Title: Wall E - The Buy N Large Company
Post by: CargoOfDarkness on December 27, 2007, 21:48
Next year, Pixar will entertain us with the new movie "Wall-E". After seeing the trailer I find it very interisting.
BUT, that is not all, I found out more...

Than I saw that special trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slnR1GjoDRk&feature=related)...

And than I found out that there is acutally a page about that fictionary company: www.buynlarge.com (http://www.buynlarge.com/)
You will notice the amusing terms of conditions and all those satiric news and products... Those guys created a very entertaining teaser-project. I can?t wait to see this movie.  :D

Waddaya think?

Well... I saw the movie and it hit me straight into my heart!

I just can say, it is the one of the 3 best movie I have ever seen in movie cinema (right after Dead Poet Society and Le fabuleux destin d'Am?lie).

The one who has not watched it, yet - missed something. The one who will not have to fight with tears - has no heart.

Wall-E is now in an equal (=) position with Lisa Simpson in my heart...

Haven't seen this one yet, but look forward to. I always like to see a cartoon with the original idea...

Why? How you can compare a movie with a person?

He's talking about the cute robot character Wall-E ;) Which the film is named after :)
It is indeed a cute, heart warming film.  I would recommend it to those who havn't watched it yet ^_^

Haven't seen it yet, but I've heard nothing but good things.

I think he's simply saying the character touched him in much the same way Lisa has, it doesn't matter if it's a CGI robot. Afterall: Lisa= Fictional character & Wall-E= Fictional character. ;)

I'll probably catch it here soon.

I see now. Hope that's also what Cargo meant :p Still, it's hard to believe that a robot-like character in 1,5 hours can produce the same impression as a human person like Lisa during many many wonderful episodes. Those are just incomparable things IMHO...
Besides, weren't there also a second main character, Wall-E's second half and passion (forgot her name)? ;)

Yes, it is like CalculatedChaos said! :)

Well, you have not seen the movie - I give the great minds from Pixar-Animation more skill than the Simpsons creators.
But you might be right, they are not meant to be compared, Lisa and Wall-E, but they are meant to be my favorite imaginary characters of all time.

By the way, Wall-E?s mate is Eva - she is not much of a deep character... but she is so vivacious like my own creation LunaStarshine and that is also a plus why I love this movie so much.

I gotta say Wall-E was a fantastic film. What made it even more special is that they conveyed the emotions and feelings in the film without words.

Pixar did a fantastic job of displaying emotions and actions. The scenes were beutifully created and the characters themselves were fantastic. Wall-E and Eve (or Eeev-a as Wall-E pronounced it with his motors) worked fantastic together and as black_rven said, it is a cute and heart warming film. I too liked Wall-E immensely, his personality melted hearts, including Eve's.

I can see how people can come to like Wall-E a lot.

I liked Wall-E also due to the similarities in look and inquisitive personality to another famous robot, Johnny 5 in Short Circuit films (incidently being remade next year), Both different characters but both loveable.
