Lisa, the Simpson!

I got this idea after watching the Simpsons episode "Husbands and Knives" being reran on FOX. In the episode, Marge starts her own gym because she feels that she is too fat. Thus, I created this poll.

So, do you find Marge to be physically attractive? I personally do, especially when her hair is wet down.

Kind of... I am not really attracted to her... but she is very nice to looking at:

Physically: yes. She was created by the writers to be the typical housewife/mother who could be extremely sexy when she felt like it. So they had to give her a good body. I think it's pretty apparent, especially when her hair is down.

That said, I'm not attracted to her; I wouldn't marry her or fall in love with her or anything like that. Her personality is just so... eh... well, to answer the question at hand: Yes. Attractive, not attracted. ;)

I think that Marge looks beautiful with her hair down - I'm not that much of a fan of the pic CargoOfDarkness posted, actually, but I like other occasions where we have seen her that way. Her usual hairdo looks kinda weird, though. As for the physical attraction, maybe so (at least with her hair down), but I also don't think I'd fall in love with her (and after all, I'm already in love with Lisa, so... ;) ).

I think Marge is the perfect example of how, in the running of the show, the writers/producers realized that they needed something "catchy" to keep the audience interested in the shallow stories, and they went with the easiest way possible. By making a character like Marge turn from "meh" to "hot". Now maybe i'm wrong, but to me, the "awakening" of Marge as a sexually attractive woman goes step by step with the most disappointing seasons, culminating in the episodes that made me completely lose my "faith" in Simpsons ( namely, Large Marge and Strong Arms of the Ma). A very hard blow that i'm still not over yet.

But to stay in topic: Yes, Marge is very attractive, phisically speaking, and yes, especially with her weird hair down she looks more of one of those sexy moms from the world of mangas. But it's been a change that's been forced upon the show to freshen it with old tricks.
Not that i complain, after all.  :o

I find Marge interesting and sometimes challenging from a grabpicks artists point of view. Marge in he 19 year old green dress is pretty much standard.
But as mentioned in this tread, she can change into a much more female person.  ;) This gives the possibilities of doing some modifications to the original grabs.
With he hair down and more female figure she becomes more, as asked, physically attractive. (IMO you don’t have to exaggerate.)

I agrea that Marge has changed during the years. But I think that the relationship between Marge and Homer has always been an important part of the show.

I do think that her hair really does play into the writer's   idea of making her "multidimensional". With her hair up, she just looks like the general cartoonish housewife, while on the special occasions when she does let her hair down, she shows the beautiful woman she really is.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Yeah, no one beats Marge with her hair down! :p

But let me add two more things:
1) With her weird hairdo kept by Jenson's water seal Marge can be sexy, too.  What about her "lovey-dovey" look? The way how she looks on Homer, oh, that's incredible, how they operate with her face expression.
2) I really don't think Marge was made attractive just for fanservice, for something, as Marco said, "catchy".
Yep, they made some exaggeration enlargening Marge's... uhm... women parts, but in other cases it's part of her unique character. I admire very much her ability to stay tidy, beautiful, attractive for so many years, even with such man as Homer. She could become lazy ugly fat chick, like her sisters (in one episode they went to barbershop together, and oh boy, Patty and Selma aren't so ugly, they just don't bother very much about themselves). But she loves Homer, she respects herself, she is a grownup healthy woman and her sexual interest is an integral part of her.

About situation you've mentioned with Marge being too fat, I was impressed more not with that moment, when she compared herself with the cardboard woman, but the one in "Large Marge", when Manjula grabs a big fold on Marge's belly :D But still, I don't think Marge's figure and her ability to be sex appealing are related that much. Plump women can be attractive, too. But it's important, that she likes her usual figure and she cares. She'd say "Oh, what's the point. I'll start a diet someday, later", but no, she really cares about herself, on a daily basis.

That is exactly how I like to see Marge. 

Yes, I do. At least to the Springfield merits, she looks very attractive, regardless of her hairstyle. Homer is such a lucky guy ;) In her youth, Marge also looked very pretty, remember her days in the high school. Although, when I watched the Simpsons the first time, I doubt I could predict I would ever say that about a character with huge eyes and overbite. :D

Hmm... Not really. I mean she's good looking but you cant exactly put that down to using the correct skin care product. Its just that the faces arnt detailed enough.

I guess I just dont really find her as a person, physicaly or mentaly the sort of person I'd fall for, even in her teen years. Guess me and Homer just dont see eye to eye. :P

No, I dont find her attractive, I do think she is much better looking with her hair down, but wouldnt be perving really. Besides, shes too good a mother to have someone perving her. Nice lady though.
