Lisa, the Simpson!

Okay, I'm aware that such topics are either very popular or fall flat on their face, depending on the members' degree of privacy... so I'll go first. The rules are simple; post a picture of yourself. :)

The one on the far left is me, and the girl in the middle is Kim (and I'm proud to say that issues between us are finally being sorted out). On the far right is our friend Jeffrey, although his face is blocked by a tree branch. :gigi:

I must say though, Kim looks very pretty :)

Anyway,.. I can't say I have many recent or good quality ones but if I find any better ones at all, I'll post them later ^_^

Well, I never used to post in this sort of thread but there is a pic of me floating around on the GFC somewhere, so what the hell!   This atrocity (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a65/alexwilliam/showoff1.jpg) is the result...   Well I wanted to post an up to date pic, so I decided to go for the ultra-corny "pose with guitar" thing...yes, it's a guitar nerd showing off again.  :) (and as seems to be the usual case with me in photos, managing to look sinister...)
Anyway, it's always nice to put a face to a name so it's good to see ya!

janglewolf, heh! I see no atrocity at all. And people who can play guitar make me jealous, it's an amazing skill to have but it was too hard for me to learn.

*cough* Now the hard part... I don't have much pictures of myself, here is the most recent one (see attachment). But just today, I was at the summer house with my family and cousin, she had digital camera, so we've made several photos. If she saved them to her PC, I'll try to post something more up-to-date soon.

Hehe, Serge that picture was taken one afternoon when we went around with a camera taking pictures of things... yes, silly idea to get up in the tree but it ended up being a pretty nice picture :) I've got some more that I'll post later, but I need to get them off my friend's computer in CECA first.

Anyway, I said I'ld get a better picture of me, and I hope it isn't too corny or anything but yesterday I went with my mum to a wedding, and yes, lots of photos were taken :D So here's a very recent, better quality one of me, (yes in a dress, I had to dress up smart x_X)

In my oppinion it is very fascinating to see photos of the people who are posting and writing in an simple message board. You can better imagine the people "in front of the screen" at their homes. Nice photos, people.

Hehe, very cute! I remember that I had one of those things as well as a kid, but I never managed to do more than a few short hops with it. I pretty much suck at all sports activities, including roller skating, ball games, dancing and whatnot.  :p

ok i dont like taking pics of myself, or have anyone else do the same, but my friend took this one of me while we were up in the national park doing some rock climbing. i was blocking out the sun so i could see the best way to go.

Whoa, that's a mighty impressive picture! The scene, the light bloom, your pose... wow.
And yes, as a whole, it does make you look like a madman. Nothing personal, that's just the impression the image gives. Marvelous!

well i may be a bit off, but all i was doing in the pics was spotting our next climb. my friend  snapped it while i wasnt looking. i was also shaking off the pain in my right arm. ill show the accompanying pics of the rock face that we climbed. if you look closely, you can see the rope that we used in the crack of the rock. we dont use harnesses and a lot of fancy equipment, just our strength and a few ropes, though those ropes can tow a truck out of a bog.

This is a perfect example of what I love about our species of highly evolved monkeys (controversial!)... Most places in the world, rock climing is only availible in large gyms or on dedicated climing spots. This is what you have in your town (or nearby at least), so you use it to the full. To me thats just like, me going outside and skating because the ground is paved over in road surfacing. Or like a hiker walking up a nearby mountain, because its all they have.
I just love it, the way people learn to adapt and enjoy their suroundings.

i guess something like that would be true, i personally use what i love, there is something so exhilarating about climbing up so high that i know that one slip would end my life. i think this kind of Discussion would best be talked out in another thread though.

My God, is it me or did you actually cut your hair? :) Oh well, looks nice nonetheless. Nice room too, although I can't say I envy your computer setup. That would be uncomfortable for me, having to constantly turn my body like that. To each his own though.

Well that is actually my Futon, i lay it out and rest against the wall with the monitor turned towards me. it is actually more comfortable than sitting in a chair, especially late at night when I want to watch tv at the same time

And yes I did cut and Dye my hair. No more flashy Red for me, i like it better this way.

The photo was taken at one of the tourist attractions we went to, it was referred to as a "Desert Museum" but it was basically just a zoo. :P

Last Saturday evening (2nd February) I went to a friend's sixteenth birthday party. It was a great time, lots of food, lots of dancing. Here's a couple pictures taken of me, and both times I didn't realize they were being taken until it was too late. :P

The funny starts when you get into the conflicts of being blind and paralyzed. He can legally carry a butterfly knife because its one of the few kinds you can open with one hand. Being trained in Aikido helps some, too. That's old world samurai battlefield tech. for the unafilliated. Not the pretty, harmonious newage crap that got started back in the 40's after Hiroshima.

The only "art" I did this summer. :P

Heh, very artsy... I like the clouds sort of hovering in the background. The whole setting feels very alive.

It's got a good sense of focus to it and the poem is fitting for such a scene that portrays optimism and transition.

Actually the poem is a song... "Coming Back to Life", from Pink Floyd's last studio album, The Division Bell.

It has some of the most beautiful lyrics of any of the Floyd's songs... David Gilmour wrote it about his divorce from his first wife Ginger, and how meeting his girlfriend at the time Polly Samson was like "coming back to life" for him.
