this is my new gallery in where they will be my pics for this year :)? I hope that they have affability of my drawings?

thanks friends? :)

It seems like you've been feeling quite down lately :( Your sadness is reflected in your art.

"Lagrimas" (Tears) is quite interesting, I can't quite place Lisa's location, exception maybe on a road or in a garden of some sort. The inscriptions on the candles look Japanese, although I could be wrong. Her expression shows a tired sadness. :(

"Recuerdos de tristeza" (Remember the Sadness) This picture also reminds me of Japan, or China, and the background is very nicely drawn. I like the way you've drawn her dress as well, although the ripples in the water are a bit wonky looking, they're better than I could do. The mood however is still very depressing. :(

It's so beautiful
"Lagrimas" - It seems like a road on top of the mountain.
"Recuerdos de tristeza" - what's happened? why everything on fire?

Gustavo you really do amaze me. You have a wonderful form for art. I love both of these pics.

Beautiful pen work, Gustavo, as always.

"Lagrimas"- I like the flowersand the lantern. It seems as it is an emotionally attatched picture to represent something?

"Recuerdos de tristeza"- Everything's aflame. :o It reminds me of a part in the Mulan movie where they visit the town that's been destroyed and she finds that little doll in the snow.

Keep up the wonderful works, I look forward to more! :D

"Lagrimas" is very beautiful and affecting. Your technique is so expressive! I like yours monochrome pictures very much.

Unfortunately, I can't understand second picture and relation of these two works. But, anyway, very touching. Lisa seems so lonely and unprotected :(

It reminds me of a part in the Mulan movie where they visit the town that's been destroyed and she finds that little doll in the snow.
I thought of that, too. The doll floating in the water is reminiscent of the doll that Mulan finds in the snow.

Wow, Gustavo. :)

Those are awsome, I'm very impressed by these :D

Lagrimas
The traditional chinese background is very nice :) suits the picture very much. I dont know why Lisa is sad but she looks pretty cute!  :lisa:

recuerdos de tristeza
A more sadder Lisa. Keeping the traditional chinese theme though. The first picture seems to be before, this picture is after. Through peace, she is sad. Through pain, she is still sad.
Everyone form a line to hug Lisa...  *hugs*

Holy Love
Vibrance! :D
Gotta love it, she blossems like the flower which she stands in :) Her being without clothes gives it a MUCH more natrual feeling, very well choosen for the situation. Well done! Cant wait for the colour :)

In the name of the sky
Just beautiful. The icing on the 30ft cake :)
Its strange how, I almost over looked the wings. She is so suited to wings and a halo it seems very normal now. However, great effort has been put into this and it shows. Its a very nice picture! I love the ribbons, the way they follow her motion in flight. Again, cant wait to see it in yellow :D

Awsome pictures Gustavo, thanks for sharing them!  :lisa:

In this topic i saw a spectre of emotions that is difficult to be recreated with any medium. Not books, nor movie, and not even some pretty famous pictures known all around the world managed to touch me and make me fly with my mind as these pictures here.

Lagrimas...
Despite the vast background the pic feels very intimate and secluded, a place just for Lisa and that little chinese Lamp giving her a little of confort... but she's turning away from it. The shading is dark, and the pic is quite sad though, but not in a way of tears, cries and desperation. It's more of a feeling of losing, of almost giving up. The details are as always very nice, Lisa is cute, one just wants to leap into the pic and reassure her, tell her everything will be alright.

Recuerdos de Tristeza...
It looks to me like this pic is the sequel to "Lagrimas". Here, it looks like Lisa just lost to the emotions, and she watches as her tears melt in the uniform cold water, as her dreams? The background is more wild, there is more turmoil in the pic, and less darkness. Lisa's sadness is in the bright day, for everyone to see.

Holy Love...
Rebirth! As Casper said, this is just a perfect analogy for Lisa, a flower blossoming. Her nakedness might be a motive of censoring was it done in less meaningful ways, but in this picture here it adds just so much to the meaning. Besides, it's very tasteful. :) Oh, loved the little studies we can see all around the main picture... it's like reading the story of the picture :)

In the Name of the Sky...
Lisa is reborn, and all traces of sadness have been left behind (yay!!), as she flies carelessly through the blue sky. It's a picture of pure force of freedom, of will to live, of joy and beauty. Lisa sings, screams out her lively self to the entire world "I finally found happyness, and you can find it too, so jump and fly with me!"

/me jumps and flies...

There I am...

I love your drawing styl, you know that. But some of your pictures here are much better than avarage stuff. I especially like the "lagrimas" picture cause of it´s well drawn enviroment!
"recuerdos_de_tristeza" is also good, but very confusing. I guess if you try do draw the lines much cleaner and softer. But while a long watching you see the really nice details, especially in the backround.

I did a similiar picture like "Holy Love" long time ago. Remindes me a bit of it. But I think this is just a simple motive you choosed. I mean, you can draw Lisa really on-model and in a cute styl, but sometimes your motives are... mmh, how to tell... "allready seen it" like. Not new ideas I mean. I wish to see some non-standart-Lisa pictures. Try to break the bordes... not just drawing cute Lisa (hell, don´t missunderstand me, I love your art and all the cute Lisa pictures. :) )

Okay, you love to draw winged Lisa pictures and I have no problem with it. And I am a minorety, saying "try something totally different". I like to see Lisa in new positions and situations where she still can show her "Lisaness". *smiles* Hope I didn´t bother you to much with it.
Cause I like your drawing stil and don´t want to mess it with nitpicking and proportion-mistake-telling and stuff... *uff* English writing is difficult. I hope you all understand me.

So just let me say... uhm, if you want to surprise *me*, just get some extraodinary Lisa-picture ideas.... some wirred or crazy, or symbolic or fantastic or allday-situationly picture...

D´oh, I am tired....

Love your art!  :)

Nice works, they have both an original design and the technics they're done. Lagrimas looks quite sad, the "strange" prospect (as it seems to me) makes it an unreal, toy. Maybe because of the small street lamps with their only lights. Recuerdos de tristeza that's so sad too... The chinese surrounding is interesting, and i hope her memories soon be changed to good and unclouded again. Holy love. A sweet, joyous picture. :) Lisa herself like a beautiful flower in which she sits. For some reason for me it seems that has just woken up and washes by dew. The butterflies welcome her, the sun lights up and warms her, will dry up her tender skin. This picture is charming! In the Name of the Sky looks good, I like the detail with the bare foot brushing against the water smooth surface. She looks happy and jolly now and that's good. And God knows - nice too. I think Lisa imagined slightly grown up here. I always like to see her in a half face, both when her eye is displayed round and when it's oval. Her body is quite strong here, i believe. :p

A pack of rare pics from the dark past? ;) Paseo is most pleasant to me, if only it would be more clearly drawn. Unusual expression of her face and the pose is remarkabke too. 31_December_2005 have a nice colouring, nice dress. Thanks for sharing with that stuff, its interesting :)

@ all

THANKS  by yours "hiper sweet" :D Replys! ;)

...... is time of "Arrancacorazones"..... :)

This of is the drawing of this topic…the name is “arrancacorazones” , it is a fusion of some techniques of drawing in charcoal and my bad abilities… nevertheless it is a pretty work…
is not a sad drawing… is dark, a dark desire that exceeds any attempt to think that some things are not possible…  :(

a bit of  madness, and a destroyed heart… :p the thoughts of a demon, a soul that this very happy for being alive near a new freedom, “the freedom to live catched”  in her only in Lisa… sincerely  I no have a heart…. Lisa is my heart! ..... blood and fire… and in  flames reborn each day… a little better than yesterday…. :)

Arrancacorazones
It looks so great :) What a magnificent expression! The eyes are simply great with its unfinished lines of eyelids. And all that small flowers, which drawn so caressly, makes good sensation contrary to blood-stained ribbons. Lisa herself drawn simply perfect and shading so good too. Impressive work. Is it the edge of her smile i see? :p

Silense
Thats really sexy :D  Adult Lisa... Her expression is bewitching and - yes - very seductive here. She has blue eyes...beautiful gentle blue eyes... I think she speaks something or just smiles with slightly sad smile. The highlight on her hairs is delightful, exactly accentuating her emotions of calm and tenderness...Very, very sweet drawing!

These two ones very good, Gustavo!

Arrancacorazones
Wow, this is a very nice drawing! I love the symmetry here, I've always viewed that as a way of expressing powerful emotions, and the one expressed here seems to be sadness.

Silence
I must agree with Yggdrasill here... very sexy looking! It may not show much, but we can just see the tempting beauty there... so incredibly desirable!!

Title: Re: Arrancacorazones...
Post by: D.B. on March 18, 2007, 20:09
Y'know, I love your drawings, but I never seem to leave comments. Right, in no particular order, I shall pick out a few of my favourites...

lagrimas - there's some nice shading in this one, especially on the mountains and Lisa's dress. I don't quite know what's going on with the lights and thing sin the background, but I'm a sucker for Lisa with ehr ahnds ebhind her back (which always seems to work out in a very cute pose)

recuerdos_de_tristeza - aww, angsty - oh well, at least she seems safe. I'm not quite sure the perspective is right for the water around her ankles. The background's strangely dream like in the way everything's crammed together, almost like you've gone for a mildly symbolic representation.

god_knows - this one really jumps out at me. Looks very eastern. My initial thought was that you might be parodying some famous buddhist picture - till I saw the wings that is ;) Her legs and arms are maybe a bit longer than i would have drawn them, and her left foot looks a little awkward. However, adding those frilly socks was a touch of genius :D

Paeso - fun in a very scribbly way. That's all I'm going to say :)

Silence - heh, cute. I must say that judging by the thickness of some of the brush strokes I suspect that this may be a segment of a bigger picture...  or maybe i'm completely wrong :P. Anyway, that aside some really nice colouring here, some of the best I think I've seen from you. Simple but effective, and I do love what you've done with her eyes. Keep it up :)

Arrancacorazones - If I'd been asked whether I thought this idea would work, I would probably have said no. So thank you for proving me wrong :). There's so much to like about this picture: the stylaised hair, and the way the spikes of her hair get darker towards the tips, tieing them in with the rest of the picture; the addams family-esque dress (and I mean that in a good way ;) ); the way you use the flowers to simulatniously hide her expression and contrast with the ribbons in the background; and the ribbons themselves, which with the addition of a few dark drops avoid being a cutesy heart shape and ebcome something almost threatening. Awsome :)

In the name of the sky - yay, happy pic! Not much to say really, it's got all your usual neat touches (namely cool hair and expression, big flowing ribbons and flowers). All I'd change woudl eb the feathers in the wings - they look too angular to me, almost as if they're meant to be mehanical. lathough now I think about it, that would be quite a neat idea too...

Title: Re: Arrancacorazones...
Post by: CargoOfDarkness on March 18, 2007, 21:56
These are brilliant pictures. And you did some neat stuff there... with other words, I mean this "Arrancacorazones.jpg"!!! Wow, what a shading and a beautyful motive. Some of my favorites in this thread.

Btw, did you response to commends? I would have guest you say something to me... meh... :)

Title: Re: Arrancacorazones...
Post by: Casper on March 19, 2007, 14:46
Do you need sleep Gustavo?... Or do you spend every hour of everyday drawing so we cant keep up :D

Well, I'm not complaining. This art is awsome!
(in reverse order)
Silence
Its quite an emotional picture, her expression seems tired, and slighty upset. There are no signs of clothing, which is a symbol of vunerability, and being unprotected. But nethertheless, its portrayed well. Thumbs up :)

Arrancacorazones
Wow... the detail of the shading is incredible. I like the way her eyes are untraditionaly unlined, leaving just the light shading and under line to seperate them from the rest of her face. The dress looks amazing, the colours used are very well placed. The flowers look good too... in fact, there is not much really I dont like about it! The ribbons dripping with dark substance give a gruelling image though. Quite, a sinister yet, cleverly orgasnised picture.

God Knows
This is just pure artistic genius. Who on Earth would think of an idea like this? :D
Lisa, dressed in her loose clothing, symbolises a sort of fluidity, and freedom to move. The environment looks to me like a place of worship, and she is the Godess. Of course, she is not perfect. So she looks up to her greater Gods too.
Well, thats the vibe I get from this picture anyway :)

Paseo
This is quite anime like, and... I guess I like it :p
In this picture, she enjoys the peace of the beach to herself, and isnt too greatful when another person (the perspective of the picture) comes to join her.
On the other hand, judging by the love theme, she seems to be contemplating reasons behind love, or her possible crush's on people.
The meaning doesnt really give the picture its marks, its the back and fore grounds. Its so simple and it gives it such an amazing impact. A bit like, cheese on toast... mmmmmm.....

Donuts
Great :D
I think my only problem being is, Homer doesnt have the exctatic expression that I believe he would have if he held a half meter odd Donut :p
However, its brilliant. Love the idea! I will cut you some slack since these where done a long time ago, and you could probably improve the pictures if you repeated them. All I suggest is we see more of the family, because your good at drawing them all, not just Lisa ;)

31st December 05
That is good. She seems to be on a snowy mountain of sorts. The picture, really REALLY gives me a sence of 'freshness'. Thats the best word I can use to describe the feeling it gives. The background feels cold, but crisp, while Lisa is the warmth. Theres not much else I can write about it, but I absolutly love this picture. One of my favurate from you :D

2003 Draw Lisa 14
I see this was only a quick sketch, something done to pass the time. However, some of the best ideas where done this way. Either that or from pressure.
The tree in the background is nicely detailed, clearly showing an Autumn month scene. Lisa in her dress outside must be doing something important, and she seems concerned about how she looks.
Speaking of which, this picture is of course not as well made as we're used to. Her necklace is too small and left left (reletive to the viewer) is crooked. However again, if you re-drew this, it would look much better. :) Sometimes, going back to old ideas is the best way to get better. :D (I must learn that lesson one day... )
I am interested in what the writing was, before it was blured... but nevermind.

2003 Draw Lisa Night
This is nice. The detail is amazing, I'm loving the background, the mountains look breath taking. Lisa looks very offbalance, but still somewhat cute. Her dress blowing in the wind is well detailed. As well as the leaves and other objects blowing in the sky :p Very nice picture!

29 May 2002 world
Wow... May 2002. You've been at this longer than me ;)
The picture looks great! More detail and lines than you can shake a stick at. The comic text is a great touch, even though I dont understand it, the question and excimation marks give a sence that what ever words transpired, they where amusing. :D
Holding the globe, next to the globe, is a nice idea. Lisa is very much a humanitarian, so its a very suited symbolic picture for her. I love it!

12 October 2002 draw wind

Lisa: Can anybody find my hat..?  :gigi:

A nice picture, your art skill obviously started way before you drew Simpsons pictures. Its by no means a bad drawing. A bit less sophistocated as we're used to seeing now, but its very interesting to see your art routes. Bringing this up gives me an idea to make an 'old art' thread, where pictures drawn by artists long long ago can be shown. Interesting to see how things have progressed. :)

That picture (Arrancacorazones) still don't leave my mind. Simply magnificent work, I must to say a monumental work! She looks so demonic with spikes and sharp edges, while her precious face, body contours, the long dress and a bouquet makes the opposite impression of something thin and defenceless... And the bloody ribbons horrifies. I admire your talent to draw beloved Lisa and to make such great works. Continue to create. Let all that images that born in your mind will embodied in new remarkable works more often as it possible!

If I'm even getting a tattoo, it would be this picture. Very complex and atmospheric.
The last picture "Silence" - awie  I love how she looks here... The lines are a bit thick (looks like the picture was bigger initially), but her expression is interesting ;)
Keep up the great work!

I agree with everyone else, the picture is charming...
Look like a pen drawing to me. Which means it was drawn on the fly... wow :)
Gustavo, I love this one, it does show Lisa as some kind of a goddess. Looks very nice (if I can use this word ;))
Keep it up! Glad to see another "positive" drawing, btw. Take that, stupid depression! :D

The pic alone is beautiful, but the only fact that yo udrew it in pen on squared paper, which means, without the help of erasers or photoshop, makes you an HERO.

You are truly the Lisa Artist :) I agree with what everyone else said up here!

Oh, such a beautiful picture! The expression of her face has struck me. There is both a beauty and maiden enthusiasm, and understanding, and age-old female wisdom. Already it makes a picture so valuable. I can't come off when looking at her eyes... These eyes, a bend of limps as if ready to make a smile right the next moment, a gentle magnificent hairs. What a genuine beauty!

But there are also other remarkable details and then the scetch becomes to the natural masterpiece. These numerous small lights - both on candles and the tips of her dress - create absolutely magic atmosphere. Like in your picture you have drawn for a long time "The Black Magic". And the spikes of a dress... As i find myself in the darkness of a desert. The moon shines in the skies and i'm alone. But suddenly in the distance i see poured fires which calls to itself. I approach it and can't believe my eyes! :lisa:

It's amazing what can be done with the humble biro pen!   I don't really understand the symbolism but the feeling of movement and atmosphere that you achieve in your pictures is certainly there.   I'd be interested to know if you're planning to colour this as the light from the candles and those little flames on the spikes of Lisa's dress would make for an awesome contrast against a dark background.

I'm not exactly great with the long posts, but the Arrancacorazones.jpg file, is IMO, got the best design and pose. (its always the pose and design I look at, not the story behind it :P)

The rest have great poses too, but Arrancacorazones stood out the most for me.

Sorry for ignoring your recent pics... that was unintentional... :red:
They are beautiful!

Night_of_my_solitude
Aww, Lisa... why, why you make Gustavo feel so bad? I recommend both of you to cheer up ;)
This is the second time I see Lisa eating icecream with so much depressed look (first one was in "Lisa's Pony" when Homer was trying to make up for his fault). Nice drawing, Lisa has interesting expression on it... I like how you drew her mouth. Just a simple line, but it makes the emotions so strong. Her hair also look sweet.
I hope she feels better when she finishes that icecream. :)

Pain
Hey, why did you call these pictures so? They aren't that sad - well, maybe the second one.
Very nice pictures, and also clean ones. I ask for some colors! :)

hell opens its doors slightly… sadly sometimes we looked for our pain in where the rage and hatred are reflected in our black eyes…. and we cannot move the hands… and the  frustration prevents us to watch that the "friends exist in reality"...

Title: Re: Solitude
Post by: D.B. on May 07, 2007, 22:04
Wow. I love the gloriously dreamlike background - in my opinion probably your best yet. The shapes tie in wonderfully with her hair and dress, and the candles and little points of flame add an interesting man-made / slightly occult element to what would otherwise be a very organic scene. I dunno what the story behind it is either, but I feel there is one, which in some ways makes it all the more interesting.

Thanks for sharing!

This picture, overall, is STUNNING
The detail is just sheer brilliance! I can stare at this picture and be mesmerized for ...ages :p I still love how you've used the candles here
and I can really feel and relate to the emotion that flows from this picture.... It's really deep and powerful

Once again, beautiful work Gustavo

Deep, emotional and a bit scary. Scary because she tied...
Background is magic!
And Lisa... She is gone in herself, in deep labyrints of her soul...

Title: Re: Solitude
Post by: janglewolf on May 07, 2007, 23:25
Yeah, I'm not happy with Lisa being tied up like that but if I'm right about the symbolism (as in we're "tied" by our own frustration and negetive thoughts etc.), then I guess it fits the context of what you're trying to say.   I can't pretend I don't find it disturbing though.
I am however very impressed (as others have been) with the background of the pic.   The swirling shapes and those spikey carnivorous looking plants fit the sinister mood of the picture and the dark shading really adds to the atmosphere.

Title: Re: Solitude
Post by: G.H. on May 07, 2007, 23:45
Yet another wonderful, metaphoric drawing by the brilliant Gustavo! :D

As janglewolf has said, I'm not really happy with Lisa being tied up... nrrgh!! >< But I do understand that it is more of symbolic picture, as we are all tied down by all the negativity in this world. I love the way you've drawn her hair, and the background, which looks to me like a tree... or flames

Apart from my obvious sadness about her situation... I simply love this picture. I do enjoy symbolic pictures, they always carry so much more meaning :)

I'll probably just repeat others, but the background is amazing!
I can only wonder how much time you spend on it, probably a month o_O
A bit sad to see her tied and in such a deep state of despair... but the picture is so beautiful.
Aw... *is at loss for words, wants to help Gustavo with his depression, but doesn't know how :(*

in the shadows at night in the darkness of the complicity…
the inspiration lives between the flames on madness and the impossible dreams…. in the days of rain, the destroyed hopes…
the light of the life shines with as much intensity…
that you must draw…
inspiration… sometimes in more dark of the desires
sometimes in the purest thought…

bitterness
Magnificent one, this picture strikes feelings in best way. With powerful detailed elaboration, with all those leaves, drops, 'ground clouds' it gives you a sense of stay somewhere in magical forest. Candles - a hints to very delicate and tender grief of girl, I have no even a supposition why she is so sad... well it does not matter. "Only" another very good work by you. Thanks for that!

Holy love beta version
I simply don't know what is more sweet and pure but this beautiful sight you have enabled for us to see... Oh, it's just amazing and fine!... She's like a newborn fairy, where is her wings only :), making her movements like in the magic dance she looks very poetic...Or maybe she summons up the sun from the sleep? :)
(I can't wait when I can see the complete drawing)

Pain 1 & Pain 2
First one looks so cheerful, like playing with the...moon! Her small strap (or something else) makes me think exactly that. :) When she holds out with her small funny hand and smiling so fascinating I can't help but detain my look at it. Very sweet.
The second one is stunning and brings you down to the earth, instantly recollecting all the pain and disasters that surrounds us perpetually. And nothing but tears shed by such fond creature we see again.

and the latest pic...
inspiration
Huh, what expression, simply brilliant, you strikes the imagination and feelings again and again with your beautiful picies. Though quite simple this etude makes so nice sense! And that tender glance from under gentle eyelashes - it's so adorable. :) Please, go on, man, your works is great independently of the amount of already drawn Lisas! :p

I like how you've done the dark shading here, especially at the tips of the spikes in her hair, it makes her seem very 3D, and has a great effect on the picture as a whole :) I wonder what she's planing on writing or drawing :p

Her eyes look a little strange ;)
But on the other side (sorry for the pun), her legs look quite alright to me.
In general... it's very good, especially for the picture drawn with the pen from the first attempt.
Lots of beautiful details, nice subject... and that teardrop again! :) I like it.
My only small nitpick - I know it's your style, but lately, you tend to go away from the "canonic" Simpsons style, your Lisa looks more and more Anime-ish. Yes, it's more detailed and original, but I still like regular Lisa very much. :)

It's the lacking of an underline to the eye. Typical anime ;)

Ah, another wonderful picture :) I love your style of drawing Lisa, even though it strays from typical Simpsonic-style, it is beautiful in its own way. I've always liked your expressions that you've given her, they make the picture seem so alive with emotion... and the background seems so other-worldly. As Marco said, your pictures are always so poetic... keep drawing! :)

Ever since I saw your first pictures about 18 months ago, I've been impressed by the unique style you have, Gustavo. The quality, details and mere cuteness of you drawings is stunning, and I'm amazed at what speed you continue to produce drawing after drawing. You've improved massively over the time you've spent on this forum (and on simpworks), and it has really shown me and others what well-put time and hard work can do, where it can take you and how it can improve you.

Please keep up the excellent work, and thank you for sharing all of your wonderful drawings!

Yes, it's a really nice touch, I think it adds to the sense of movement in the picture, with Lisa trying to find her balance.
I really like Lisilla, it seems to be quite a symbolic piece, and Lisa looks very sweet huddled in the middle there.

Simple, but well done! I like the look of hope on her face, and the heart she is holding. The stars rushing past her are a nice touch too... hmm, do you think that heart may belong to someone like Serge? ;)

Hey, this is Lisa-comet! Or Lisa-rocket? :D

A bit hard to see that heart in her hands, but for 4:30 AM sketch it's great! I like very much her pose and face expression, as always, she is so inspiring! Thanks for sharing!

Aw! Very sweet drawing, a bit sketchy, but that always can be fixed :)
Nice moment, and I like her pose. When you draw a flying Lisa there is always a question, what to do with her arms? Every artist solves this "problem" on his own, and I just saw another possible way. Lisa the Sky Delivery Girl! Neat :)

Kicked indeed ;) but I think this heart belongs to Gustavo himself. Mine's much smaller :p

I wanted to joke about Inter-Continental Ballistic Lisa, but Lisa the Sky Delivery Girl sounds wa-ay cuter:-)

Thanks, Gustavo. That's a brilliant picture: dynamic and beautiful. You don't even have to fine-tune it - it looks great as it is.

you like the chocolate?

in a cold day, or in the snow, in the solitude only with this "special person"? and sharing one of the most exquisite pleasures of the life...

forgetting the problems that are in our existence…

In the sublime hug of a love that does not exist and that never will exist no matter how hard it looks for it…

your can find a escape or says "goodbye" to your love?

you can remember your forgotten happiness….  of the moments at which you shared?

chocalate and the love are…. sweet words… and a hell and circle infinite to the lovers...

Lisa looks nice (as always ;)) and I like the scene you've drawn. I assume there's some hot chocolate in that cup for Lisa to drink? :lisa:

Awww...
So warm and friendly picture, Gustavo, thank you for sharing.
Winter outfit looks good on her, especially earlaps, and it could be good to ask her for some warmth, some hot chocolate and so kind friendly smile, which make everyone feel better. So nicely done!

What a nice pic!   And I'm not just saying that because there's chocolate involved!
I really like that charcoal-like shading you've used, it's dark enough to bring out the glow of the fire, which in turns really adds atmosphere.

Interesting picture :) Lisa and wild nature... I hope it's not snow-covered field around her, staying on the open place at winter can be dangerous, even if you have some hot chocolate. Like others said, it's well-drawn. Nice work!

Title: Re: Creep... ^-^!
Post by: Casper on June 27, 2007, 11:32
You've never felt snow?! Damn, when it arives here, its cherished. I love the snow. I burried myself in it for 20 minutes. Comfortably cold. Mmmm.... yes...

Anyway, its about bloody time I got round to commenting these. Since I'm trapped in collage, better get started:

Holy_love_beta_version (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg3269#msg3269)
Its a very nice colouring of an already beautiful picture. The colours seem to give it more depth, so well done! Its looks very nice. :)

night_of_my_solitude (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg3447#msg3447)
This is a very unusual picture for you Gustavo, and its a very pleasent supprise. The city look in the background makes it unique for you. The detail is almost as good looking as the character! I like her new hair do, but why she is sad is another matter.
Great peice of work! I'd love to see this one with a spash of yellow ;)

pain_01 (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg3557#msg3557)
I'm curious to the name of this picture, but regardless it is a nice picture. Either that or her smile is an artist error, and she's supposed to be sad :p This time, the details of Lisa makes her the center of attention. Back to normal. :)

pain_02 (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg3557#msg3557)
This is a bit confusing, she's obviously sad but I think she has some sort of headache... the way the lines are circulating around her head. Possibly where 'pain' comes into it. If so, its a nice way to portray it though... might be better with a short description. Though I do enjoy reading the poetry that is in your posts :gigi:

bitterness (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg3738#msg3738)
Wow, looks like some sort of nightmare. More than likely not a real situation but, that doesnt really matter. :) What matters is how brilliant this is portraited, I love the background detailing again, and the subtle 'hints' of the picture, like the candles and such. Her hands however are very vague, almost like she has no hands at all!
Very great though, I love it man!

inspiration (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg3880#msg3880)
.... you gotta stop blowing my mind in different directions.  :gigi:
This is so simple its the act of a genious. Yet theres so much depth in her expression. She looks, and I'm by no means the first to say, very seductive indeed. But its something about the heart with wings which she has 'mimed', something to show you she... is innocently, in love. Rather than just 'in love'. The pencil is a kind of, means to create. She wants the viewer to come and create something with her, in the name of love.
This is truely a picture dedicated to 'Lisalovers' (Though, the term may be a bit missconceving these days. More like: 'Passionate fans of Lisa'), because of its massive labyrinth of meanings only the viewer can describe.
Artisticaly, Gustavo, has done a (well, close enough) perfected job. I know this because the viewer it is aimed for doesnt see errors, only solutions, and other stories within the picture. I dont even think colour would make this picture better!
I do hope you put a lot of effort into this picture, effort is more important than talent after all. ;) Just, congradulations. This is a masterpeice to my eyes. :)

the_whisper_of_your_soul (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg4436#msg4436)
Not as complex as the previous, but still a nice picture to gaze upon. The pencil again, hangs over the picture reperesenting Gustavo's hand creating it. Not much to add just, nice work. :)

creep (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg4502#msg4502)
Now this, I love! :D
You work in a school right? I guess thats where this was created. Or at least, based the idea here. Looks like you've drawn Lisa, and she's decided to finish the rest of the picture for you, by coming out of the paper!  :gigi:
I love this picture, the background, fore ground... and I love the idea! Everythings coming alive out of the paper, its just so sureal and nice. Well done, its awsome!  :D

(Now, my time has ended. Wow, that was an hour? Damn. I better type, think and read faster. Maybe if I tpe lik dis i cn spd up da rpli tym!)
To be continued....
EDIT: Continueing...

training (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg5136#msg5136)
To me, this is like the scene from 'Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls'. The tribe member has to endure x amount of time standing with one foot on a pole. This time, hope nobody tries the 'Earth quake test' :gigi:
Its very good though, her foot doesnt really look planted though, and seems a little off balance, like her mass isnt genuine. But aside those flaws I like it. Good job :)

no_problemo (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg5136#msg5136)
I've never really heard of 'Love Hina' before but, this pose and clothing looks quite authentic. Cant say much about it... I wish I knew what she was saying though.

lisilla (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg5136#msg5136)
Art block? :D
Well thats my first impression anyway. :) The real meaning is a complete mystery to me, but like all of your pictures in the same frame that I dont understand, the artistic value is something very respectable. I like the use of different colour pens, its very good way of singling out Lisa from the crowd of symbol's and objects. Very well done!

infinita (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg5190#msg5190)
This is nice, 'infinita' is a very symbolic title. Showing that her love, her heart, and ultimatly her personality will exist in the hearts and minds of fans for a life time. Beautifuly portraited. Good one Gustavo. :)

chocolate_03 (http://www.lisa-simpson.net/topic/163.msg5304#msg5304)
I really would like a lesson how to smudge the background just so.
She's looking towards the viewer as if its another person. Offering to share the warmth of the yummy hot chocolate to escape the cold. And possibly a hug judging by the symbolised love hearts.
I'm running out of 'end lines' at the moment so, I'll just say them all again :p
It looks very nice! Its very great! Nice work! Its awsome! Good job! Very well done! etc etc ;)

I do appologise for the lateness of this post though. :red:
And go to Italy, meet up with Marco and go snowboarding. :D For me, a hot day is a rare thing, since it rains 364 days a year. (Approx). (Well, its a bit exageratted really). So enjoy the snow! I think its great. :gigi:  Maybe I should visit your city... think the heat would kill me though.

Keep drawing anyway, love the work. :)

Sorry for not commenting earlier, but of course I enjoy chocolate :p That pic is so great, Lisa's face and eyes really make it look like she's cold, you've done a good job here; And the scarf, of course, your style seems to always involve Lisa and ribbon-like objects :D Nice job.

a new drawing…

 waiting for your eyes.
waiting for your lips.
waiting for a distant dream…
 hoping not to wake up…

the smoothness of your skin.
the tenderness of your voice.
the purity of your soul…

your aroma by the nights…
the quiet encounter of our torture.
the clandestine dark… :)

I see you're depressed again, and you took away the picture with Lisa and the wine glasses.

Aside how beautiful that pic was, i know you feel "guilty" of that pic having spawned the topic that was later splitted and posted in the Family board.
Well, don't be. I am sure that no one, on this board, is or ever was offended or taken aback from any of your drawings. They are always hard to comment because they speak of your feelings, and no one should dare to look down on any others feeling. No one dared here to think your pictures were unappropriate or worse.... they are some of the highest examples of art, the ones that comes from the heart, regardless of what its contents might be.

So please, don't feel bad about all this, and don't blame yourself. Place your picture back here so all of us will be able to share, if even a bit, your emotions. It's one of the things that make this place so very special. :)

 :lisa: : Please?

I really don't think there's any scorn or hatred directed towards you Gustavo.   Yes, there were some (legitimate in my opinion) concerns addressed in that other thread but it was all reasonably calm - especially considering the subject matter.   You're just unlucky that LisaSimpsonLover, whoever that is, happened to choose your thread to ask that question.   It probably would have happened eventually even if you hadn't posted the poem (which is apparently what LSL picked up on rather than the picture) so you don't bear any responsibility for that thread.
In terms of your art, personally I have never been offended by anything you have drawn.   I must admit that in a couple of cases, I have been just a little taken aback but I have never seen anything by you that has been in bad taste.   Given that I appear to be one of the more conservative members on here, I don't think you need worry that you have offended anyone.   As for the wine glass pic, well yes, that was one that I wasn't entirely comfortable with.   I was assuming that given the wine, it was an adult Lisa so my only criticism would be that sometimes your style doesn't always make this clear - I'm guessing due to the anime influence.   I certainly DID NOT consider it to be offensive.

Hey, if you remember correctly, before posting your picture, you asked me if it's okay for the forum. And I looked at your picture and answered yes, it's perfectly fine, and I still think so! So if someone's guilty here, it's me, not you. And I don't recommend blaming me either *cracks knuckles*, because first of all, I'm fed up with stupid accuses lately, second, that picture was totally innocent and anyone who thinks otherwise is a gay. :D Seriously talking, Gustavo, stop pouting, nobody ever looked sideways at you, and re-post your beautiful Lisa piccie already. :)

well… I believe that this theme is closed (by the moment)… and if you do not wish to watch the drawing you do not do it .....

but please  remember:that it is impossible to fight against the love… and the  separation with your love only widens the abyss between these two dimensions…between the hell and the sky....

My late comment about the "romanticism": I like it. To my opinion, the most beautiful part here is the shading on Lisa's hair... it's so well done, almost magical. Lisa must have spent hours brushing her locks for that pic. :)
I don't really understand the meaning of the wine glasses, the fact that she's spilling it on her legs makes me curious. But it's still an interesting touch. And the lonely expression on her face... aw, tell me how to cheer her up, and I'll do it. ;) Anyway, it's a sweet drawing, and nice work with background, too. It's simple but it works for the picture.

I'm looking up to comment more of your new pictures soon...

Resurrection
She is so beautiful, like a fairy of a flower sitting in her refuge, a newborn little child without a parents, pure nature created by. Such a poetic scene, it seems as if I can hear her angelic singing and the sweet light melody, someting of reed-pipes and chorals present there. The charming landscape feets the atmosphere very nice, the whole picture is very harmonious and peaceful. Thank you for your good job :) (oh, the eyes so delightful and clear...like the fathomlessdome of the sky above her)

What a splendidn coloring to a splendid picture. the symbolism here is as simple as it is strong.. Lisa, born from a flower. Reminds me of Venus born from a sea shell... but lisa beats her in beauty hands down :D

What can i say more... i agree with Yggdrasil and his praise, i can almost feel a heavenly voice singing to me from that picture. ^_^ beautiful.

"A box of candy" is a colorful drawing :) and it has my favorite subject... *Dagdamor adores*

One little thing keeps bugging me though - am I the only one that thinks that both Lisa and Maggie look too much off-model? I look at your older drawings, Gustavo, Lisa resembles herself more there.
Sorry if my words sound rude, I just want to understand what happens. And I don't want to say the picture is badly done. No, it looks beautiful, technically, it's very interesting too, and the subject behind the picture is adorable :) but I suspect that you're losing yourself in your drawing style. Or I'm exaggerating?

but I suspect that you're losing yourself in your drawing style. Or I'm exaggerating?

ohhhhh!!!! in reality Serge????
heh heh heh

well i need talk about this :)

FIRST

it is impossible to take the control from my hand when drawing… to me.. the classic model of Lisa no is important
and on my old models.. too... I am not artist… never has interested to me…. ;)
and I believe that I do not feel vocation to draw….
I create sincerely that most of the forum it knows my motivation  on lisa and on the drawing….    :red:

SECOND

the control of our minds and our creativity is a process that never finish…. my models have been changing in the time in search of a style that is to me comfortable and that makes me feel happy… it can sound a little hard (also) but is a subject that does not worry to me…

I have all the life to try to perfect my technique  :lisa:and the time no is a theme importtant (too)… most important it is to feel the happiness drawing… if you feel that you cannot draw better we will enter a sad status and a period of the dark we must feel happy with our style of art… each one is unique…. to imitate other style or to follow rules strict to obtain something never will obtain nothing…. and they caused drakness and hatred…

THIRD

and please understand me...walk on rules in this life is bad.. no only with the sketch.... with all.... the liberty of the spirit in a treasure .... live with wings to fly is a new destiny..... :lisa: ... The sketch and the art are Free!

PD:
Thanks to all by the replys :) your words are the river of my happiness and your smiles my force :star:

well a small gift . This a a poem of the chilean poet Pablo Neruda... enjoy...

Poem 20 Pablo Neruda :star:

Tonight I Can Write
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
Write, for example, "The night is starry
and the stars are blue and shiver in the distance."
The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.
Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.
She loved me, sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.
To hear the immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.
What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is starry and she is not with me.
This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.
My sight tries to find her as though to bring her closer.
My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.
The same night whitening the same trees.
We, of that time, are no longer the same.
I no longer love her, that's certain, but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.
Another's. She will be another's. As she was before my kisses.
Her voice, her bright body. Her infinite eyes.
I no longer love her, that's certain, but maybe I love her.
Love is so short, forgetting is so long.
Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.
Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her. :lisa:

Gustavo
Yes, your style changed a little, but as you said, it's a process that never finish, so it's something natural to see. I still see that's it's Maggie and Lisa and they are beautiful and picture is full of love.
Oh, and poem is beautiful. Never known that Neruda is from your country  :red:

Ribbons! :D Yes, your style is very unique, and I like it :) Any kind of artist should have their own unique style of creating whatever it is they create. You are a good example of someone who's own style is clearly reflected in their work, and makes them recognizable and admired :)

/me tears apart with the loud crack

I admit, I cannot choose! Both of them are adorable.
Okay, you've convinced me, Gustavo. Draw Lisa as you need, using the style you like more. Apparently you still can draw "canonic" Lisa a skyscraper height better than me, so I can't object or nitpick here. :)

Wow, Gustavo... Both versions are great! Very sweet and adorable! Smooth lines and warm colours make them look so... huggable, as Andreas said. Keep it up, please :)

Actually, I'd still be able to recognise the "classic" version as a Gustavo-drawn Lisa and that's no bad thing in my opinion as I like to see different styles.
