Title: The Windrunner chronicles
Post by: laguna sky on April 28, 2007, 19:14
Well I am at it again. in a mix of my minds mental capabilities, I have decided to work on a new fic. This one is purely my own and there is nothing taken from any other shows, comics, or books. I got very sick of doing things that already had characters that i needed to work with, now I am doing one of my own. This one is a dark bit of a life look at one main character and his trials. All of my pictures will in some way corespond to this  story. So when I put up new pics, most of them will be illustrations of what I have in this story. Until I get my new scanner, you will have to enjoy this spoiler to "The windrunner chronicles"

What does this comment have to do with the topic? If you're not interested in the fic, don't read it. This board is open to any kind of fanfiction, as its summary reads.

I will, however, answer that question. No, I do not hate the simpsons. On the contrary I still remember almost every word to each episode from the first 8 seasons. I do have a tendency to get very sick of things very fast due to limitations.I can only do so much to the main characters to the simpsons, adding one or two off the wall characters of my own design does not allow for me to write effectively. Everyone crits on things like, how well Lisa is portrayed, the things they do, the how they react to different things. I need to work on something that is more open to the genre that I am used to. A mix of regular life story mixed with a sci-fi/fantsy twist.

Nice out of the blue comment right there. I like how it seems like you enjoy flaming or being flamed or disliked by this forum.

Let's return this topic to normal please. I would like to get a little bit of feedback for even the spoiler.

Very well then. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to read your spoiler, but the first chance I get I assure you that I will post a review.

Thats that cleared up then :)

About your story, I think it is unwise to have a real president in a story eccpecialy a sitting one. I think you should make up a ficticious president to avoid legal issues. Orther than that, the story is fairly good. Very dark and gritty! Please continue!

heh, well that isn't going to happen, freedom of speech prevents me from being punished for it :D. besides the whole story is based around the conflict in Iraq, though it may be set in a futuristic version of said war. just my little way of coming to terms with the stupidity that surrounds the whole thing. Though I might change the name for the sake of it if I do make it a futuristic one.

It depends what you write and what country you're in. Google gives me the following about the US - they probably wouldn't have caught you out, but always good to be informed about the borders surrounding such matters:

I personally think a fictional president would be better. It's the only way to be certain. people will know who you're talking about anyway ;)

Here is a little fic that I did after discovering a new song. A basic dream/song fic. For clarification, Angel is the other wolf that will appear in the story very soon. Airidon was the one who finished creating her after he had escaped from his prison.

Read the first bit, sounds promising. I don't really understand that worry about the president's name, if you story would fall the victim of censorship because of such small thing, then God save America  but that's up to you whether to change it or not. So far it looks interesting. Gotta read the next part. :)

Here is a part that I have spent so much time working on. It may or may not end up in the story, but it means so much to me and my heart is broken in it.

The True Angel

Edit: I took it down for now, I think I should let the story develop a bit first. I will repost the story soon. If you did happen to be one of the few people that Downloaded it, please make no comments on it yet. leave your thoughts untill later. :)

Well seeing as how I have been drawing so much, i thought, Man i havent even worked on my Writing a while. So i decided to work more on my personal vice.

This is the opening to the story. it has been posted before, but i have added a bit more. The next installment will be  whole new chapter.

The Windrunner Chronicles: Chapter one "The past, The present, and the Future"

It has officially been too long since i updated this story. My newfound un-employment has left me with ample time to work on it, in and amongst the job search. So to make this short, here is chapter one and two.

Chapter One (Meet Aridon)
Chapter Two (Saving Grace)

Chapter three is now up. This is a deviation that I really hadn't expected taking, but it will work itself out in the end. This chapter jumps far into the future and lands 5 of the family members on a new planet with no supplies. Since it has been known that StarFox was the most influential thing that led me to do Furry art/stories, i made this a crossover chapter. The story will continue to jump back and forth for a few as I kind of like the mental game that I have to play to be able to write it out. It kind of helps me too, b/c I can't write interlude material too well, so doing time jumps by passes the minor stuff that can be filled in later or be passed up altogether.

Enjoy chapter three: LOST

I have read chapter 1&2 ( i will save 3 for another time) I like where the story is going so far. I can picture the characters and the scene very well, especially the family life bit.

Even though they are short and the descriptions not lengthy, you have captured the details of the story well. :) I look forward to reading chapter 3 onwards when i get more time.

Keep it up :)

Well as stated, chapter three kind of deviates from what is presently going on, but it will all come together and I have been working on a few other parts that will really shock everyone that reads it.

ahhh couldnt resist. Downloaded chapter 3. And it is good, though one very small grape, there is no indication what has happened since chapter 2, its like they do not link together and it a different story, maybe a little introduction at the start of the chapter to tie it back somehow to chapter 2 and explain the change in direction and why.

Otherwise I loved the chapter, again I got visuals in my head of the ship, the damage and the cryotubes ect. Again, short but very descriptive of the feeling of the scenes :)

like i said, everything will link when I am ready to have it link. Until then, you are left asking the questions of How did they get there and what happened to Aridon?

really cannot wait to read it as a whole :)

Well Empethree, I finally put up the fourth chapter for you.  ;) In all honesty this one is a bit short and it reveals a little bit about the main characters (finally). I have to say that I think I did alright on this bit of filler. I usually hate having to do parts that aren't riding my brainwaves on a daily basis. The next chapter will be up soon and it will be a bit better done as it has been on my mind for like 2 weeks.

Windrunner Chronicles
Chapter 4: Past lives

fantastic chapter, short but sweet. The character information warms me up to the characters even more, and gives me a picture in my mind of who they are and what they look like.

Had to smile at the end when his arm fell off again, can just imagine chatting someone and my arm falling off and me casually pixking it up and putting it back on. :)

heh, well i figured that i needed to do a few semi-comical parts to this story. I hope to be able to do a few more like this, but for now, it is going to be pretty much the same as the rest. More boring drama to come :D

Well for a little while I am back to the Site, At least until I leave for BCT, then after 10 weeks, I'll be back again. In my waiting time, I have been writing. Here is the Next chapter in the Windrunner Chronicles.
I wrapped it up a bit abruptly and my mind was reeling with some odd mathmatical junk while writing this, so I added a bit of age conversions for at least one character so that you (the reader) can kind of get a basic view of life on the planet and some of the more technical aspects of it, like lifespan and such. Once I get some sleep, I'll be actually redoing a bit of the last paragraph or so, that way it doesnt look like i wrote it while drunk.

Chapter 5: The Wreckage

this chapter has been written very well. THe age conversion is also useful too, and I do like the bit where he points out he is far older lol.

Aww, your the best Carl. After actually reading what I wrote (I wasnt really paying much attention to what I was writing), I realized that I think I almost broke the 4th wall. I didnt really think about it when I mentioned the Soft Science Nightmare script joke. And like I said that whole Mathematical conversion bit, I was so tired that my brain was actually running at mach speeds thinking that stuff up at 2 am

Ah finally Part 6. This one is kind of a mild filler, it kind of ends abruptly but is something I have wanted to try. Introduction to a new main character in this chapter (one would think that I had enough already). Short, sweet and to the point on this one, only 4 pages.

Chapter 6; Her

Well here is yet another chapter in the ever continuing saga of the Windrunner Chronicles. A bit more action in this one and as a little show of it(And cuz I am taking serge's advice), I will be including a little tidbit for you to check out.

Chapter 7 Fight or Flight

Cali dove sideways throwing Shira to the ground. “Zip,” The sound of a bullet went whipping past them and it hit the ground only feet from where they had been standing.
“How fast can you run?” Cali asked getting up off of her.
“About 15 miles an hour.” Cali grimaced and pulled her up.
“Get on my back and hold on.”

I'll be Quick here. Four posts in a row and everything that has been talked about on the forum about this board seems to be the same. Sad really.

Anyway, this is a sort of intermission. I am kind of stuck with the filler for the 8th chapter so I am putting the real next main part of the chapter in first.

Intermission part 1

Hey all, i'm back in the world of writing again and I have more to put out to you.

Forgive the lack of Spell checking, I no longer have my Word program, and I have to wait until this next week or so to get it.

Chapter 8: Meeting New Friends?

Edit: I Downloaded a free copy of OpenOffice, so I at least have a spell checker. Current Copy is the spell checked one.

EDIT2: I have been a busy bee this lovely day. Actually i have been confined for the weekend due to my wisdom teeth coming out. So i can do nothing but play games and write.
here is another chapter to my story

Edit 3: upon reading my ending to chapter 9 while not high from pain killers, i realized that i reall had no where to go after i finished with that. it would have made no sense. so once im done reworking it, then ill repost it.

Well I have finally gotten the chance to work a bit on my story, and here it is. I also decided that it would just be easier if I compacted the entire story into one large file. 238kb to be exact. Chapter nine is the newest addition and chapter 10 and 11 will be up soon too, so read up .

Comments and Crits are welcome/needed. Thanks to all
