Lisa, the Simpson!

What do you think was Lisa's cutest moment in the span of the entire show? I think it was the second time she was walking through the forest in the episode "You only move twice".

The most cute Lisa moment to me was when Bart has seen her the first time... it was the "Lisa's First Word" episode, the moment when Marge was holding newborn baby Lisa in her arms... and the sunshine that was making the whole scene almost surreal and magic. Beautiful moment, though Bart almost spoiled it afterwards. :p

Oh, yeah. Almost forgot about that. That certainly was cute.

I think the scene from 'Lisas Rival', during the flashbacks, where Barts helps Lisa steal from the cookie jar  :p

Another very cute moment was when Lisa was kissing Bart on the roof of the Simpsons' house.

When I first saw this topic, I instantly thought of the "Lisa on Ice" moment, with the flashbacks and hugging Bart, always thought that moment was very sweet ^_^

I agree the animation looked so much better/cooler/more awesome in the early seasons. The animations look a lot crisper and cleaner these days, but they miss the feeling that the old episodes had...

When I read Casper' message I already knew about what the stage I'll write here. But you have outstripped me in following message!
And now I have to recollect something else.

Let it will be the moment from "Moaning Lisa" (it is my most favorite old episode!). When Simpsons with its full complement are sitting at the "Jazz-hole" and listening to music by Murphy. Lisa widely smiles and looks so delighted, she simply blossoms. :)
And one more moment from that same episode which is means a lot for me. That's the moment in car when Marge said to Lisa very important words:
"Always be yourself. If you want to be sad, honey, be sad. And when you get finished feeling sad, we'll still be there. From now on, let me do the smiling for both of us."
The ingenious moment! And Lisa...her smile is capable to disseminate dark clouds during such instant. :)
And I love very much the old episodes, like some people here. It was outstanding! The times when Lisa's soul yet was not "befogged" with all new ideas like buddism or vegetarianism, when she was JUST a girl.

Oh, that is easy!

The cutest Lisa moment was in "Springfield Connection" when Lisa asked her mother how she defended herselfe against Snake. Than she make an example and pulles down Bart and he cannot resist. And than Lisa is giggling. I love that scene so much.  :lisa:

Though not the cutest of them all, I like how Lisa giggles as Bart sticks a mail stamp on her nose and pushes her into the mailbox in "Lisa's First Word". :D

And the cutest, I think, is when Lisa says, "David Hasselhoff" in that voice. It was so adorable! :lisa:

Well, Marco suggested the same just a post above, so if you both are interested in the idea (nice one, I must say), it makes sense to co-operate and to make such a videoclip together.

Is suggest Beethovens "Für Elise" as music for the video. Okay, that is not a very "cute" melodie, so I will also add some *intelligent* Lisa moments.

The music clip is a cool idea, if people are prepared to collaborate on it I think that would be even nicer.   If they don't, it would be interesting to see a few different versions...sooo...yeah, either way is good!  :)
If anyone's interested in using some original music, I might be able to put something together, though you'd have to bear in mind that my taste in music is probably very  different from everyone else's....and I'm not a great musician...  :(   

I make and edit skateboarding videos all the time so, I guess its no real problem for me but, in saying that I have 0 episodes on my computer, and 4 seasons on DVD.

I guess I'm not really a Simpsons 'fanatic'  :confused:

I made a music video of a game me and my friends made up called "Reindeer Roadkill". [The object of the game was to run through the center of a swingset full of people swinging, and trying not to get hit.] Anyway, I put it to the Green Day song "American Idiot". Of course we would use a different song for the Lisa video. [Everyone who wants to be a part of this, talk to me or Marco on the PM system, or ICQ.

For me it is the scene in Lisa's Wedding with Homer.

That scene was cute. I like the scene at the end better, when Lisa and Homer really bonded and she was proud of her father.

I personally found this moment from "Lisa's Pony" very cute, too. It's better to see the whole scene, not only a single screenshot... but just look at it and compare Lisa's and Homer's fingers!
I believe most of us here wouldn't mind being on Homer's place that moment... ;)

Homer apparently has huge hands (We call huge hands 'kolenschoppen' in the Netherlands. It means 'coal shovels' :p)...

ametur_poet, there are so many sweet moments with  :lisa:, especially those concerning her relationship with Homer. (Lost Our Lisa, Lisa the Vegetarian...) She can be so serious, sarcastic, reasonable and responsible, and that's all important for her character. But to me the sweetest moments are when Lisa does something contrary and childlike that reminds us that she's just an 8 year old, and very innoncent. I like her passion for ponies, which is such a typical thing for a little girl.  (i remember those days  :) ) Or when she falls in love with her substitute teacher, in desperate need for a strong male role model (in the same episode, she's embarrassed of her dad, just like any kid would be). I also thought it was so sweet and funny when she got drunk in Italy; because that’s one of those rare moments where she could be silly and careless.

There's one specific scene I remember, but can't quite recall what episode it is. I remember Lisa saying "I want a lollipop too" in such a cute girly way. Does anyone know where that line is from?

Yeah, it looks even nicer when you see the whole scene (I mean, not the single screenshot, but animated sequence) - Bart and Lisa try to push each other off the couch in a veeery lazy manner. :D What's also interesting is that Lisa looks at the TV, while Bart looks at Lisa. I wonder what was going on TV that moment so it could interest Homer and Lisa, but not Bart. ;)

Whatever causes it, the way she looks in this scene and other scenes... oh God, I don't know to how to say it words!! I've never seen a more adorable, beautiful face.

This moment is more funny than cute, but I don't see more fitting topic (and for the "Unusual Pictures" one it's not weird enough). :) It's from "Hungry Hungry Homer", when Marge started to feed her kids with all the food she used to prepare for Homer. The moment has made me laugh, you don't see Lisa like that in the Simpsons often. ;)

Despite the obvious cruelty in "I D'oh Bot", I liked that episode. And yes, the final scene with Lisa and her new Snowball was very sweet. By the way, did you notice that new Snowball seems to be intelligent? Not cute, not smart... plain intelligent, like most of the people? I'm sure Lisa won't be disappointed about him. :) And I really liked the moment when he licked her arm. I never knew cats do that aside from cleaning themselves, until one cat called Seema did the same to me. ^^ I wish I didn't have allergy to cats...

The third screencap is kinda funny, especially Milhouse's expression. Did he faint in that scene? I probably would ;) didn't see that episode yet, but will do someday. If that's one of your fav episodes, it deserves some attention.

Actually, I know one cat that does it as well - it's such a cute one, too bad that I see him only once or twice a year when I visit a friend of mine. I could play with him for hours. Actually when cat licking you several times, it's like emery paper touching your skin, so I wonder why Lisa could hug him so long without giggling or stopping him :) I agree about Snowball's personality, he is special.

Milhouse declared himself "the luckiest boy in the world", then Nelson came and beat him, saying "Don't be in love, stupid", and then he fainted, I suppose :D But this face, when he kissed him, oh, I love this moment :) I never liked Milhouse, but he deserved that kiss in this episode.

Not so jealous, I think, he became kinda like elder brother fo Lisa since they stopped dating, so he is protecting her from dangers and from boys like Millie :)

Ah yes, I remember this episode :p Their nice little takeoff of the LOTR battle scene(s). And I never particularly liked Milhouse either, but I think it's nice for him to get something like this... every once in awhile :)

The Milhouse pic is taken from the episode "The Last of the Red Hat Mamas", and it's just lovely, one of my favourites.... because Lsia speaks Italian in it!!! And in such a cute way  :lisa:  :love: !

She so small (esp in comparison with Nelson :D ), I adore all in her little figure since the flaps of her pasteboard-dress and finishing tiny shin-shields and shoes. I wonder how her hairs look under a helmet?

Earlier, when she was Joan of Arc, her helmet had spikes too, that was so funny :D And her spikes save shape under her winter cap. But her motorcycle helmet and this pasteboard helmet have usual shape, maybe because it's very hard to make special spikey helmet. And what's also interesting - when she took of this helmet, her spikes were just as before and didn't lose their shape :eek:

The first moment is from the "Three Men and a Comic Book", when Bartman appeared the very first time. Wind blows, showing Bartman's cloak and pose... and nearly blowing Lisa's hair off :D
Two next screenshots are from "Burns' Heir". Lisa was missing Bart, and started acting weird. On the last screencap, she's tripping Homer. :) BTW, you can see an interesting animation goof there.

i have to rewatch that now, if only for that scene :D

About "Burns' Heir" scene - this is the episode I'm watching often and every time I'm exciting of this moment, so unusual and touching this reaction of Lisa. And Marge's, who acted so calm :eek:

Rewatched this episode just about 20 minutes ago. It contains so much sweet moments, maybe the cutest episode ever. I'm always crying in the end :D

And moment you posted is really great. Before this ball landed on her head, she looked so hopeful to get it, then a bit surprised and finally so sad about her failure, very interesting moment indeed :) Much more nice than moment in basketball training :)

Ooh, familiar scene! One person has showed me just that screenshot (the first one) not so long ago, and I loved the moment, very cute. Hah, Lisa looks funny with her hair wet, and Homer looks like he would do anything for her daughter that moment. But what do you mean about "support"? That scene happened in the very end of the episode iirc, everything bad has gone away already... Homer looks more relieved to me rather than troubled. He also looks drunk, but that's another story. ;)

Nope, it's in the middle, when Homer was mistaken and all citizens were disappointed, so everybody have gone and he seek Lisa's support, although she never believed in his prophecy :) So, he is rather pitiful, and he hugging her almost crudely, I think.

About screen SimpReal posted - she have seen, how he cut airship with the knife and probably had time to see, which way he chose just before her head was covered.

Iirc, somebody here already said about moment, when Bart was pushing her into mailbox and I personally like her with bald head - even then she looks pretty, kind and sweet :p Babies look so great in the Simpsons in every situation. Even Homer agreed in 18x16 :)

Good luck with tracing - rather complex scene - angel Lisa is so small, but definitely good-looking! Marge did a good job.

And agree about that, almost every moment with Lisa is great :p This scared one reminds me of moment, when Bart took his little sisters to scary movie, then become scared himself and girls were calming him down. Can't remember what episode it from now, but this is so contrasting and make me think about how much she differs from season to season, and how moody she is :)

That's nice moment. I can recollect even dozens of such moments from the whole serial so I'll just mention about "The mook, the chief..." s18e01 - right before the end - Lisa's standing outside Muke's "deal-room" and her expression became such for a moment.

That was my favorite moment in the whole episode! (And the episode itself wasn't bad at all, too. :)) Maggie looks rather deformed on Marge's arms, but Bart and Lisa, pictured as angels, are something you'll never forget. Lisa looks very cute with her harp and wingies, I love her smile. Good luck to Yggdrasill with making a vector version of it!

Interesting moment too. But for some reason Sideshow Bob's expression amazes me even more than Lisa's. You can see Lisa having such a bored look in the show, but scared and panicking Bob? That's something new... :D

The most funny about this grab is the situation in which they both are. Lisa's supposed to be shocked and panicking. But for some reason she just stands there wearing that drowsy look on her face while Bob mimics her panic. An animators' mistake, maybe?

To me it looks like this framegrab was taken while Lisa was blinking. I don't think there's anything strange about that. :p

As for whether or not it was blinking or drowsy, who cares! It's always funny to see something that was not intended to be seen, or something unusual, such as a character in mid turn, allowing us a full frontal shot of them.

As far as I recall, in the scene in question she does indeed hold pretty much that expression for a prolonged period, on account of being irritated by Bob's criticism.

BOB: Oh I see. When it's one of my schemes you can't foil it quickly enough. But when it's Cecil it's "Hopeless, utterly utterly hopeless".

Actually, she was. Once Cletus said his line, the screen cut to Lisa standing next to him, cleaned off with his kids.

Taking the picture out of context and without having seen the episode, i can say that that frame fails at being funny or even cute at every level. It really looks like the screencap was taken in the exact moment where it looked like Lisa was smashing her face on that stone, even if in the episode that didn't happen. For a purpose or just out of randomness, i don't want to investigate.

I'm glad to know she didnt have consequences (not that i was expecting something different from the show), yet i dont blame Serge for feelign bad about such screengrab. now you have to post a really cute one to balance it out. ;)

Sorry for not finding this funny... one of the reasons I like the Simpsons so much, is that it's very close to the reality (Halloween specials aside), and cases like this one make me shiver. Even when Homer was falling down in the similar scene, it wasn't much funny to me. I tend to take the show seriously.

Like when Homer gets his hand stuck in that paper shredding machine ("My hemophilia!"). I'd refer to when he falls down springfield gorge, but that one results in Homer on the stretcher! In this case, Lisa contributes towards the humor.

Guys, I'm sorry I've posted something that provocated you to this :/ I don't like Lisa's role at "Yokel chords" at all, but she looked so funny when singing all that episode and felt herself so important, and that made her cute. All other parts were cruel, both Skinner, Krusty and Cletus humiliated her, I suppose it's not an episode for Lisadorers at all.
That was strange writers' choice - to put Lisa in such homeristic moment, but it was needed to them because they wanted to humiliate her and make her silly after her pathetic song of proud "tutor". Yep, they've exaggerated. Please, be friendly to each other anyway. They're exaggerating too often with some characters (yep, like Lisa & Ralph :p) last seasons, it looks that some fans accepted that, but some people still didn't. Probably all are right, dunno.

Moment you posted is very adorable, I suppose, it's one of episodes, when parents talk to children about their past. So great and unusual to see Homer acting like this with all kids the same time.

Here's three more cute moments from "Fraudcast News" and "Lisa gets an A", two complex episodes, where Lisa shows all her power and all her childishness the same time and despite of all controversies and moments, when she is very sad, these eps still have some happiness; anyway, Lisa is very adorable in her struggles with herself.
First one - pony moment all you know; moment, when she looks on that animals, wants to have them, but still about in a second can show all her seriousity and decline this tempting offer.
Second one shows all her devotion to school. In that episode Marge so maternally cares about her daughter at the beginning, i like it very much. And also, Lisa changes there much too, sometimes it's so hard to understang her motivation in different moments.
Third now reminds me moment from the Movie :) Here she looks like she is ready for... you know ;)

First two moments are sweet, yes, she looked so charmed when she saw those ponies (although to take a gift from Burns is the last thing I'd recommend Lisa. A deal with him is a deal with Devil, you can't win there). And the last moment is more funny than cute, *lol* at the filename. ;)

By the way, on the second picture Lisa's head seem to be bigger than Marge's one, even haircut aside... possible animation goof :)

I think there are a few things that have basically been proven fundamentally cute with Lisa and Maggie:
1. When the view of them is from a diagonal vertical view [To make it look as if you looking down to her].
2. When they wear any other clothes than what they normally wear.
3. This last one definitely goes without saying, but whenever they are very happy.

Yeah, she looks very cute on these moments (second one especially... aww), which is kinda weird, because, to my opinion, seasons 10-12 were the worst animation-wise. There weren't too much moments where you could call the characters "cute", you probably picked up one of the best. :)

Aww, that's a very sweet scene. This is also, as far as I know, the only time something like this happened. Marge looks very happy, even though they were lost and seperated from Bart and Homer. :)

Once again, that collection Endymion posted is awesome. Especially the moments where Lisa lands on the bench... like Marco mentioned, she looks like a kitten there, and that's so cute! Thanks for posting that, I'm sure it will cheer me up many more times. :)

Heh, one scene I'd include in the pack, is still missing there. ;) I mean the moment where Lisa was playing sax in the EPA van. It's a short scene, but it still was very cute, I loved it to the bits. (And Homer's attempt to free them was hilarious, but that's another story.) But even without it, it's a cool collection. Compare different moments and check how Lisa's hairstyle changes, depending on her mood. :lisa:

Heh, yeah, that scene was somewhat gross, but when she said "It doesn't work.", it was really cute, at least in the German dubbing. Anyway, sleeping Lisa always looks super-cute, even when slightly drunk. ;)

I don't think she was drunk. She had put something in it to make Mozart (Bart) sleep and after that she accidentily drank it herself. :p
