I'm not sure, but I guess it's a funny collage. :) Snailisa is from the third THOH, and "usual" Lisa could be from the Simpsons Comics. I don't remember her sitting in this pose and with this expression, in the show... :rolleyes:

*looks through KMS* Ah yes, that one. :) Yeah, it's some kind of collage I got from someone, and since it was quite funny indeed, I decided to put it on KMS as well. Hopefully, I'll find some time in the future to update the site again - there are so many great Lisa grab-pics out there, and I'd be glad to show them to the German community as well. :lisa:

Nice grab! Lisa looks charming, as always. :) Especially in the jacket with gentle down borders. Again, that's cleanly done.

First four ones. That's a great work! They are all of good-quality, a bit of excellence, my favourite - the one where Bart holding baby-Lisa under one's arm. Very touching and pure!

Second pack of grabs - I really long for "Looking at you" one. A stunning, loving moment you have chosen. And the shading is good too. The only flaw is that Lisa's hairs have the acute angles at bottoms of the triangles of her gentle "spikes". It would be looked much better with smoothing curves instead of simple corners since you used this one at peaks. But still the quality of you working is very skilled. I like all of them!

And the last one - The Meeting - very good too. Despite I don't like at all Slug-Lisa image. But how much the pose of "original" Lisa is good! Beautiful picture!

And here's some grabpics from me which have been made for last couple of months.
I hope those small works will be please to you. Most of them I did very long, even for the user with the some experience. So what I would to say? They all made with CorelDraw (that was tight!), except for the "Duff Beer...", which was made with Macromedia Flash. Take your piece of joy!
Practically that's all of my grabs. Maybe sometime I'll come to do some more.

Thanks for the reply :) I already told on ISFF that your grabs rule, and I'm telling this again. From this pack, my favorite one is "Margie and Her Sweet Little Child" - I'm sure everyone will like it! And "Watchin Happy Little Elves" is on the second place. Others are very nice, too, but these two are especially good. :lisa:

Last picture i remember seing somewhere. It always made me laugh somewhat that she wears bra like adult girl. :) In serial we never see her swimig in this kind of dressing, but she wears closed swimsuit. Nice chice for tracing and the execution itself. (hey, where's her tongue? :p) Previous one (made for an article) I like too, though Lisa there looks constrained a very little (just in my eyes :) ). But and this scan good.

You made so many scans and they turns out very good, qualitative works. From the last pack i like most of all the lisa172 (!) Little big Girl seems to be one of my favourite series in eighteen season) and bart63.
From previous i like the gary19 - simply good-looking scan, its color decision is pleasant to the eye. Lisa and Maggie again looks too similar here! :p
gary18 - i like it especially the adult Lisa :lisa: , she so "in body" here :) argh! And her and Maggie's hairdo's looks good consent with "initial representation"

A pair of new grabpics. First was done in photoshop and vector editor and it is my very fisrt using of such kind of stuff at drawing, previously only for editing, resize and such.  Second - purely in CorelDraw (it was pretty long you know...).

The second pic is great! Not even a pic, the whole scene :) (the moment is easily recognizable, too) and the quality is close to perfect. Very good job, Yggdrasill. The first pic is also nicely done, noticeable some nice work with the shadows and lights. It looks a bit blurred, but most of the Photoshop grabs look so. Sweet pics, thanks for sharing :lisa:

Come on, you do grabpics very well - better than many of the people I know, with some practice you could draw really well. Of course first pictures don't go well, but that's normal for everyone. You just have to try again and again. :)

Yeah, it's rare that I'll do Futurama grabpics and scenegrabs, I did that one because I had just finished framegrabbing Leela's Homeworld for a friend of mine who runs a Futurama site.

And I was also listening to Baby Love Child, which is the song played over the montage of Leela's life.

Ooh, I liked the "family1" grabpic! It's very well done... has the essence of the official production. :) Picture complexity and volume, smooth lines, shading - everything is there. Great one, probably one of the best I've ever seen.
Gary, did you make it from the very scratch? Don't take me wrong, but the circles are unusually round for your technique (also the lines are rather thick comparing to the ones you usually make), I was very surprized.

Unusual style :) I can't even call it a grabpic or a framegrab, it's too unusual. In fact, it different so much from the source so can be called an original picture, I think. Anyway, nice work! Reminds me of some of Beb's pics, for some reason :) Homer's expression is great, and Maggie looks adorable. Good job with the shadows, too.

I cant call it a grabpic or a scenegrab either. The colouring looks almost like watercolour paints, in a grabpic lines are more defined, and the colouring and shading are more solid, I'd really classify this as fanart even though it's traced from a Framegrab.

I'd definitely put this in the "fanart" category. Even if it comes from a scene, the amount of work and the huge differences in the coloring are enough to classify it as almost a different pic altogether :)

This said, wow! I really like this kind of coloring, it looks like a watercolor painting. the absence of outlines for the most part is what makes this pic lose its 2d-ness and step into 3d ground. it's incredibly difficult to do (talking by experience  :p ), so really my congratulations for an effort well done.
Oh, and you have chosen a very good scene to start with!  :maggie:

First is great, passionate, dynamic, but to my own surprise I like the second more. Calmly, a little sad (or curious) Lisa. And techically all perfect!

The first pic is awesome in his dinamism, Lisa's pose truly makes the soung audible even if you can't hear it. Her left leg seems to be awfully long, but that's of course not your mistake, and i like it anyway :D

First one is the best, Lisa's pose is very dynamic and despite the malformed right hand, I like her stance and closed eyes. Second is cute on its own way, although Lisa's proportions are little strange - she looks like she's younger there (or that was a mini-Liser version :p).

Great grabs! I love the first one, I always like shots of her playing the sax... and she looks so small in the second one. :p

The proportions of that second one are quite close to that Lisa design from Bart Gets an F that appeared in the Cutest Lisa Moment thread (I think it was grab-picced early in this thread too).   Very sweet!

My Second attempt at a Lisa Grabpic, You can have it for Lisa Pics if you want Suusje

1. don't have transparency. It's annoying, and wont show up well. Use a Program (that isnt MS Paint) and have that fill the background white. Also use GIF. That way plug ins aren't required for older browsers.

2. The lines are too thin. If you have to increase the size of the image a little, then do it. All mine have the largest dimension at 540. A width of about 2 or 3 will do.

3. The pearls do overlap each other, and they do go behind the neck. Include the two just going around the neck.

4. The Overbite seems a bit wrongly-shaped for my tastes.

5. The left sleeve has a flat line.

6. The lower jaw isnt right, it's a flat line then a bulge coming off it.

This should help out with what I mean.

I've seen many grabpics around (not necessary on this forum), your attempt is better than some of them. :)
I disagree about ALM's complaints about transparency, most of the browsers support it fully nowadays. And if someone is going to use your grabs for design (or other purposes), it would be much easier to use a picture with transparency than a picture on a solid white background. Been there, tried that. :p But I must point at one thing though. If you're making transparent picture, always look at it on another background, not only white, before posting, otherwise there is a risk you forgot to fill all the areas - see the attachment.
Aside from that, I like your work, it has some cuteness in it! ;)

Decided to try, so I made a grabpic of my avatar... finding the right colors and tracing that saxophone was bloody awkward and as a result, a pretty rough image. Also made attempts at shading, which consumed too much time so I'll just leave it like this -.-

It's not rough at all, it turned out nicely, maybe just a bit too big. But you chose sweet moment and right colors. The shading on her head also looks alright... I think it's very good for a beginner. Keep it up :)

Somehow I missed you grab. I think for beginner you've done it incredibly well, only few lines a bit too rough. But keep it up, more practice will polish it, I suppose.

Thanks. About Lisa's necklace - that's how it was on the original picture (although the quality wasn't good enough to judge), I guess from this POV her leftmost pearl should be behind her shoulder.

Cuteness in action :) I love the first grabpic. Lisa has an adorable pose there, and nice expression, like she's expecting something. I don't mind small pupils, it looks alright. The second one is nice too, although we don't see her sandals... but look how she folded her hands :)
From the technical size, both grabs are great, the antialiasing quality especially impresses me.

Nice grabpic, it is of good quality, and I like that old style of drawing Lis, it's more cute in some way than usual one. :) The chosen moment itself is quite troubled though, she understands that the main reason of her unhapiness is her father, it's not good.. Well, the older episodes always used to position her like mother-indulger, brother-botheress ( :) ) and almost no one else without her own personality, so what to speak about..

I still don't know how to treat this picture. It's an official drawing (DVD cover), and I would lie if I say I didn't like it, Lisa looks gorgeous there. But something is still wrong with it, maybe just a little bit... ;)

287 is a revamp of a grab I drew when I was switching from Paint Shop Pro to Flash but didn't have a backup file so I had to redraw it fresh and by then the numbering scheme was screwed. (it should really be lisa141)

fillmore1 - A Grabpic from a different show, Disney actually, called Fillmore. This is the title character. There's a style change I had to make for this one.

I remember watching Fillmore. It was really cool. It's kind of like that CSI show, but for kids.

It only lasted for 2 seasons-ish in like 2001-2002 on the Disney Channel. I spent a few days downloading the entire series as it was going at like 20 kb/sec :P

It could be an animation mistake of course (her head being too big comparing to her body), this is from recent episodes after all, but on that scene, it only makes her look cuter. That and her expression.

Yeah, everything in the scenegrab was there, except the album info which was in a few frames earlier. But I didnt want to draw that frame so I moved it. :P

@Dag: Hehe, that towel pic is too cute! The proportions are rather odd indeed, but if the animators drew her like this, then let it be. Nice work on the movie scene as well; if I had to nitpick, I'd say the lines should be a bit wider.

@ALM: Mhh, I still have to see that show, and although cartoons doesn't need to be 100% realistic, I really wonder how Marge and Homer could have been living in the 90's before their children were born - esp. since we learned that Lisa was born during the 1984 summer Olympics.

Thanks for your comments, booth of you. I am glad you like it. As you probably know, I have been doing quite a loot of grabpicks. But sometimes I find it a bit more challenging, and interesting, to make a complete scene, and make a few changes of my one.

vB isnt so bad. The admin panel is a mess though. IPB has the same problem, too many settings all over the place, some are even repeated, and you have to travel through several screens to change a path and such. I've not really looked at phpBB3 yet. I've always had strong feelings against phpBB mostly because of the crappy security in phpBB 2.

Lisa, as Millhouse looks at her, ten years older. The darker colors at the edges are tunnel vision coursed by rapidly rising blod pressure. 

Well made, the proportions are right, her skin (and hair) looks like velvet whereat her lips glisten..?! Is this a demonstration of Millhouses' view of her skin softness whereas her hair, pearl necklace, and lipstick "are out of place"...?  :confused: I like her hair and the tunnel vision is a nice idea.

I put in a small bit of texture to make it look a bit like something deferent then a normal grabpic. And I changed the necklace because I didn’t expect a girl to wear the same thing in (another) ten years.  :p

I think you misunderstand me, I meant - the pearl necklace is as far as "out of place" as it is velvety too, like her skin. So, this wouldn't completely fit with my previous question...  ;)

Ah, you are talking about that the pink colors in the lipstick and pearls don’t have the same pattern as the rest of Lisa.
Good catch, I didn’t notice, and it actually puzzles me a bit. The way I made it, they are supposed to. Got to look into it.

Your picture reminded me of when I used the "Emboss" filter on Lisa the first time... ;)
The picture is very well-made, good work, even if it's only a grabpic, you still did a great job with lines and colors. I have only two nitpicks: 1) lipstick (I personally think it makes Lisa look "cheap" even more effective than rings Marge mentioned once) and 2) because of that "emboss" effect, Lisa's pearls and dress look like being "pressed" into her body. It's not that noticeable, though.
And heh, that fire-like hair and devilish look makes Lisa look like a witch!

Leif knows the concerns I had about the pearls, as I posted them on MT2. That being their size.

As i mentioned Lisa is ten years older. Therefore I took the liberty of making her look more mature in several ways. She is clearly dressed to go to a party, as I don’t think Lisa would be the kind of woman to wear lipstick every day.   
And as for being a grabpic. As Gary points out, I have a habit of changing several things, so don’t blame Matt G for all of this.  :p

I wouldn’t expect this girl to act sensible right now.

My one and only nitpick: moire effect. I see it especially well on my new monitor since it shows each pixel of the image :) If you have PNG-24 version, please post it here, because the grab itself - is amazing! Great job with lines and colors, but you also added smooth shading, and managed to make it look very natural. I never succeeded in that. Good idea with background, too.

Here it is in PNG. (For the benefit of your new monitor.  :p)  You can usually find the PNG versions on my DA where i almost always upload PNG. It seams the easiest way to get at good pix there. It uses a loot of server space, but that is there problem.  :p
As for the background; it is actually a fractal.
