Lisa, the Simpson!

We've always talked about our most beloved, our most favorites.  Just out of curiosity, we have to have something or someone we just cannot stand to see or hear on the show.  For me, say, LET ME THINK......  Come on Lisa give me qa sec!. :)   I'd say, The yesssssss guy.  Who would yours be?

I dont really perticulalrly dislike any of the characters, but if i were to say my least favourite I would probably say Bumblebee Man. Some of the times he pops up I find annoying and disturbs how the plot rolls.

I downright *hate* the Texan guy (the one that goes Hyppee, and fires his guns). It's the perfect example of a stereotype that 1) no one felt the need of 2) is very poorly and easily thought, it has no redeeming features to it, there's no clevenress behind his character, it's like having a person explaining you a joke before telling it to you. Bleh.

Other than that I don't really dislike any of the other characters. They all fit in somehow.

I never liked Gil. He's just a not funny version of Hans Moleman.

I never liked Gil either. He's the jittery, nervous, financially unstable guy who never does anything funny. He's just annoying. Other than that I can't think of anyone right now. But I'm sure if you were to mention a character I hate, like AP did, I'd let you know...

I don't know why I forgot about old Gil.  He sucks in terms of entertaining and in terms of how the character is, well, he is totally a  "#"@*$%"  lol.  Really, he is by far the worst in my book too, boring, absurd, unintellegent, stupid, *fill out the rest* (all negative things that you can think of.  To think that Crazy-Cat lady is for me far better than this guy is just says it all.

I don't really hate anyone in the Simpsons, every character is very important (especially in the earlier seasons, when they were doing a really nice job by using secondary characters on purpose and in the most fitting situation). But I have a small exception... Fatty and Smelma. I don't hate them either, but dislike - yeah. They utterly hate Homer and spent so much efforts to humiliate him and/or to break apart the Simpsons family. I'm not too fond in Homer, but no matter how childish his actions are sometimes, he still truly loves Marge and all kids.

In the 7G08 "Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire" (the first Simpsons episode!!), Patty and Selma managed to humiliate Homer in front of little Lisa. She even had to ask them to tone down a bit... but of course they didn't take Lisa's words seriously. Too bad...

I'd have to agree with the majority. Gil. Is. ANNOYING. Especially since he sounds so paranoid and is always shaky, like there's a hungry cougar after him.

Not for the fact that he doesnt belong, because he does belong all too well, but I despise Nelson and the bullies. I know people like that in real life, and in all honesty, believe that bullies are a pest to all humanity, and deserve to be bullied back. I know I do ^u^. You would be suprised how easily bullies run from the right words. Carrying unusual weaponry helps to ^u^, Im somewhat of an expert, mallets are suprisingly effective, and a twitch can destroy morale, as crazy people are dangerous people.... Sorry, began lecturing again XD

But Nelson for sure, nasty piece of work, Im also not fond of Flanders. People who destroy the fun of childhood like that deserve to be slapped by god, rather than thanked.

Helen Lovejoy.  So irritating!  Quick to enforce the prohibition law whwn it was reintroduced, yet no remorse for her actions when it was discovered the law was repealed

gil - I mostly agree with the moleman argument...
but if I would write now that all characters are some kind of a role in there, the 'Simpsons: real or not' discussion would start again. From the other point of view (simpsons are real) there would be a lot more charas I'd dislike.

hmmm... maybe Bart, me no like the acttitude of this guy... is a bit "cargante"...

I dont like Gil. He is just too sad to bee funny. And Crazy Cat Woman. The way she treats her cats clearly shows she don’t care for cats.

Fat Comic Book Guy. I'm still not sure about his name, in one episode we have one version, in another episode we have different one... the guy surely has a brain damage, being so sarcastic and arrogant to everyone around. For that reason, he doesn't have any friends and still alone in his life. I never liked people who think they are better than the others in everything - and the more such people I meet, the more I'm sure they are wrong :p Sometimes such attitude turns out to be just a silly way to cover their own ignorance, and after knowing them for some time you become greatly disappointed.

I dont think its a simple answer really. Some characters are designed to be annoying, and all of them have a moment somewhere. I like Crazy Cat Lady and even Gil in some parts.

I think a character to truely dislike would be so boring that they wouldnt be noticed really. Either that or evil successful, but everyones gotta like Burns one way or another. :P

Helen Lovejoy can be annoying at times too. The whole neighborhood gossip shit really doesn't fly with me, it just disgusts me, and she's always coming up with more offensive things to say. In one episode (I think it was "Marge In Chains", although my memory isn't what it used to be), she claimed that Marge had a drinking problem when she obviously didn't. But of course Helen lied to make her look worse.

There are a lot of Simpsons characters I don´t like, most of them are one-timer. None of them are from the cast of season 1-8... because there where just good characters. Later seasons brought a lot of stupid characters. Some of them are idiotic Gil, Texas man and Lindsey Neagle...

I wonder how someone is able to not like Milhouse Van Houten and Mindy Simmons? O.o

Lindsey Neagle and Helen Lovejoy however...*shudder* though out of the two I'd say Lindsey is worse...though as said, her function is MEANT to be annoying, a not so nice character, yet, I feel sometimes the show could do without her....Although she does add to some plots, most of the time whilst watching it, I just want her to go away!....

As for annoying characters overall, do like some...I miss Troy McClure!! :(

Milhouse is a looser. He is sometimes stupid and annoying. But he has many times had an important role to play in the plot. He is newer put completely down.
He has his moments when he is smarter then you expect. Like in “Bart sell his soul.” Milhouse is an important part of that story, and momentarily he actually gets the upper hand on Bart.
I wouldn’t like him to leave.

but Troy McClure  is a star  in the world! with a lot of good films.. (i remenber somes classic's  in spanish)   :gigi:

Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz are probably the two characters I miss the most... really too bad about Phil Hartman.

True, I miss them too. I wonder if it's so hard to replace Phil Hartman's voice with a similar one, to at least bring back to life his characters.
Also, I was a big hater of Mod Flanders once, but weird thing - after seeing her dead in the show I started even missing her nowadays. She wasn't too bad character.
This would be never applied to Comic Book Guy, of course ;)

I believe they retired the characters out of respect for Hartman's memory... which is disappointing since I always enjoyed them, however I can understand the reasoning behind it.

About Maude Flanders... eh, I guess you just get used to somebody.

True but then they paid tribute to him in Futurama (Phillip J Fry, and Zapp Brannigan ;))
Maude ...weelll....she never really made much of an impact on me at first either, only did so when she died out of pity for Flanders mostly, there's times in the newer episodes I wish she would be back but only to to keep Ned company :( (Cartoon characters or not, came to like the Flanders more as time went on, Ned really shined in the movie)

I'm not awfully fond of Maude Flanders, and I'm not sure we were supposed to be. She seems too smug and judgemental to be as likeable as Ned.
