Title: Last Simpsons episode you watched
Post by: Suusje on November 27, 2006, 11:33
Yes, shamelessly ripped from NHC ;)

Post the last Simpsons episode you watched and grade it!

Some tiny rules to prevent this topic from turning into a mess:
  • Please give some feedback explaining why you liked or didn't like an episode. It doesn't have to be a long explanation as long as it isn't just some oneliner like 'This is the best episode ever!' or 'This episode sucks badly!'
  • If you've watched another episode and there haven't been posted any new replies since your last post, please just edit your last post.

I'll start...

Moe 'N' A Lisa: 4/5

It was a decent episode with some funny jokes. The only part I didn't like, was when Moe wouldn't give Lisa any credit for the poet she created for him. That made Lisa extremely sad. But in the end he apologized, so I guess it's still a happy end :p

Lard of the Dance

8.5/10.

Actually, quite a good episode. I liked the fact that Allison not only appeared, but talked again in this episode.

Treehouse of Horror XVII. I've heard very different responses about this episode - from gushing praise to really nasty bashing, and my curiosity won in the end. I've spend 30 Mb of my traffic downloading it, and don't regret about that. The episode wasn't brilliant (my greatest complaint is the excessive violence across the whole episode), but wasn't bad either, I liked all three stories, and some moments (for example, when Marge suggested to act like animals to save from the alien invasion) made me laugh out loud. :D Heh, that moment made me worry a bit... I subconsciously waited for Lisa to act the same - who knows what writers will decide this time, it's Halloween after all - but thankfully, that didn't happen. :p Again, the episode wasn't scary at all, and that's no good imho, but all three stories were developed properly. Plus, great intro. I grade this THOH 4/5.

P.S. I think Suusje's episode will be the next one I'll download ;)

Yes, I know that's funny, but last episode which I saw was "Jazzy And The Pussycats". I liked this episode. Later probably I going to write here what I wrote on Russian forum about this episode.

Ice Cream Of Margie (With The Light Blue Hair): 4.5/5

This was a suprisingly funny episode. Although it's another "Homer lost his job/marriage problems" episode, it has been done in a good way this time. It contained a lot of good jokes and a decent storyline. The only bad thing is that Marge learns a new skill way too fast. This seems to be a new trend in season 18 (it also happened in "Please Homer, Don't Hammer 'Em" and "Jazzy And The Pussycats"). But other than that it's a great episode.

This has been the best episode of season 18 so far :)

*Kick!* The last reply is from 30 november, so I thought I might as well bring some life back into this topic. :lisa:

The Wife Aquatic: 2.5/5

I like almost every Simpsons episode, but this one was so meh that it actually made it to my list of mediocre episodes. It has a disjointed plot, the whole episode feels like it's going way too fast and they used too much CGI animation (I personally do not like that). But it's not all bad. The characterisation is pretty good, except for Flanders' lines at the beginning, and the part where Lisa asks "Yum-Yum fish?" was incredibly cute. :lisa: But that doesn't make up for the bad parts of the episode...

I'm looking forward to the next new episode, which will air on January 28th. :)

Hmm letseee...
"Grade school Confidential", I watched a few nights ago :p

I'ld give it 3.5/5

Now, I don't think there's any season 8 episodes I greatly dislike, however, I felt that in comparison to other episodes, such as Hurricane Neddy, Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(do'h)cious..... it just doesn't match up, but a good episode overall.

However, the plot was very well errr plotted out :p  Fitted together nicely if that makes any sense, and the story itself was quite sweet, and I like how Skinner's character is shown as more independant from his mother here (unlike more recent episodes)

It also had quite a few good gags in it ( I espcially love Ralph's line :D but..I won't post it here ;) )

So yeah, not a bad episode :) Though guess I'm bias as in comparison to the new episodes, I prefer all the older ones :p
What I also prefer is the animation...not sure how to describe it os obviously, the quality wasn't as sharp and clean as it is today..but it seems more fluid, isn't rigid, and is somewhat easier on the eyes :p

A couple nights ago I watched again
Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment

...I'd give it a 3/5

Not quite the best episode I've seen, it had some good parts though, especially Rex Banner... ("Well, you all know what laughter sounds like!" :D) Although a few parts and things I didn't like, especially the bit where the whole family tells Lisa to go to her room, and she's not even given a chance to act. After that she only gets one more line in the entire episode. This was one case where I think the writers brought her in just to bash. Also, upon listening to the commentary, one person said that in the scene where Marge and Lisa confront Homer and Bart, Lisa's head is "inside" the square of an end table in the background... they said that "this is because Lisa is a square". I can think of many occasions where she acted very... un-squarish...

'Scuse me while I miss the sky
4/5
The last time I watched Simpsons it was on May 11. o.o (shame on me)

I enjoyed this episode, and it's in my top 10 list. It kinda sends a message that if there is something you desire, you should stop at no end to reach your goal. Plus, I enjoyed the meteor shower scenes at the end of the episode. But, I wish I knew the title of the song that played during then, I'd like to give it a download into my playlist.
Would anybody happen to know? ^^

According to ULOC's music reference list (much more up to date than the list on SNPP!) it's "Don McLean - Vincent" from 1972.

Lisa's Sax - 4,5/5

Wonderful episode. I've seen this one countless times now and it just doesn't stop being a great episode. I really like the story about Lisa's sax (and the music at the end of the episode ofcourse). Adding Abe was a bit pointless, but he provided some laughs.

It's definitely an episode you should watch if you haven't seen it yet! :)

The Secret War Of Lisa Simpson

Lisa becomes a real outcast in this episode, which is kind of sad. But Bart keeps supporting her, despite of losing the acceptance of the other kids that way. There are also some nice Lisa and Bart moments in this episode. It's not really a funny episode, but it's still a sweet one.

I saw yesterday evening

My Fair Laddy.

It's the last episode i saw of the simpsons (in proper cronological order), and i enjoyed it quite a bit, it made me laugh in quite a lot of occasions, and i really enjoyed that Willie got to be a primary character for once. His plot was developed very well, the songs were funny. Of course the part that worked well was Lisa's interaction with Willie and his struggle to gain a social status, do the first two acts of the episode. The final "revelation" and the inevitable "descent" that brings all the character back to normal was of course expected and predictable but still well done with some clever jokes there, too. All in all, it was throughly enjoyable! :)
The Hoemr subplot, frankly, i couldn't care less for. It was rather dull and poorly written except for when he was struggling to join the song. So that takes away a bit from the grading. :\

I'd give it a 3,5/5!

Ok...the last Simpson episode I watched was "Secrets of a Successful Marriage"

Quite a Homer/Marge relationship based episode which may have its sweet moments but also some quite bad moments from Homer...
Homer is however, naive about what he's doing is wrong for the impression of the reaction he gets from this, is that what he is doing is a good thing...and Homer not being the quickest of people...takes everything the wrong way and ends up making Marge  mad and upset...
For someone who is like me in a relationship, and/or has experienced any parent troubles at all,...the episode has a somewhat bigger impression on you....  but the ending is a happy one :)

I also love the animation style around these older seasons, as they have more character...
This episode includes many characters however a few seem a little out of place (Such as Smithers being in Homer's class however he was used for a joke purpose only really...)

I'll give it a 4/5, as it's probably a more emotion based rather than comedy based episode, but makes you think throughout...
I'm sorry if my review just confuses people though since, I'm not exactly one for explaining things clearly :red:

Don't think about it, for me your review is ok. :)

As for me - I saw yesterday's night the ep. called "Make Room for Lisa". What to say, that's classics for the whole Lisa-adorers :D

[description]Maybe domeone doesn't remember the plot, I say a pair words. Because of Homer's usual dumbness he's got to pay a lot of money to Smithsonian museum. The company of mobile-telephony takes his duties and for that he's obliged to deploy an aerial which is placed right in Lisa's room. The whole mess causes her to fall with a stonach-ache and the way out for her is finded - to stay some time in a special isolated capsule. And during such her self-exploration she realises that sometimes and she is not so good in dialogue and acts quite impatiently...[/description]

My opinion. The whole plot maybe not so great to make Lisa go for self-exploration (which is, I believe, one of the main points in the episode), but it work and it's quite funny (and logical at the end:) ). The personages are shown typically for middle-time episodes: Homer is definitely dumb and very self-confident and he looks so petty. Marge uses to be a typical heusewife, she's being interested with a gossips which she takes because of antenna in their house. And to be fair her plot with Bart was not so bad, especially in the end of a story (well, maybe that was pretty harsh she dealed with Milhouse)..

But the main character of the episode is Lisa and she showed in not great, then at least pretty well. She's indignant, close to be fair and, as it was in all classic middle-episodes, uses to be a 'keeper of the principles'. The scene when she doesn't understand Homer's fun (when the nasty animal-related incident was shown at TV) was some kind of _determinative_ for me. Men, it's so in her character, I simply fall in love again every time I see such powerful and true moments with her... She shows her wish for studying instead of stupid pastime which her father suggests to her. And that's another scene I adore so much (and to be fair she looks so cute when lying on her belly in the living room).

But the "second" part of the story, when both they have gone to the "Carmaceutics" shop was significant too. That little self research makes her to realise who she is and how calmly she must be with people who doesn't understand her (no matter becasue of what..). And final scene when she hugs her dad was really joyous.

That's a nice episode. - 4,2...4,4 of 5

Watched several days ago - 1F12 Lisa vs. Malibu Stacey

One of those good old episodes. I can't say I completely liked it, half of the plot was dedicated to Abe Simpson, and for some reason I look skeptically at jokes involving old people. But the main plot (Lisa creating her own doll, Lisa Lionheart) was very interesting. It had many great jokes, for example when Homer was demonstrating that rocket plaything to Maggie. :D But the ending was sad. Lisa has failed, her doll didn't become popular, thanks to the cheap advertising trick her competitors made. Smithers' behavior was especially annoying there - his yell in the end of the episode, in the shop, was the last thing that killed the Lisa Lionheart's success. If you collect dolls, you should understand which collectible is decent and which is just a cheap modification, and not just drag home everything with the "Malibu Stacey" mark on it. Anyway, Lisa's yet another attempt to make people around her a bit better, has failed.

And interesting moment: when Marge was calming Lisa down at the dinner table, she says "Now let's forget our troubles with a big bowl of strawberry ice cream" phrase. Right after that, Lisa shows that doll and makes her say exactly the same. But just before that scene, Lisa thrown her doll out, and she didn't have another one, second, Marge couldn't hear that phrase from the doll, and when she was young, there were no talking dolls yet. :)

I remember that scene, Dag. Very good and mind provoking episode! This is what I think: Malibu Stacy is clearly based on Barbie, even though all the dates don't match. Even if Marge didn't own a talking doll when she was a kid, (but why not, in the Simpsons' universe it could make sense that talking Malibu Stacy was produced earlier than talking Barbie!) she heard similar phrases from her mother, who was as we all know worse than Barbie and Malibu Stacy put together.  Barbie was invented by a woman that is Marge's mother's generation, and this kind of sexism was everyday food in the 50s. So the doll (Barbie and Malibu) was very much inspired by the times it was made in. Lisa expresses her anger towards this kind of outlook on life, not the doll itself. The episode was loosely based on an actual event that angered many women. From Wikipedia:

"Malibu Stacy is a parody of Barbie in the cartoon series The Simpsons. In the 1994 episode Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy, a talking Stacy doll is introduced, speaking phrases such as "let's buy make-up so the boys will like us". Lisa is disgusted by the "sexist drivel spouted by Malibu Stacy," leading her to market an alternative "Lisa Lionheart". The episode is based loosely on the controversy surrounding Teen Talk Barbie from 1992."

"In July 1992 Mattel released Teen Talk Barbie, which spoke a number of phrases including "Will we ever have enough clothes?", "I love shopping!", and "Wanna have a pizza party?" Each doll was programmed to say four out of 270 possible phrases, so that no two dolls were likely to be the same. One of these 270 phrases was "Math class is tough!" Although only about 1.5% of all the dolls sold said the phrase, it led to criticism from the American Association of University Women. In October 1992 Mattel announced that Teen Talk Barbie would no longer say the phrase, and offered a swap to anyone who owned the doll."

I read the whole article, it is so mind-boggling and downright disturbing. That doll has brainwashed many little girls. If you have a little sister that owns Barbie, Brats or something equally worrying, please burn it and replace with a music instrument!!!  :D  :p  ;)

Here's the article for those interested in what (among other things) ruined womens revolution: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbie

The first segment was just hilarious, and I loved the second one. I liked the idea of Marge being a hitman. She was also really sexy in that black dress. (I admit, I have a small crush on marge as well, but it is no where near how I love Lisa) The third one was funny, but I was so ashamed of Lisa being subjected to such torture, all she has ever done is good. :(

The Separate Vocations

The episode in perfection showing that people of uncommon mind can try oneselves the mask of hooligans with ease. And they'll act on this time not less professionally than the hooligans themselves. This, by the way, suggests me an idea that not all who badly went to school - is stupid. There are different scopes of intelligence and everyone considers by itself on what way to follow in a life. I am not surprised that Lisa suddenly became "the bad girl", all of us perfectly saw, that it has been caused. I'm not consider that it is something bad, everyone has the moments of weakness, when you are simply knocked down. However, I have understood for myself once again one of the main ideas of this episode. If the person is really clever and has already proved itself as "the positive person", other people will help it when he will stumble. As it did Bart for Lisa - she has not had time to open mouth as he already interceded for her, taking all fault on himself.

I connect another intersting moment with definition of future destiny of Lisa. To be honest, I'm not so sure that the fate of housewife is so bad and unachievable to her. Remember what said Declan Desmond in "'Scuse Me While I Miss the Sky"? That Lisa is something like smorgasbord (or something such :red: - I don't have the original text) That can do for her a bad turn when it came to choose the future vocation, don't you think so? Will she become an scientist-environmentalist, the office employee, the teacher in junior grades or someone else? Still, I think positively she'll be a president in future. :)

Moe'N'a Lisa

A great episode, it has many hilarious moments, I especially loved the J Jonah Jameson parody. but, it has many emotional Lisa moments. I can't get over how saddening it is when I see her crying after Moe crosses her. When she is crying with the wagon passing by, and when she is sitting sad on the bench, tossing bread in the water, I just wanted to jump into the TV and give her a big hug. I felt so sorry for her, but it it still has its fair share of cute, precious Lisa moments, and is a must watch for any Lisa lover. 4/5

Agreed about the episode being deep and interesting, also showing Lisa from quite an unusual side. Why she was upset about her predicted future so much? I have a weird idea that it wasn't Marge way of living what made Lisa so angry, but maybe her reality was, i.e. being married to a man like Homer, spend most of the time fulfilling his wishes and dealing with his antics, etc. Maybe that was that kind of fate that Lisa was seeing in her nightmares.
I personally also think that being a housewife isn't something bad or worthless, but I can understand Lisa if she's dreaming about more.

Firstly I was about to watch the old good one "Lisa's Substitute". But because of....em "strange" dvd-disc partitioning I just come to "Bart's Dog Gets an F" instead.

This episode has two main plots that rather interlace each other. The Lisa' one includes her falling ill with a mumphs. So she's about not to going at school some time. And through this unoccupied time Marge suggests her a new pastime. It's a needlework that turned to be an Bouvier's family quilt. This is a kind of family value of Simpsons and Marge shows Lisa how to do something really nice with only needle and a colour sewings at the hand. So then, after the events of Bart/SLH plot, this rug has been destroyed by silly dog and all the artwork is irrevocably gone. And that turns Marge finally to Homer's side. Since now SLH is about to be hanged over to a local businessman, who's employment ranges dog's area.

Here I would like to focus your attention at the interesting fact. When Bart starts crying and asking Homer for not to send SLH at "dog farm", he meets a strong refusial from his father. And that's a kind of freaky moments in this whole episode. Still Homer's heart are always (almost) opened to Lisa's reasons. And when she speaks him: "Are you trying to teach us that the way to solve a problem with something we love is to throw it away?" that was a perfect evidence whose voice he'd prefet to listen more. Still Homer is not the one who will listen someone, but this time he really did that and I was surprised a little. :)

This very episode is the one of the first where Lisa acts like a voice of rightness. Her character raised in a pretty big rate and even she has a definitely child' sides, she becomes that one who we adore so much now.

At the close I would like to mention how nicely she did inspired her mother with a new quilt, only started. But Lisa says that to be a chain link means being not only an end of something, but and the beginnig of something another. I believe Lisa is such a beginning, not in common case, but in some...spiritual, a sacred meaning. For me she's like a seed that will bring some... new life in this world. Be it she herself, or it will be her future children, or her great dids that she's about to do. And there's no escape from this destiny for her. :)

Treehouse of Horror XVIII (the latest one so far).
Enjoyed it, although the third story passed very abruptly (thus I didn't understand most of the dialogs). Flanders explaining Bart and Lisa about the Lust sin - that's definitely something new :red: :D Oh well.
The first story was probably the best one in the episode, although a bit predictable. Nice jokes ("I cannot believe that an alien who looked so evil has turned out to be bad!"), funny scene between Kodos and Homer in the bathroom (btw, does anyone remember that according to the very first THOH, Kodos is a female?), Marge welcoming the "jewish", the scene with fooling Bart and Lisa, etc. Not a bad story at all. :)
The second story was quite decent too. *LOL* at the "call from an anonymous neighboreeno".
About the third story see above ;)

I watched tonights episode. I don't know the name, but it is the one where Lisa files a restraining order of 20 (eventually 200) feet against Bart. It is nice to see Bart suffer instead of Lisa for once, but I really like that she forgave him, something that Bart doesn't often do (though Lisa doesn't torture Bart much...much).

"On A Clear Day I Can't See My Sister". It's a nice ep. :)

DABF14, "The Sweetest Apu". Just finished watching it. :)

The episode itself wasn't something awesome, but it was original, featured Apu and Manjula again (I like those characters), and had nice jokes. It also had one very funny and cute moment in it - when Marge wanted to convince Apu and Manjula to live in peace, she asked Bart, Lisa and Maggie to play Ganesh. It was a cardboard, elephant-looking box with Bart inside, and Lisa and Maggie behind him, waving hands altogether. :D Of course Bart and Lisa disagreed about something, started to fight right in that box, and fell apart, then Maggie crawled away, wearing that box on her head. lol...

MARGE: Look, it's this thing!
BART: I am Ganesh! I vant to suck your blood bleh! bleh!

For me, it's KABF04 - That 90's Show, The only thing I will say was that Marge looked hawt! :P

Watched "That 90's Show" the other day, and didn't like it one bit. Not only was it the first episode to blatantly disregard the chronological timeline established in earlier episodes, it was also chock-full of old reuse-reduce-'n'-recycle plot material: Marge falling for some rugged guy, breaking up with Homer, and finally Homer winning her back with a song -_- (way to inbreed "Brake My Wife Please", "Bonfire of the Manatees", "Homer Simpson, This Is Your Wife" etc., FOX!). Homer's uninspired "Sadgasm" wailing was painful to the ear, and his Cobain-esque act smelled nothing like teen spirit. Even Weird Al's cameo couldn't save this train wreck.

I do have to say the "Back to the Future" and "Sonic Sez" references made for a legit source of lulz.

For me, it's KABF04 - That 90's Show, The only thing I will say was that Marge looked hawt! :P

Quoted for Truth :3

2F15 Lisa's Wedding. It's funny how fast the time goes away... the year 2010 when Lisa's future life is shown in this episode, is just two years away. Lisa should be grownup long ago, but she keeps being eight :p Still, it's one of my favorite episodes, I can't count how many times I watched it. From all Simpsons episodes about future, this one also was the most consistent and good characterization-wise. Lisa looked like Lisa there, not like a victim of the plot. ;) My favorite quote:

HUGH: You've so thoroughly prepared me for the worst. As long as they're not squatting in a ditch poking berries up their noses...
LISA: *worried* And if they are?

:D
Hugh was a very interesting character too; although I'm not sure if they could be actually together, it's still sad that Lisa and Hugh couldn't do it and left each other in the end. So it's more a sad story than funny, but like any Simpsons episode, it still had many moments where I was laughing. If I could rate this ep, I'd give it 10/10.

Ah, Lisa's Wedding... this has always been among my favorites. It really has a lot of great moments, both funny and tender, especially the ending.

Lisa's Wedding has to be my favorite episode. it is so heartbreaking when she is abandoned at the alter.

Lisa isn't actually abandoned at the altar. She found out that Hugh was going to keep her from seeing her family ever again and realised that he just wasn't right for her. So, she left him, and gave her ring back, which I think was a nice touch because it shows that she was so heart broken she didn't want to remember him. I have that episode on DVD and it is one of my favourites too.

Love, Springfieldian style.

I liked it, but I hated the Sex Pistols story. I found it dumb and shameful to one of the greatest bands in rock music history.

And I found it sickening as how they portrayed my beloved Lisa as a drug addict. What were they on when then came up with this and thought it was good?

So true... The third part of the episode was really bad. The story didn't make much sense, either. I mean, Lisa and Nelson taking drugs?

The first and second part were pretty good, though (Lisa dogs! ^^)

I haven't seen this episode, but the idea of making Lisa into a drug-addict sounds way out of character. Nelson maybe not so much... :P

Well, it's Bart telling the story, so with him, anything can happen. :P

The best part was when Nancy (Lisa) tells Sid (Nelson) to bang his head on the wall. :)
I never forget that episode. :D

I've watched "Deep Space Homer" on TV this morning, and going to watch it again at 9 PM :). It's quite funny, i remember random funny moment when Lisa was reading a poem to her father wathcing him going to space on TV, and then everybody wandered and looked at Lisa, and she said "...Go Father!" :) 9/10

The last episode I've watched was today! Another record for me!! Hooray! It was the "I'm Spelling As Fast As I Can"

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it: 8.5/10

The only part I thought was funny, was the part when Homer finds the new burguer: The Ribwich. Oh and of course the part when Homer eats Ribwich after Ribwich after Ribwich! :gigi:

The last episode I watched was the one where Homer is offered a job at Globex Corporation.
I find it really clever the way that when they finally earn a lot of money and live in a nice house in a nice town with a nice school, that style of living just doesn't agree with them. They all want to go back to Springfield for one reason or another. I just thought that was a nice touch...

I love how they characterised the "baddy" though, Hank Scorpio

Got the urge to re-watch it all now :P

Okay, I didnt watch the episode, but I saw it on Sky One and... I just couldnt force myself to watch it. It was the one where Lisa gets bullied and invents the bully repellant.

Its not the bullying itself that turned me away, its just the hideousness of the whole plot, I mean... 'bully repellant'..?

*turns over the Family Guy*

Heh! This is, actualy pretty good...!

Indeed, worst Lisa episode ever.  :(  It's been a while since I watched the Simpsons, the last one has been the S19 finale, I think, which was decent, but not exactly good as well.

It was CABF11 Bye Bye Nerdie.
I agree, the episode wasn't too good, but... "worst Lisa episode ever"? I can remember much worse episodes involving Lisa as main character. The Simpsons isn't Futurama; it never claimed to be scientific, so things like "repellent against hooligans" appear there from time to time.
The only thing I didn't like episode is black eye Lisa gets there; but after watching "Girls Just Want to Have Sums" I started looking calmer on that. :) In fact, that was the last Simpsons episode I watched, and I liked it a lot!
And FG is one big sh*t :-P

The last ep I watched was Lisa the Vegetarian. I love those prediction scenes.
first one: They don't have to throw it into my face. *lisa gets hit by burger*
2nd one: Comics are just for fun. You know like people getting hurt and stuff. *bart gets hit by door*
3rd one: I will pay [...]. When pigs fly! *pig flies in front of them*
and of course BYOBBBBQ.

The other day they had a Lisa double-shot during the usual 5PM block.

First up was:

She of Little Faith

To be honest I haven't seen this episode since it premiered and I am sorely disappointed in myself. This is a fantastic episode! I give it 5/5, and it goes onto my top 10 list for Lisa episodes. The interplay between Lisa and the rest of the family, especially as they try to bribe her back to Christianity hits so close to home it hurts. I too have become rather disillusioned with the religion forced upon me in early childhood, finding alot of the same issues with it that Lisa does with her own. I haven't made the leap to buddism quite yet, but I may have to take a closer look at its message.

That soul-crushing moment when even Maggie joins the fray and Lisa sees Lovejoy in the background saying 'Lick it... lick it...' was so good I could have sworn I was watching an episode from the first 5 seasons or so. But it ended nicely and when Lisa starts asking for the pony, Clip-clop, I couldn't stop laughing.

This was followed shortly by another episode I haven't seen in years...

Bye Bye Nerdie

Another fantastic episode, it gets 4.5/5. The thing that struck me about this episode is, it is one of the few possible situations where they can portray Lisa as the object of bullying and not outrage the crowd beyond reason. Making the bully a girl as well was a good move. The animation in this one was very peculiar, the shot to Lisa's face in particular almost looked as smooth as the movie, and when Francine throws her into the locker the expression on her face is so realistic... all in all a fantastic episode, as I already said. The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is my sympathies towards Lisa. (I squirmed when she kept getting beat up...)

Oh, and that little scene with Nelson and the bullies? *as Krabbaple* Hah! Perfect! The scene that followed it shortly was really funny, where Lisa swabs Dreadrick Tatum with the nerd sweat and Nelson couldn't stop himself from punching the large man and eventually giving him a wedgie.

Nelson- "No! I'm sooo sorry! Please don't hit me!"

Tatum- "You leave me little recourse."

That episodes are really great. The last one I watched was Lisa's Sax... in german.
I couldn't stop laughing at the last scene, when Lisa reads the text on her new saxophone: "...may you have many more years of D'oh!" becaus in german the structure of the sentence is different: "...mögest du viele weitere Jahre von Nein! haben." and Nein! is the translation of D'oh!. So when she says "Nein!" it looks like she says "of" and when she says "haben." (have) she does the stretch-mouth.
Of course it's a great story, and a past episode, so I give it 10/10.
