “hilarious” Metalocalypse, which shows us many scenes of blood/harming/dying/killing/ people is better and this horrible type of humor is suitable for every tv-watcher, huh? I’m asking the rhetorical question just because i thought (from your words), that you like watching this show. It’s all in your brain: the society from your place put your mind in borders, restricting it from one thing, and kept the mind opened for some other.
There is no need to hate anything. At first, try to understand this “anything”…
And, if you asking me, i’m against so senseless “just for fun” blood/violence/killing people and, especially, violating underage’s privacy! Against, but don’t hate – i just turn away from unlike things, until it won’t cross or stirs my or important (for me) people/things’ privacy.
You must try to understand, that there are so many undefined reasons for hate or love of anything in our real life for each person separately. Because, as i said, we’re brought up by our biggest nanny – reality. But for every person this nanny has its own face – reality is so huge, immense and polyhedral, you know. It all depends from such circumstances as (for example) nation’s culture, its geo-climatic location, your family’s wealth, some personal life’s events (like meeting with somebody important during your life) etc, etc, etc. All that has more or less influence on progressing and formation of every’s personality. And sometimes that method gifts to humanity very genius persons.
I’d like maybe to say something more about it… But, as Gustavo would like to say in this situation, “it’s a long story” =)
Afterall, i just want to say, that all this “undefined” bunch of reasons comes to ONE MAIN: it’s a limitation of our life and, as result, a limitation of our knowledge (although, i could agree with someone, who thinks that our limited knowledge IS the reason of our limited life;)).
That’s why, I every time trying to look at things without instinctive hatred to them, but with possibility to understand them and their motives, whatever it would be.

p.s.: my God!!! I finally finished writing this one “hardcore” post. =)
Do you realize how difficult could that be for a person, who needs to use a dictionary to find out the difference between “sweet” and “sweat” words :D

So i wrote the whole above just to explain my opinion. Please, do not start senseless flame disputes (Gustavo asked you about it also)! I just cannot reply on yours. This post i’d been writing in 25-30 minuets!!! And it was really tough for me.

G.H. personally: sorry, man! No hard feels! Just accept my post as “constructive criticism” from someone, who has “B-“ on English ;)

p.p.s.: SimpReal, Dagdamor… I’m extremely sorry for that post. I think, that it could bring you another admin’s headache. I’m sorry, but i’m asking you: please, let Gustavo read this! And after that, if you’ll find it necessary – you can delete this post to prevent flame-reaction or something else.

p.p.p.s.: Gustavo, i’ll say it again – you’re the best! I’m your big fan from now and you must remember it. For me it’s very important, that you’ll start post your new pictures as soon as possible (with new verses – i like those you posted before with your art! =)). Just remember – i’ve exactly the same feelings to Lisa as yours. My respect and gratitude to you! Draw, draw, draw more poems to her! She’ll meet you, i believe so. You just wait for this tender moment…

I... don't see the point of your post. This is over half a month gone, everything was resolved, I don't understand why you had to resurrect this subject. If you wanted to bash or flame or belittle me (and don't tell me you weren't trying to, by playing the "age" card you revealed your true intentions) you're welcome to PM me about it. But please... I've had enough of this.

@Matrix.dll

you must respect that an "old man" like me can take a break  ;)... I've been drawing for 5 years and needed a "break" ... well ... thank you very much for your comment, and I am happy by talk with real lisalovers or fans in this world..

my job has brought me great satisfaction, despite my young age, and I am very proud of my achievements, but for the same reason my drawings are of poorer quality .. (by time). ... .. (but Lisa live with me in my bedroom every day) ...

I am very glad that there are real artists like you, because art  in fact are the feelings, fantasies , dreams and desires  on a piece of paper .. (Or digital file) ... Good luck!

But my art is vanishing in a natural process, like everything in life ... But I will continue drawing once in a while ... I would like to publish my scribbles .. But some members of LTS don't like the scribbles of 5 minutes ...

Do not worry about the harsh comments or the attacks... G.H is a good guy (very young) ,but the real problem is my own acttitude,(I am a very proud guy), my mistake. ... Life will go but those who believe in the light of heaven will always be with happiness ... anyway, this is my thread ... ^^

well ... I think it will come back at draw a day in the future (maybe in the 2009)... or publish a comment from time to time ...

Post data: and thanks at Andreas, Marco, MP3 and you by the support... ^w^''

well se ya LTS!  :) and "draw freely" ok?

@G.H

hello GH... please understand the real message in the comment of matrix.dll..... (peace in the heart)...

I'm 16. You're 23. You're 7 years older than me. We're both "young", all right? I don't take kindly to being belittled by someone for something as trivial as this. I take it as an insult when you call me "very young" - it somehow indicates that I act immaturely or haven't had an experience with my life. In some circles calling someone young is a compliment, but under these circumstances I take it as an insult.

Serge or Marco, I'm asking now that you split this topic from Matrix's post and move the posts from 136 on to the archive... this topic has served its purpose and there is no point coming back to it.

You can not ask   to censor comments in my own thread, you have no right whatsoever ... I speak strongly

I speak with sincerity, because I do not like flamewars in my thread, but still less the censor in my own entries ... I have not insulted...

I don't know what to say...

You know I had those feelings for her too... once... I don't think you're a bad artist Gustavo. This whole pointless argument was never about that. I just don't like it when people act like elitists over something as trivial as "Well I'm older than you!" Yeah it's a valid point in some circles, but here... between us... it's not. Can't you see that?

I just want to put this behind us... it's unfortunate that the conflict sort of flared up again... but I blame myself mostly, simply because of the way I am... and tonight I'm in very sorry shape. Strung out, stressed, and most of all missing my love... I need to offer my apology here just for letting this get out of hand, as things always do when I'm involved...

Gentlemen, please...it pains me greatly to see such in-fighting here. :(

I am young as well, only 22. We all have unique experiences in our own lives. Things that no one, of any age, can share or understand. This is what makes us individuals and, ultimately, human.

I say this with the deepest respect for two of LTS's most established members.

Edit: It appears you have already declared a truce...I applaude such a peaceful resolution.

Thank you both! :)
